A German based company with German based expertise. Right now I am in the middle of what appears to me to be a bait and switch service outfit offering a 'halloween" special on a "premium" VPN service. Cleverbridge customer service is very efficiently handling. I talk to Cleverbridge at their (866) customer service number. That number and Cleverbridge history is published on the BBB of Chicago site. I currently have no reason to need to contact their BBB. Cleverbridge appears eager to either refund my payment or obtain delivery to me of exactly what I expected -- to get one year of premium VPN service for the $39.99 charged to my AmExp credit card.
I'm writing this comment to prevent you from making the same mistake I did. They are not reliable at all. If you purchase a service through them, they will shift the responsibility onto others and not take ownership of their insufficient service. Save your money and purchase services elsewhere. Regards, Manal

This has to be the worst site I have ever dealt with. I do not want to renew my subscription for Driver Support and every avenue I try to cancel is met with a brick wall feet thick. Worst thing I have ever done is trying to deal with this company who make it very easy to buy in but ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OUT OF.
Tip for consumers:
They advertise how easy it is to cancel subscriptions but it is almost impossible for one who is not totally computer literate. There seems to be no way to contact a person.
Cycle through valid credit card after valid credit card, waste your time, spend hours and hours using their site and talking to support. Abysmal experience renewing my Parallels subscription. Awful service

Despite boasting of their excellent customer service I found it to be beyond dismal. We canceled our subscription, the cancellation was confirmed, and was still charged a renewal fee. It took 6 weeks for them to respond to my question thru their portal. No phone number is listed, It took 3 months before I was able to get a "real person to correspond. I was denied the refund:because I was out of the 30 day request time frame. How does that make sense... I strongly discouraging purchasing this software
Tip for consumers:
Customer service is non responsive and difficult to work with

Had a really bad experience with this company recently bought a Product called Paragon stating clever bridge back them up. I got billed twice and sent me message stating I was not charged! My bank makes no mistake they clearly told me I was charged twice for that company Cleverbridge, first of all their website was unsecured, mostly for the page that you need to input your card info! Beware its a scam their fraud to the bone, I sent a friend from Chicago to see the office they supposedly have placed there and guess what there not there, they really are living in Germany! Taking money from Americans and possibly the rest of the world! If anybody from Cleverbridge wants to contact me feel free to do so, lets get this fixed asap, You can't steal from people!
Tip for consumers:
Do not purchase its a fraud!

I purchased Partition Master from EaseUs (which is a Chinese company) on 11/17/20 via Cleverbridge. Just 30 hours later, my credit card was hacked and being used to download Chinese-language cell phone games. Cleverbridge did not take the fraud seriously. They never responded to my issue.
Every purchase processed by this firm is met with a message from them that "processing is delayed". Completion of my purchases can take anywhere from minutes to actually days. I have purposely not purchased items, usually software, from companies because I am aware from previous transactions, that Cleverbridge will be handling the transaction. There is absolutely no excuse for delays. For heavens sake, these are electronic transactions and should only take minutes at the most.
I purchased software to retrieve data, the software didn't work or help me in any way - I requested a refund with in 24 hours and they responded back with - They cancelled my yearly subscription (which is worthless) and refused to refund the purchase price! I will never roll over and allow them to steal $74.85. If their software worked, I would be happy and move on - This software never did one thing it claimed - Total Fraud!
Background: I have multiple subscriptions and gave Cleverbridge a withdrawal agreement to my PayPal account for each individual subscription. I went into my PayPal account and cancelled one of the agreements as I no longer wished to subscribe for this particular software. Cleverbridge simply withdrew the money under a different agreement!
I'm currently battling with them to transfer the money back before going into legal action.
So if you can't avoid them, get yourself a Revolute account. And for every subscription create a one-time virtual debit card. Use this for the initial payment when entering the subscription. After that no more withdrawals are possible. Before the subscription goes into renewal, change your payment method for the software subscription to a new one-time credit card.
Is a bit of a nasty business if you have to manage multiple subscriptions this way, but heck, I have only one that I really need.
I've been using Malwarebytes for almost a decade. Renewals were automatic and simple. Wow - things have changed. I changed my email address and credit card info on their website in 2021 after selling my business. When automatic renewal was attempted this month, I received an email saying payment wouldn't go through. It appears they still have my old physical address listed, which may interfere with the billing. There's nowhere on their site to change this information and numerous requests for support have proven useless. Forget about "talking" to human being - not an option. I highly recommend using another product to protect your most sensitive assets... Your data and personal information. Cleverbridge has become an automated, money making machine.
I bought the convertor package. It stopped working and they will not upload it. Unbelievable. Included was 2 x additional uploads should it crash. Now they want me to pay £94 to install it
Tip for consumers:
I have to give a star, it would be no stars. Having to pay for installation of the convertor despite it being included in my initial cost.

Tried to get a refund for Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office
Unsuccessfully.
The software was absolutely useless and did not work, so I immediately requested a refund after the purchase. I received a message about a successful refund, the order was canceled, and the money was never returned. Now I have neither the money nor the product I paid for. This site is a scam, avoid it at all costs.

When I wanted a refund on Clorel, software and now, Novastor backup, the "can not find" dont know, havent seen my mail etc etc This is obviously a lie! Dont buy products that is connected to cleverbridge!
Fake, my last name starts with clever, and I never went to the web sight until it appeared on my bank account. I hereby request a refund of the $29.99 that was stolen from my account. If the refund is not put back into my account I will contact the Authorities and start legal proceedings.
Cleverbridge processes payments for Hidemyass. I have already written the HMA is being blocked by Netflix so I can't access US Netflix when I travel, which i do regularly.
I had an annual contract with HMA but wanted to cancel since it no longer works for me.
NOPE, can't cancel, can't get your money. You are basically left with contacting the credit card company, complaining of a fraudulent charge and getting a new credit card.
I am done with these companies.
If you buy a service and it no longer works you should be able to get your money back.
The companies should be embarrassed to provide poor service and if they can't fix the problem then refund your money.
Bad
Yes I know I can have autopay set-up for Cleverbridge, but I choose to control my cash outflow and would rather manually pay yearly. But you think that before cancelling my subrcriptions that Not-So-CleverBridge could send an email indicating an impending due date. No, they aren't as clever as they think they are. I just wish I could deal with the creators of the software so I could get reasonable service. Cleverbridge now clams that it might take over 24 hours to process a payment--in 2023? It's a credit card... have at er and get my business up and running again!

Cleverbridge sent me an invoice for a subscription for F-secure, although I never renewed my subscription. I have a "manual renewal" option on my subscription. I have now been emailing with them for several days and they refuse to answer why they have sent me the invoice or why they say that I have "made an order". They avoid answering any questions and there is a clear language misscomunication because they don´t know the proper terms, so the emailing goes on forever! This truly feels like a scam!
I have tried for over a year to stop auto renewing my winzip. Cleverbridge does not seem to offer a page where I can manage my subscriptions. I am placing them on a permanent "hold" with my credit card company.
Received a $39.99 charge on my credit card for Firewall protection with a recurring fee. I immediately canceled it and requested a refund. I did not order it. They refuse to refund the initial payment.
I'm disputing the charge with my bank. I wish I could do more. Horrible people, multiple negative scam
Comments on the Internet regarding their deceitful practices.
I received an email from TechAmerica/cleverbridge on 2/1/2022 stating my transaction has been processed and if I want to cancel and avoid the $349 charge I must do so be 1/2/2022 - 30 days ago. I called customer support, Albert, to question the charge for a service I never subscribed to and ensure that I wasn't charged. I requested the original proof of purchase and was told under one condition. Albert then explicitly shared the condition " Let me f. K you b. Tch" He then hung up. I was shocked. This situation should make anyone question doing business with them. TechAmerica is the company thy were allegedly representing
So on the 18th of April I see a charge on my card and a e-mail from CleverBridge renewing my Malwarebytes for a year@ $39.99. ( I had 244 days left on mine) what the hell, Called my Credit card company and disputed the charge, 2 days later I get an email from Cleverbridge saying they "refunded my Payment". The problem with these folks is they Just Do It, hoping you don't notice. Companies like this should NOT be allowed to be in Business.
Tip for consumers:
Do Not use this Company for anything

Cleverbridge is terrible. I purchase Malwarebytes every year on autorenewal. Received email that they are refunding my autopurchase and that my subscription is canceled. Turns out they receive reports about disputes every day and my CC was listed in error (I confirmed with CC co there are no disputes or blocks). Cleverbridge says it can do nothing, I have to start over. My take? Cleverbridge is NOT clever - they are dumber than a box of rocks. I'll pay for software without autorenewal from now on.

I purchased from Cleverbridge a license key for a software called Winrar that I was supposed to receive in my email.
The key never arrived. I emailed Winrar directly several times and they were completely unresponsive. Therefore I called Clverbridge directly since they are the company that I actually engaged with and paid.
They said they would reach out to Winrar. Still no licence key. It's been about two weeks now and I am asking for a refund. Cleverbridge refuses to help since they say the decision is completely up to Winrar.
I did not engage or pay Winrar, I paid Cleverbridge and I am Cleverbridges customer. They have my money and delivered no product.
Of course I will be disputing this with my credit card company but I really shouldn't have to do that step.
Very bad customer service and they definitely lost a customer. Hopefully other people will think twice because giving their credit card number to this company.
60+ yr CAD designer - using DraftSite s/w from Solidworks. Cleverbridge issued auto renewal charge as expected, but I didn't want / need the s/w anymore. Called the listed CS # and it took all of 2 min for them to verify my identity (email addr and, order ref #), and issue a full refund. Another 1-2 mins and emails were received from both cleverbridge and PayPal confirming cancelation and refund. Maybe I'm the exception, but I've have had absolutely no issue with this company and using CAD s/w DraftSite.
