I've used Credit Karma for my money for several years. The first couple years I had no problems, everything posts immediately and my money felt safe. This past year I've had constant problems. I go to a store and my card is declined, despite knowing I have the money there. They flag my account so I call in and confirm, "Yes, this is me and I'm trying to use my card." They "fix it" and it happens the very next time. I've also spent 6 different service calls asking to change my address, since it's 3 addresses behind- amazing how truly impossible this simple task is. Why cant I change it on the app I wonder? Anyways, I call support again and they tell me they will send a new card and it will take up to 14 days...
I don't agree to that until she says that I will still be able to use my old card. It sure isn't going to work to wait two weeks for my money that I tried to use, needed to use yesterday and today. So I request the new card and then she tells me oh, you've gotta hook up Venmo or I-Pay or something like that so you can still use your card... None of these options work for me and I feel like I was just bamboozled into agreeing to something that I was very clear went against my needs and wishes. She was unable to connect me to anyone better able to serve me. All these experiences add up to my money isn't safe, I can't even use it! Based on how difficult it is to get to a person, how little they are able to do, and the complete lack of options beyond that I'm forced to deduct that Credit Karma as a company does Not care at all about the people using this company - or their hard earned money!
