“Climber.com got me interviews.”

Michael R.
4/22/20

Once I took the first step to set-up my Career Profile information, I started to see great results for the higher paying jobs in my job search. The service was no risk with their 30 day trial period w/ a 30 money back guarantee. Their Customer Service Department was very knowledgeable, courteous and honest. $39 Membership is a great value. If your looking for Interviews, Climber.com is for you. Sincerely, Michael Riches

This is a scam. Impossible to access once they have oversold their services. Buyer beware! After a week of constant emails and deflection to numbers for cancellation, you best call your payment choice CC company and enter into a dispute to recover funds. % 500 dollar purchase for the rewrite was told now required $ 649 rewrite to truly acquire the desired effect to SPEAK to a specialist. Do your self a favor use proven resume professional perhaps pay morel. Do look at Climber reviews I wish I had

I've used Climber for over a year now as a way to fill job positions that I am working on. I place candidates with companies of all types from small startups to companies like ATT. I've always been happy with their service, responsiveness to my concerns and their professionalism. Have you ever tried to get someone on the phone at the other job sites? Its als worth noting the people I have placed in jobs because of it were happy with Climber as well.

Hmm thanks to your site. They just called me and put me on the spot. While I spoke with them I found this site.

For one they don't say who they are when you receive the call!

As I read while listening to the pitch. Very interesting. She assured me they could find me a job even in the most remote place. Hmm. Flag two

So as I read and listened. I asked if I could call back to decide or sign up on line. She tried to persuade me to do it on the phone as it would take to long on line. This is a tell tail line that they are paid based on sign up. Flag three

So I offered to call her back as I needed to do research on the company. IMMEDIATELY she hung up on me. FLAG Four.

Sorry but no good and also don't always trust those who glow about things as they are in to deceptive modes through out many of these sites.

So..

They called me relentlessly to get my $100. They promised the moon, but just to get back notification that my resume review was complete, which was supposed to be 24 hours, I had to wait 6 days, several phone calls and an angry email. I am still waiting to actually talk to someone about it after two weeks and VM twice a day every day with no response. They just rip you off of your cash, and it's a double edged sword for anyone who is unemployed and desperate to find work/income. The over promised and underdeliver. Check the other online reviews they really suck and should just close their doors.

Simply - a rip-off. Lured in like many others then can't figure out how to terminate easily and kept getting card charges after I thought it was terminated only to find out that I hadn't followed the complete procedures, with no credit for past billings after the (alleged termination). A ruse designed to prey on job hunters. Also no help at all when I did have the account. Save your time and money

I signed up for two months of this through a Groupon clone. The service was essentially useless, although they did make a good effort to do the initial site walkthrough on the phone as well as a followup on my resume review. This site does not offer anything that any other site doesn't, and the competition's free. The one thing I did use was the free resume review, which was fishy since it came back less than 5 minutes after being submitted. It didn't tell me much I didn't already know, either, and ended with a sales pitch for a $700 resume authoring service. You'd think they'd tell their people (or create a workflow) to wait an hour; the 5-minute response time killed any credibility the review might have had.

After cancelling my subscription, was billed again. Called customer service who referred me to another 800 number, which goes to someone's voicemail. Cannot get any other information from the website - each click on Contact Us, About Us, and Feedback returns me to my account page.

Eon from Climber *******319) called me. After listening to his pitch and going through it in some detail, I advised him that I would think about it and call him back. I really wanted to do some investigation of this company before giving them any of my money. He refused to accept my request for his callback number. Instead, he hung up on me saying, "Stop wasting my time." Unfortunately, this sales rep is a reflection of the company. I was sincerely interested in joining, but after this exchange, I am no longer interested. Too bad.

I received a phone call from a Climber representative, they pull your data from Their site when you submit your resume for review. At the beginning he seemed to be interested and willing to help, until they ask me to give him my credit card info to register in the website, which I did not agreed, instead we agreed he will text me and I will respond to his text confirming that I have registered. So that he can call me back and guide me through the process of improving my resume.
I did registered the same day in the evening and then sent him a text to confirm, he replied back agreeing to call me the next day. 10 days after no one has called me. So this was a waste of time, I did sent an email to their customer service, I hope they honor their 30 days Money back guarantee policy since no one has even emailed me for a job and neither them called me for support.

Worst User experience ever, worst customer service, and total scam, They take your money, no refunds, no satisfaction guarantee, and worst off, they charge you monthly with no transparency of terms. This is THE WORST means to get recruited. There are great recruiters and websites. Don't waste you time and money. As it is, the FTC should shut them down. Disgrace of a company

After 6 months of use I decided that Climber.com wasn't getting me any attention and, frankly, I don't think I thought well of it enough to use it every day.

I have no way to see whether the recruiter information was current or valid. I received no follow ups from anyone I contacted.

The final straw was the resume critique - uninformed and terrible. I had my resume reviewed by paid professionals and climber's folks started by saying it lacked sizzle and needed a total re-write. Probably standard language. Not appealing and not reliable

There are other sites that I gravitate to.

Climber has a long way to go. It's not only about the ease of use; it's about the success. I had none.

Everything is a loss at this point with Climber.com. They took $400 to write a professional resume for me three weeks ago and I still have no product to show for it. Instead, I continue to receive requests for more and more information on achievements and possible jobs that I am seeking to apply to. In essence, they are trying to get you to write the resume for them.

My suggestion to all of you is to find a free resume writer application on line, I am getting plenty of requests for interviews from the one I used.

Climber.com Deceptive marketing and business practices. Do not stand behind their services and\or products
I feel totally scammed out of $599 by this company. Don't fall for their deceptive advertising.
During a phone call conversation the Climber customer service agent made no distinction or made no attempt to disclose or confirm acknowledgment of the package contract nor that the Climber's 30 day satisfaction guarantee would not apply to this package.
It was during my initial phone call the Climber agent accepted terms of the two contracts as follows without my consent or knowledge.
Only after activation of my account could I discover that their job search functionality offered nothing exclusive and did not provide access to Hiring Managers that they claimed.
Climber refused several refund requests stating I acknowledged the terms of the contract which is not true.
RUN, RUN, RUN away! Do not do business with this company. Total SCAM!

I also had a great experience with Climber. I was hired in about a month. I had zero luck with other sites like Monster, CareerBuilder, etc. I don't know, but I think the major sites are just so saturated it's kinda of a long shot unless in a very specific field. It also helps to have a very polished, professional resume. You may to spend money to get it, but I truly believe it helps.

I would leave a lower rating if I could. First of all the site uses job search engines that I already had free access to JuJu/indeed. Secondly, the ergonomics of navigating the dashboard, profile and resumes are horrible.

Just don't use it. (emphasis on the period!)

Total Scam! I was stupid to buy complete package for $800 that included cover letter and resume writing and 6 months of recruitment. I was told that they will work on my resume and cover letter to my satisfaction, but later on they told me what they wrote is good (their first draft of writing). They don't receive calls, they don't call back. There is no help. It is a scam website. During my first month, I realized that I should cancel my subscription, I called million times to cancel and left messages, but no one ever replied to my calls. I wasted all that $800 dollars. And now after 6 months, they started charging my account for $39.99... Now I have been trying to call them to get a refund for at least $39.99, but I am sure no one will return the call as before. I am so STUCK and MAD.

I do not have much experience with the website. However, the call I received was from Francesca and she was very rude. Why would I want to use their service when the person representing them is not acting professional?

I am in the job market. I was getting emails from Climber, which were not specific for my field. I received a phone call from "Ian" at climber. The call seemed like a sales pitch but that was to be expected. However, I wanted to think about it and not commit to $39 a month or $99 for 3 months until I did a little more research on the company. That's when the sales pitch got more aggressive. I simply stated that I wasn't going to commit now and that I would do my homework and decide. After having to say this 3 or 4 times, "Ian" said something about wasting his time and hung up on me.

Obviously a scam, though it appears like a ligit employment recruiting website. However, once they get your credit card number good luck getting anything out of them, especially a refund or cancellation of your subscription!

My company has used the services of Climber to find new employees and we have had success. I can't speak to job seekers, but I can speak for firms that are hiring and Climber has delivered talented candidates.

Scam! Beware of this service! They target Executives and usually use the word FREE to attract customers. Nothing free with them. They also claim that money back if canceled in 30 days. Well, only if you fax or "post office" mail them a cancellation note to them. Here is the catch. If you canceled the service online before getting the fax number or request form... you are in trouble. I can't get my money.

Please do not waste your time with this organization, I paid for a resume re-write in the amount of 699.00 USD. After waiting two days, I called their Office in San Diego, I got an answering machine without the benefit of leaving a message. I called their online team and finally spoke to someone, they refused to refund my money for services NOT rendered. VERY UN-Professional, client satisfaction is NOT their primary goal please do not waste your money!. There are professional organizations out there that offer real help.

Worthless. The "analyst" even knew me personally... and she still blew off my phone interview and wouldn't return my two phone calls. Absolutely a waste of money and time. I'm just glad I was connected through Groupon and not my credit card.

The service is terrible if you need help the website provides one number that is useful only if you don't desire to cancel, you have to find the actual customer service number if you want to cancel.

Despite a monthly fee, if cancel they keep your money. Customers that have a monthly plan should be refunded when they cancel services. Even membership organizations refund the balance on a customer's account. Most assistance is additional. Someone should contact customers first to get an idea of what they are looking for, rather than just reviewing a resume.

This was a complete waste of money.

I just called Climber.com to request that they remove my record from their database. They refused. I can unsubscribe from email, and they will mark their record to not call me, but they will NOT delete the record from their database. Moreover, the guy hung up on me while I was being very calm and patient about it. He would not address my request to delete the record. Do NOT use these people because they only pound you with email and phone calls to sell services related to job hunting for their income.
