Oh friendly until they get your CC info then it's over. Obscure directions to cancel which leads you to a screen that they ask you to select auto renewal to cancel which you just selected auto renewal. These people are the low of the low. I have dealt with blatant thieves before, the only thing they are missing is a gun in your face. Please people avoid at all costs or join the herd trying to stop them from robbing you blind. Under "NOTES", it shows I have 5,000 characters available to post what's on my mind - typically life's update. The change only lets me type 200 characters and it stops. I have contacted the help people 4 times about this and I simply get a follow-up email each time from a different person stating they are working on it. I think it has been near 3 months and no resolve - just a generic response just like the ones I see here from Classmates. Sorry to disconnect from some class mates, but the subscription is too much for what I use it for and the IT department hasn't a clue on how to fix a program issue - one they surely made when "upgrading" the site to provide me with a better experience. Does anyone know what "less is more" or "keep it simple" means anymore?

Beware of this company! I signed up for a year and tried to cancel a year later on Saturday 5/25. The company is closed on weekends but they managed to charge my PayPal on 5/25 for $60!
When I emailed them for the $60 refund, they won't respond. They don't have a phone number listed so I can't speak to anyone.
5 emails later, still no response.
Zero customer service!
Many years ago I purchased a special offer lifetime membership which I used for a long time without issue. Now that my 50th reunion is coming up, suddenly I can't access my account and customer service says there's no such thing as a lifetime membership! RIP off.

Classmates.com does not understand the unsubscribe function. I have unsubscribed more times than I can count yet they usually resubscribe me in a few weeks without my permission. I am now reporting them as spam and do not let Google unsubscribe. They won't take NO for an answer.

They are a Scam and Fraudulant! Uncooperative and Rude. I was charged $96.00 on 12/07/2023 without my approval. They said that they renew every 4 years and one must let them know after automatically doing so to cancel before the next auto charge. Do not do business with this company they are not to be believed.

Stoe 99 dollars from me without any notice. Charged me that much to renew and did not tell me of the pending charge. Did not get refund even though I asked for one. Crooked. NOt worth the robbery. I was dubious about spending 12 dollars a year to see my fat old classmates. Run away from these guys. Robbery

Was notified by PayPal 1/11/24 $96 was paid out to Classmates. I called Classmates to cancel subscription and was told it would cancel 1/11/2026. I was told I was notified of the renewal and price increase which I have no record of. Reviewing the hundreds of complaints filed with The Better Business Bureau, Classmates has perfected the art of legal theft and should be avoided.

Not to my knowledge, I was automatically renewed, Then I've now been on my phone waiting for representative to answer, now over 24 minutes. Then hung up on me. That way folks will just hang up. There appears to be no place on the website to contact or cancel!
Further, they continually say classmates have "visited", but it's the same ones over and over.
Classmates makes it unnecessarily difficult for friends and fellow students to find photos I've posted for them to see. It offers very little to users compared to other social media programs even though Classmates charges membership fees while others are free. And now users encounter numerous advertisements while using the Classmates app, so users pay to view ads! Prepare yourself to be disappointed!
Not only did I not connect with anyone from my high school graduating class, I had a very unpleasant interaction with a male from the class that graduated one year before me. I never met him nor did I have any connection with him, but he insulted me by saying I was ugly in high school and still appeared to be ugly. I graduated over 50 years ago and this person simply posted a private message to insult someone from his home town.
Site will will take your money by making unauthorized forward billing notifying one after the have all real ready charge you for renewals at highest possible price option. Also Site takes person info and shares or sells your info?! Facebook some how ends up with personal photos posted at Classmates & visa versa?
This appears to be a Data collecting (gathering) tool for commercial interests and is abusing its customer base. Users beware.
Finally fell for the "who's been looking for you?' line and signed on for one year@ $24. What a mistake.
I immediately saw that a classmate "looked at my profile" in March 2020... I happen to know she died in 2015.
Had regrets immediately... the whole site is pop up ads and no useful info. Fortunately I paid thru PayPal and stopped any auto billing... so I'm out 24 bucks but they won't get me again. There is no way to contact any customer service directly by email. No refunds allowed... Crap site... don't waste your money.

I have gotten an email from Classmates.com EVERY day telling me someone has viewed my profile. Their notice is regarding a "view" I got 5 weeks ago yet they tell me about it every single day. Are they really so poorly programmed as to do this or do they think it generates more interest? It just makes me delete every message without looking. Isn't there a better sight for keeping up with old classmates an reunion info?
I joined this site to help find classmates for a reunion. Found a lot of people on there who had signed up over the years, but no contact information was available so I sent them all a message on the site. Haven't heard back from a single one. My guess is that the messages don't get sent out. If THEY haven't paid they can't get their messages.
If you are trying to get in touch with old class mates, you're better off to try another way.

I initially subscribed with about a $7 payment. I did not realize payments were automatic. They cheated me of $15 and would not refund me. You don't really get any information that's worth anything either... don't waste your money!
I called as soon as a $96.00 charge for 1 year showed up for this service. I was forced into retirement after a major accident last year and now on a limited income. Spoke to the frontline person and management….they didn't care.
For the past two years, I paid $36 a year. Because I signed up for auto renew, there is "nothing" that they can do. They said they sent a reminder email in June. It never arrived.
With the number of members of every high school in the US, they are sure making a lot of money for very little return. An email here and there indicating someone has visited your site! Like, they just LOOKED at your profile. And, that is it. Unless, you count their e-mails selling year books. Worth VERY little and certainly not 96 dollars worth. Extremely disappointed.

I didn't even know I was still on their website. They charged me today, I got right to PayPal and now I still can't get my money back. Auto pay, thats how they are ripping off people! I said they sent me an email OK they send emails every day who the hell reads every one of them. The only reason I gave one star is because I can just submit it without putting one on

You have to keep an eye on this website. They slide automatic renewals on you very slyly and the first thing you know your checking account is minus $72. They have all legal ground because they will send you an email in advance but it appears generic and certainly doesn't mention an amount, which might actually get your attention. After you are charged and request a refund or cancel you will receive an email saying "after the current term", which means they keep your money. I'm done with them.
If you're considering purchasing a yearbook from them, DONT DO IT! It's a rip off. Book is of very poor quality and not worth what you pay for it. I wouldn't spend a dime for it much less the $75 I actually purchased it for (on sale). Poor customer service also. The yearbook had 4 pages of a love note written to the former owner. Classmates heads cut off at top of every page.
I recommend you donate your money to a charitable organization instead of wasting it on purchasing one of their yearbooks.

If I could give this site a 0 star, I would. Unbelievable, how you do not get any reminders on upcoming renewal fees. On top of that, they do not have a deactivation on there site. Contacted customer support over 4 times via email and finally received an email. Take a look at the attachment. Stealers is what this company is! Beware!
