“Ripoff, abusing people wanting to connect, they are a disease”

Oh friendly until they get your CC info then it's over. Obscure directions to cancel which leads you to a screen that they ask you to select auto renewal to cancel which you just selected auto renewal. These people are the low of the low. I have dealt with blatant thieves before, the only thing they are missing is a gun in your face. Please people avoid at all costs or join the herd trying to stop them from robbing you blind. As several others have stated in reviews now I go to bank and either stop payments at $35.00 per month or change account numbers to stop this nest of rodents Mike P Texas

I was OK with the site and have been a member for a few years, but things have changed. Why they have to continually change the format and add/remove features is beyond me - but maybe it simply justifies their overpriced fee. They changed things and I cannot post as I had in the past. Under "NOTES", it shows I have 5,000 characters available to post what's on my mind - typically life's update. The change only lets me type 200 characters and it stops. I have contacted the help people 4 times about this and I simply get a follow-up email each time from a different person stating they are working on it. I think it has been near 3 months and no resolve - just a generic response just like the ones I see here from Classmates. Sorry to disconnect from some class mates, but the subscription is too much for what I use it for and the IT department hasn't a clue on how to fix a program issue - one they surely made when "upgrading" the site to provide me with a better experience. Does anyone know what "less is more" or "keep it simple" means anymore?

I am 87 years old and all of my classmates are deceased and they charged me 21.60 in march of 2023 saying I had enrolled in December and it was up to me to tell them I no longer wanted to be a member. They refused to refund my money. They are not to be trusted at all!

Do not use this site they charge before notifying you and the worst part is you cant get a Refund for a membership you don't want. They are horrible and try nothing to help the situation.So very bad customer service and horrible site

I paid for a yearbook and never received it! Then i tried to get in touch with them! WOW talk about impossible,i tried for about 3 weeks and still haven't got my yearbook order yet or my money back.Do not ORDER from them.

They automatically put my account on automatic renewal the same day my credit card was charged I contacted them and they declined to refund my money they do this all the time this outfit is a scam save your money and leave this outfit alone.

I canceled my subscription 5 days after the automatic billing date. That was 3 months ago and they said they would refund my money. Has not happened. It is difficult to see that the subscription is automatically renewed. Buyer beware.

After resisting for many years, I joined classmates.com because they emailed me that 25 people had visited my profile and I was curious who they were because frankly I doubt I spoke to 25 different people while I was in HS. After joining and finding 3 names I recognized and 20+ I didn't, I emailed some of them and they unanimously indicated they never visited my profile and/or never knew me. I'll be cancelling my membership soon.

Well guess I am not the only one running into a mess with Classmates. I got notice a few days ago that a renewal was paid from my PayPal account. When I checked PayPal I found they had paid $96 for a 2 year renewal that I was never notified about. PayPal did not get the money back since they said I had no documentation to prove Classmates couldn't charge me! Holy cow! Classmates was happy to move my account to non-renewal status per some setting and no more charges would occur. Classmates will not refund the $96 they charged me even though I said I was canceling on the exact date of renewal. Oh my where has this country gone with such scrupulous charging and non-willing to discuss the cancellation of membership. BAD companies, both of them, stay away or you will end up with similar non-agreed upon charging.

I was pleased that I joined Classmates.com Through membership, I was able to reunite with classmates from 40+ years ago. This resulted in many of us meeting again for a reunion after 40+ years. Since our small highschool had closed down years ago, this site helped us find each other again. Very pleased.

They used to have a dating website. I've tried it a while ago and it was waste of money and time. Many members didn't reply to my e-mails. Those who did only replied once and after I've replied didn't reply.

They get a few people you went to school with, then message them that someone looked at your page. Then when you check to see, it's just someone that checked their page that was given the same notice. This goes round and around, never anyone you knew, never a new person. Then it says you have mail, that's them trying to sell you more worthless crap. Then they autobill you a hundred bucks a yeat and won't refund it without sending notice that they are going to bill you.

The latest interaction with this company happened in June when I received an email offer for 3 months of access for $10. It was only for 3 months, not a trial, just 3 months. I had not used this site in years because I didn't really see the value. My first experience using the site was when I sent in my copy of my Yearbook and the offered me a month free service. I told them that I would not send them my Yearbook for one month of service, and requested one year of free service, they agreed. I later noticed that they were selling copies of my Yearbook for $99! Back to my latest experience, at the end of the three months the charged $21.60 to my Paypal account! I never agreed to this!

They use java script its a known weakness to hackers if you have used this site in the past they will have your name and password not to mention the site itself is a known scam to steal your money its not free

Said my account was opened in 2001 and charged in 2023. Will not refund a 96 dollar Charge for what I have no idea. This is a rip-off company. I feel very violated as I have no way to battle this company for this charge. For nothing! Don't use this company!

I signed up for services, introductory rate. They say it's automatic renewal and I was told. I wasn't. Then they double billed me claiming I signed up under 2 different email. I didn't They refused to credit the double billing. Furthermore, they notify me of contacts from people from different classes. I'm overwhelmed with notifications. Then they say, I contacted myself.

I'm sure I'm not the only person complaining about not getting a refund back. Classmates should alert subscribers about the renewal payment. Not providing a refund and not alerting you about an upcoming payment makes them seem desperate.

I signed up for a trial and immediately I had problems signing in. I contacted customer service about it and just kept getting the response "An email will be sent to you within 15 minutes to reset your password". The emails never came. I called them several times and again the 15 minute email. Finally I called them to cancel my subscription and guess what? Yup, a cancelation confirmation email In 15 minutes, it never came and they continued to take my money. I finally had to cancel my card and get a new one. DONT JOIN...

I purchased a three month trial membership and there was no email to request continued membership or notification of renewal date. I found a charge on my bank statement, the same day the draw was initiated. I immediately contacted customer service for a cancellation and refund request. No response. I sent a second request, no response. I contacted the BBB and filed a complaint. Only then did I receive a response with a statement: "we are issuing a refund." I would not recommend any membership with this organization. In fact, they stated this was a voluntary "one" refund. Even Paypal would not refund because it appeared as a auto renewal. BEWARE!

Tip for consumers:
Beware of "auto-renew". They charge for the year, and their stated policy is no refunds.

They can't even get the year I graduated right,I tried to cancel but it's almost like joining Scientology, it's almost impossible for me to cancel I'm really sick of them.
I unsubscribed like five times and they still can't get it through their head that I no longer want to be part of classmates.com.
Now they want me to click a rating I can't even rate them one star, but in order for me to continue I have to click one even though I do believe it's zero.

Don't waste your money! Even as a copy of the original it has VERY POOR quality. Pictures are BLURRY/FUZZY and it's HARD TO READ much of the printed material. Some photos are just faded and some over saturated. In either case it's hard to to discern some of the faces.
Base on the NO RETURN policy they knew people would be dissatisfied. It looks like a copy of a copy of a copy… Even if Classmates.com used an old copier running low on toner they could have done a better job.
Search the internet, search eBay, search anywhere before you buy this!

Tip for consumers:
Don’t use Classmates.com for a copy of your yearbook.

Classmates business practice leaves a lot to be desired. Don't give them you credit card. They take your money and you have no way to get it back. Buyer beware.

Tip for consumers:
Got charged without permission. If you check the one year subscription it is for life. the only way I know to stop it is cancel the credit card.

So I got a yearbook from here and let me tell you this was not my first choice after reading what people had been through on classmates so I looked at other places but this was the only one that had the yearbook that I wanted so I prayed to God that it would come in time for a gift that I am giving and it did! I am sooo happy with how it came out and that it came on time for my mom's birthday gift. If you are wanting to get a yearbook from here get one but I know for some people things go wrong but sometimes you have to take a chance and let me tell you I took a Big chance lol but it came and it's the right one so I am happy

I highly recommend do not sign up the classmates.com I signed up inadvertently a few years back there is a picture that they posted on Google that has me next to and accuse pedophile I repeatedly contacted them to take it down absolutely no response so be very careful what picture you put out there this is the website I tried to get them take it down https://goo.gl/ /FUUpMN

Once they have your cresit card they set your account for automatic renewal without your approval. They do not return calls or messages. Be careful.

They lost a lawsuit dor several milliom dollars for using yearbook pictures without approval of the classmate.

Do not sign for paid service.

I ordered a yearbook for my husband's NYC-based high school and was sent one from California. When I tried to get a refund for THEIR mistake, they refused! They are not reputable and have scammed far too many individuals! I should have researched Classmates.com BEFORE doing business with them. There are tons of complaints about them online! 'CROOKS & SCAMMERS are we, Classmates.com'... should be their tagline!

Tip for consumers:
STEER CLEAR OF THEM! CLASSMATES.COM ARE SCAMMERS AND CROOKS WHO WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY FOR PURCHASES YOU DID NOT MAKE AND THEN REFUSE TO REFUND YOU!

I signed up for a few years, and I think it was $36, so $12. A year. It wasn't worth that. So I wasn't going to renew since you can do as much as a paying member than you can as a free member. Then I was hit with a $48. Charge with no notification. I looked into it, and that's for one year...$48 what a rip off. I requested a refund and to cancel, but was told no. Anyone joining should be made aware of this. What a ripoff!

Please be aware if you join as a paying member, read the fine print. They’ll charge you without notifying you once your “discounted” membership end. $48 for one year, when it wasn’t worth the discounted price.
