I ordered a clock and received the wrong one. Emailed numerous times and no answer. Finally spoke to a guy named Javier who acknowledged the error and said he would contact the shipping department and tell them to ship the correct clock to me. Javier actually gave me his personal cell phone number in case I had a problem. Two weeks went by and no clock. Called Javier again and the call went immediately to voice mail. Kept trying to call this number for over two weeks and finally connected with Javier. He once again said he would have the shipping department send me the correct clock. Two more weeks and no clock. Same story when trying to contact Javier. This clock was purchased for a parochial school. The clock cost $53.00. I plan to contact the California BBC and any other rating website to leave an unfavorable review.
I tried multiple times to speak to and/or email with customer service at this place and they refused to accept phone calls or reply to emails about a product that was destroyed because of shipping (Fedex). Their product was delivered and placed behind our garaged vehicle wheels without notification to us (we were home when it was delivered) and when we left home, it was obviously crushed. They refuse to answer my calls and emails to even let me file a claim with Fedex.
I wish I had read these reviews before ordering from them. They sent the wrong movement. They asked for pictures which I sent to confirm and they said the correct item was sent although the pictures clearly proved otherwise then nothing. No responses to my emails and they do not accept phone calls.
The battery motor I received is now working in my clock. However, the hands I had did not work with the motor and so I ordered hands from Clock Parts and they arrived promptly but were too big. Even though they could be cut down, they were still too big. I couldn't find a phone number for the company so sent two emails. They do not answer. I finally found the perfect hands to work with the motor on Amazon and got the clock working. The hands I purchased on Amazon were also half the price of the ones on Clock parts that were put in the trash. Poor customer service and no refunds.
Gave measurements and they sent wrong part. Sent info to them and they responded slowly. Sent info they requested and they never have responded. You needed to find another supplier. Don't do business with Clockparts
I found the videos on their website helpful in choosing which parts I needed, but right after I pressed "checkout" I noticed the "All Sales Final" dialogue on the side. Then I noticed they charged me $10.95 to ship a small quartz movement that must only weigh an ounce or two. Shipping is via USPS so the cost to ship is mostly inflated profit for the merchant.
I tried to contact them but there is no response.
It seems a very poor way to run a business. I wish I had shopped somewhere else.
I bought a "made in USA " electric motor that was priced higher than the competition. I wanted to do my part for USA manufacturers. Well it did not work. In fact nothing happened no movement of any kind. So I emailed. No response SO I emailed again. No response. And a third time. Same story. So I called the 800 number and the recording says to email them and they will get back to you i a few hours.
Well several days of this and reported it to my credit card company. And hope I can get some resolution through them.
AVOID THIS COMPANY
We found what we thought was the perfect clock, electrical with a back-up battery and auto-time changer. We ordered it, but that is NOT what we got. We notified the company by email, because there is no other way to contact them (which should have been our first clue) and they sent us another clock, instructing us to not return the first clock yet. Upon receiving the 2nd clock, it was the identical erroneous model as the first clock, only in different colors. We again emailed the company and they advised that their shipping department would send us shipping label. We never got it, nor have we heard a word back from the company. So here we sit with TWO $5 cheap plastic clocks, one of which was broken when we received it and having to pursue this dishonest company by other means to get our $73 back!
BEWARE! Their products are super cheap, not what they advertise, and can't even hold up to shipping! Unable to show picture of 2nd clock with the second-hand broken off because we've already packed both clocks in their boxes. VERY CHEAP PRODUCTS.
I had initially provided a negative review based on first shipment of the parts. However, I notified clockworks.com about my review and they immediately responded... on a holiday (1/1/21). They shipped out a couple of replacement parts for the parts I mentioned would not work and added a free hangar component.
Overall, they were very responsive, communicated multiple times to keep me in the loop and shipped the replacement parts for free. Thanks for a great followup experience!
I replaced a very simple clock mechanism on a ceramic disk we got overseas. I got the mechanism to work with the following issues:
The mechanism I ordered had the following issues:
1. There is no hangar included in the standard clock kit... the picture I looked at when ordering had a hangar. None included and no indicator of which hangar type will work with the mechanism ordered (in looking at it in hindsight on the website... my existing hangar is of a different type than the mechanism I got!)
2. The main nut supplied in the hardware pack is cross-threaded. Fortunately I could use the nut off of the old mechanism. Worked fine but the nut included is crap.
3. The closed cap nut (goes on the end of the clock hands to give a finished look) is also cross threaded! I could not get it to go onto the end of the mechanism. They provide a "ring nut" which also fits the end of the clock mechanism. This immediately screwed on without issue *BUT* it leaves the mechanism's shaft exposed on the face of the clock and looks unfinished!
4. The plastic fittings for the hands are super cheap and it's up to the user to bend the hands in such a way that the hands don't cross each other after mounting (e.g. The minute hand falls lower than the hour hand and will drag the hour hand along with it!). This is one reason the nut in #3 is so important... it does help the hands stay apart but it is not the only solution and, as mentioned, this is not indicated in the directions at all... speaking of directions...
5. No assembly instructions were included in the packaging. Found them on the website but they are unclear on the last step because they are generic to all mechanisms of this type. They should have one set of directions for hour/minute hand only and one set of directions to install a sweep hand (for seconds). This is specific to the movement so you need to look carefully at the website to get the right instructions: https://www.clockparts.com/info/inst/miniMovements.jpg
6. Have to agree with other reviewers - shipping charge is *ridiculous* (USD 10.47 as of this writing on 1/1/2021)
I unfortunately dealt with Clock Parts for replacement mechanism for my Howard Miller clock. I watched the video, and took measurements as directed. I tried calling the company to make sure there were no additional issues, however the answering machine message only told me to look at the video. The clock parts came and unlike what was suggested in their promo material the parts were clearly stamped Meade in China. If I wanted Chinese parts I would have ordered off of Amazon at 1/4 the price. In any event I installed the parts only to find out that the hand from my original clock were not compatible with the movement I was shipped. I then tried to return the parts, and was told they don't accept returns for non defective parts, but in my case they would accept the return with a 20% restocking fee. I had to mail the parts back with a a restocking number on the outside of the package, and a USPS tracking number. I was required to e mail them when the parts arrived at their facility. All this was done, and as I look at my credit card statement today, 30 days after the parts arrived at their facility I did not receive the promised credit. I have since voided the charge on my credit card, but I can say without hesitation this is the WORST company I have EVER dealt with. Do not under any circumstances order from these people!
Answer: It is A SCAM, no doubt. There's no refund policy! There's no service! There is NO VALUE! There's no return policy! There's no Customer Service! There's just them, your money, and then nothing! That's it! I don't know how many ways to say that! Nothing! We received nothing from these people!
Answer: Their videos were helpful, and the prices (before shipping) seemed in line with other sites. The shipping is killer though...$10.95 for USPS first class.
Answer: IMPOSSIBLE THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO MULTIPLE EMAILS
