I need to update my review on Chloe. She brought my 8 wk old Maltese puppy, Bentley, from Houston to Myrtle Beach, SC. Not only did Chloe take extra precautions regarding his health because he was so young. She also worked on me in the price. I was previously scammed by an unscrupulous (supposedly) breeder who not only took all of my money and didn't deliver the puppy and they also stole my identity. She worked with me on my budget. Not only was she in Houston for another transport, she made sure she picked him up the same day that I booked her. She treated him like he was also her own furkid. She drove straight through dealing with some pretty bad weather. She stayed in touch with me during the whole transport, arrived when promised. Chloe put me and my friend that bought him for me at ease. My friend said, she's an Angel. I didn't worry one bit and neither did my friend. After being scammed out of close to $2000. I would normally be leery of anyone who promised me the Moon but stole from me. I did not have one single doubt about her. There are not enough good things I can say about Chloe!
I was ripped off for $450.00 by a highly rated driver that they recommended to me. They stated that the driver had 50 trips and 5 stars. The driver ghosted me, did not show up on the date promised and kept my 450.00 deposit. When contacted, Citizenshipper took no responsibility and said I was on my own. Be very careful who you select because this company WILL NOT stand behind their drivers. It also became known after this happened that this driver was doing this to other people and Citizenshipper DID NOT notify or warn me.
So happy with my experience was easy and affordable. I would highly reccommend. Our driver took the time to explain the delivery date to us, and she delivered on time

As a community based shipping service, Citizenshipper gave us in the rescue world a sense of reassurance with transporting rescues to safety in their network of transporters. As with any service, it is the responsibility of the client to vet the service. Whether it be a foster home, rescue to rescue transfer or adoptive home, to the service used in providing a safe arrival of that rescue pet. Citizenshipper provides the extra resource with oversight of their transporters that use this site. Any concerns whether it is minimal to considerable is addressed quickly by the CS reps. In my experience, reading the profiles and the terms of the exchange to open communication is vital to a successful transport. Working with a couple of these transporters in the last couple of months, EVERY transport of our vulnerable rescue pets taken out of harm's way was without a doubt, transported with over and beyond compassionate care for them. Absolutely amazing job well done. Thank you to Bailey's Best Care and A203Transportation in providing professional and caring transport of our rescue dogs.

Helene was amazing. She took excellent care of my dog. She drove him from Springdale Arkansas to San Diego. She went above and beyond for my fur baby Nicoli.
Quick and easy to use the site. Will use again. First driver did not respond after being booked. They were very accomodating with sitching fees paid to new driver.

I got multiple quotes in a short period of time, and then after I accepted a quote, I wasn't continuously bombarded with emails. It is a very good system!

Wow! I had an EXCELLENT experience off Citizenshipper.com. I booked Doug through the website and he is a fantatic carrier and a great guy. He came in on a bid very reasonable. He wasn't the lowest, but not the most expensive either. When I read his reviews I knew I found my carrier. I contacted him through the Citizenshipper web site, got his details and booked him. He showed up at my sellers location when he said he would and communicated with the seller without really even having to have me act as a go between. Doug then took extra steps to insure my new motorcycle was safe and sound before he hit the road and got everything that needed to come with the bike. He even ended up upgrading me to enclosed shipping at no extra charge. Once on the road Doug updated me at the beginning and end of everyday with his location and ETA. Before booking I halfway expected the motorcycle to maybe be delievered the first part of the following week. NO! Doug ended up delivering Thursday morning! Well, Well exceeding any and all of my expectations by like 5 days. He dove with God's speed. I can not recommend Doug enough for all of your shipping needs. You will absolutely NOT regret it. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had with any shipping and I have shipped things a couple of times with other carriers. How Doug handles things reminds me of how things use to be with honesty, courtesy, respect and timeliness. A good business man who cares for what he does and his clients. She arrived 10 days later, malnourished, sick with a cold and stomach - She had to go on antibiotics. You dropped her off with a crate not even containing a wee pad at 4am!
She was full of urine!
You left her without enough food
Barely communicated and lied about your whereabouts everyday to both the breeder and myself
You endangered her well being not to mention how skiddish she is as a result of that experience under your care!

Citizens shippers went unresponsive to calls and emails, where I Pleaded for intervention with this woman driver who drove her through literally 12 states so she could keep getting more animals. This conduct was apparently okay with you CitizenShippers?
It was all about money, not the well-being of pets?
I do not recommend this company, and or the driver mentioned.
While I understand this is a 3rd party service, they really did nothing to help us when our shipper basically didn't communicate with us and then threatened to leave our dog where he was! It's not ok to claim to "just be a 3rd party" and allow reckless drivers to hide behind their company. The driver threatened my husband because we had contacted the company mid-service to say we still didn't have our dog. He called my husband a "little $#*!" and wanted to fight him. How do you still employee someone like this? Our dog was covered in feces and our breeder was not happy with the car conditions either!
I will say that I did get a phone call from Shawn McMenamin the Shipping Customer Liaison Manager who seemed concerned and they did an "investigation" but it came down to "While we took both you and the breeder as having a great deal of credibility, we had to weigh that against the track record of the long standing driver and the lack of documentable evidence." Well, why would I waste my time making up a story like this? We have a very busy life and I am taking the time so others don't have to go through this.
One positive that hopefully will come out of this ( thus the 2 stars) is they seem to be now looking into a tracking system for all pets, which they should have already have.
I would say make sure your driver shares a tracker from DAY 1. I would make sure you demand pictures and updates. And I would hold Citizen shipper responsible for tracking their drivers!
Hi Amy, this sounds like a frustrating situation all around. As you probably know the drivers are independent contractors and as such, we have limited control over them. We expect professional levels of service from each one but unfortunately we can’t discipline them without documentation. I read through your interaction with our support department and i see the agents tried really hard to make sure the event was investigated to find out if we had enough proof to make a case. There was not enough proof of negligence on the part of the driver and therefore should we discipline him, there would be legal repercussions. We are working on implementing a plan to put GPS trackers on pets during shipping but making sure we have the best units possible. We do appreciate all customer feedback so that we can make positive changes to the processes and improve outcomes across the board, so thank you for helping us implement good changes.

Nesta Howell received over $1,000 to commute our pets from Fort Worth Texas to North Carolina. We are here and our pets are still in Texas.
Nesta Howell is refusing to refund our money or make good on the delivery. One of our pets got sick before leaving Texas and she abandoned them at the Veterinarian Clinic.
The Veterinarian informed us that cats where cleared to travel and she refused to go pick them up. Our mother has since picked up our 3 healthy pets.
Abandoned pets ultimately result in euthanization.
We have repeatedly asked Nasta Howell for a refund of all or a portion of our money because the delivery of our pets had not occurred.
We have repeatedly asked her to deliver them and she refuses. Nesta Howell is very combative, argumentative and heartless.
Nesta Howell has pocketed over $1000 dollars and fails to deliver what we in good faith hired her to do.
This is not the kind of person you want to trust or interact with.
CitizenShipper….we are asking you to block her account and protect other families from this fraud and emotional distress and harm.
