United Airlines, after some "get lost" kind of replies, received pressure from the Department of Transportation, and a reminder that they had been bailed out with over $9 million of Government money. They seem to have refunded the airfare (over $300) and I will check to see whether my credit-card company got that money. It took a lot of e-mails to make this happen, and I would remind passengers with UA that the tickets they send out on line have unreadable small print about "non-refundable."
