I need to update my review on Chloe. She brought my 8 wk old Maltese puppy, Bentley, from Houston to Myrtle Beach, SC. Not only did Chloe take extra precautions regarding his health because he was so young. She also worked on me in the price. I was previously scammed by an unscrupulous (supposedly) breeder who not only took all of my money and didn't deliver the puppy and they also stole my identity. She worked with me on my budget. Not only was she in Houston for another transport, she made sure she picked him up the same day that I booked her. She treated him like he was also her own furkid. She drove straight through dealing with some pretty bad weather. She stayed in touch with me during the whole transport, arrived when promised. Chloe put me and my friend that bought him for me at ease. My friend said, she's an Angel. I didn't worry one bit and neither did my friend. After being scammed out of close to $2000. I would normally be leery of anyone who promised me the Moon but stole from me. I did not have one single doubt about her. There are not enough good things I can say about Chloe!
I was ripped off for $450.00 by a highly rated driver that they recommended to me. They stated that the driver had 50 trips and 5 stars. The driver ghosted me, did not show up on the date promised and kept my 450.00 deposit. When contacted, Citizenshipper took no responsibility and said I was on my own. Be very careful who you select because this company WILL NOT stand behind their drivers. It also became known after this happened that this driver was doing this to other people and Citizenshipper DID NOT notify or warn me.

I signed up for a free 30 day trial and cancelled my account which I took a screenshot of and got an email confirmation and they still charged my account. Doesn't surprise me. I signed up as a licensed transport company and they have very few loads hence little relevant business on the site. Beware and do not sign up for their trial. They will attempt to charge you even if you cancel.
This business model is a scam for all people looking for animal transport. You're not permitted to speak or screen drivers before paying them a hefty deposit. If the driver turns out to be flaky or hard to work with, Citizen Shipper will do anything they can to screw the buyer and protect the driver. Beware of this company and using their services

I must admit I was reluctant at first to trust my pet with a total stranger, but Matt did an excellent job. He picked up my golden doodle in New Jersey and brought him to me in Florida healthy and happy with updates along the way. I highly recommend the driver and will be using this service again!
Beware of this company! I hired two different female transporters, which was the worst experience. Emi pet transport and Roll A Way Pets transport are scammers. Wanted money up front before picking up or delivering my cat to me. Neither transporter communicated efficiently. Date changes, lies, totally inconvenienced myself and family. This company has no customer service, except for email. I wouldn't trust anyone working for this company to transport my pet. A month lady I am now having to transport on my own! Complete scam and waste of time!

I hired "Pawsome" pet transport, The guy cancelled on day of pick up and I am still waiting on the rest of my refund.He gave me 350 back so far of 600 and says I have to wait a couple of weeks but his profile sates 5 to 7 business days.I had to scramble and get another company and they are wonderful.I will use them directly.In other words you pay 170 fee with citizenshipper and whatever goes wrong with you and the driver, then it's not citizenshipper fault.You put your trust into a stranger.I will never use them again.

A very good platform to transport your pet. One thing to aware is their fee plan is quite non-transparent. I just booked a transport of my pet for $300 for the driver and then I found the fee for CitizenShipper was $105.
I think the amount (30% fee) is pretty high but the worse part is that you would not know the $105 fee was NOT a down payment for the driver (very murky explanation unless you scrutinize the fine prints). They really need to be more transparent for their fee schedule. Almost a scam was what I felt.
As a comparison a similar platform UShip has a service charge of only $25 for a ~$300 job. And they present the service fee very clearly, unlike this CitizenShipper!
In conclusion, for your next pet transport, use UShip not CitizenShipper, given $325 (UShip) vs. $405 (CitizenShipper).

This was my first time using CitizenShipper, and the transport company came through as true professionals when they brought my pup from Tucson to Portland. Thumbs up all around--a very good experience.
Due to an extended hospital stay i had to make rushed long distance arrangements for the care of my dogs. Citizenshipper came though twice, hooking me up with excellent dog transportation experts. My doggies arrived safe and sound at a reasonable cost. Citizenshipper is a great resource for shipping all kinds of hard to ship items, not just pets. Check it out!

Selected a bid for transport and paid extra for a solo trip for my pets. After I paid the deposit, the contractor changed the dates of pick up and delivery. Poor communication throughout. Driver admitted to transporting other dogs and spent 12 hours in Nashville on "personal business". Would not share GPS information until third day of transport (supposed to be a two day trip) unsure if cats have been let out of cages at all. Discussed concerns with driver and was told "cats like cages" and that what he was doing in Nashville was none of my business. Reached out to citizenshipper to express concerns. Initially responsive but have not followed up. I would not recommend this company and will not use them in the future

As the positive post generated here and elsewhere by their drivers these people are dishonest, after issuing a quote and you agree they ask for a deposit in good faith and once you pay here comes the surprises in my case an extra $137 plus they originally stated $479 and then changed it to $650 and then almost $800 and after cancelling within 2 minutes as I saw that this was a scam they kept the deposit and I can prove all of it which I will continue. You been warned! Also look at last photo and notice how they tried to change the quote for a third time. Scam
This company lost my dog and kept him in his own crap for over 5 days. Driver lost my dog. Will never get him back. Company is not and will not take responsibility or help. Driver left saying 'not liable, not my issue' after losing my rescue.

They won't refund the $159.99, even though I contacted them right after booking because the shipper isn't available to pick up for the time I need. Even when the cancellation policy says they will refund if that's the case. But now I'm fighting tooth and nail to try to Get a refund. I have never in my life dealt with a company who don't even follow their own policies!

I booked through Citizenshipper to ship a pair of speakers from mid west to east coast via West Coast Sunset Service (Sarah Smith). I consulted with Citizenshipper when Sarah Smith asked for 50% upfront and they said it is okay to do so. When she was late for 2 weeks and finally picked up the speakers, she asked for another 25% which I paid. Since then, she never updated me the delivery date and refused to respond on ETA or her current route. When confronted, she threatened to put my speakers in storage and put a lien on it (really, do you know what a lien is for). I gave her the benefits of doubts that she may deliver eventually. Eventually, is another 4 weeks and no updates. I'll file charges against her mid December. Stay away.

The site takes no responsibility for the people that transit items/animals on their website. They got two stars for giving me a credit towards taking another chance. They would not give me my money back (since I no longer felt comfortable using the site) agreed to a price with a driver for pick up of a puppy but then after getting my deposit refused to give the breeder the needed contact info the day before he was suppose to pick up the puppy. Was VERY shady. So we didn't feel comfortable releasing the puppy to him. So he got $150 out of me for doing nothing other than screwing me and putting me in a difficult position with the breeder. I was stuck using this site because I didn't want to loose the outrageous $100+ fee on top of the already $150 dollars.

Citizenshipper is going down the drain soon, figuratively speaking...they hire non usda certified drivers and allow anyone on their platform to transport and there has been numerous cases of issues with the animals.

I made a reservation to transport my 2 dogs across the country from MA to CA for a total of $3000 + fees. I paid 50% + $250 finder's fees up front, but had to cancel about 2 weeks before the scheduled pick-up date because my family was no longer moving. CitizenShipper refused to refund me the $1500 driver's fee even though their website clearly states that there are no cancellation fees if they were notified at least 3 days before the scheduled pick-up date. Instead, they offered an 'e-credit' which is not helpful because I'm longer moving. I've already reported this to the BBB hoping they can resolve the matter. I do not recommend using this service because they promise one thing but do another.

I found a great shipper at a great price on CitizenShipper.com. Bravo Nation, Inc. hauled an aircraft from Delaware to Texas for us. My only complaint is CitizenShipper rates 278.00 for their part was considerably higher than Uship charges.
Gave my "transporter" 4 stars because he worked hard to make this happen, but equipment limitations did not allow it. However, Citizenshipper right away gave me a credit for the money I had paid and now I will re-list my shipment. Hopefully it works out this time.
We are quite pleased with the service. They helped us find a pet transport driver in a pretty fast time frame. We were met with several different options to chose from and the process was pretty easy and hassle free. The only complaint we have is that there service fee is a little steep with it being 180 for us.
