“I don't know why people are saying it's bad...”

Lydia S.
1/19/21

Most of the people saying it's 1-star are just people who hate math and reading, which is understandable... but would you rather do IXLMath where it does NO explaining, NO help, just "you got this wrong and I'm not gonna tell you why."? I thought not. You can get coins from lessons to play games, and it gives you a break in the middle of tests. They explain your incorrect answers, and it adapts to your level of reading/math. It's not really as bad as people are saying it is!

Bored of torturing your student through the good old fashioned way? No worries because I ready is the most modern and innovative way to kill your student's last brain cells! An amazing gift for teacher's day!

Honestly, let's make this quick. SERIOUSLY I GET 2 QUESTIONS WRONG AND I FAIL! It's a website of stress, takes up most of our life, like school, get ready for this: WE HAVE TO DO IT ON THE WEEKEND! I explained to my teacher the weekend is meant to be a break from school, and have fun. He said, " i ready is good, and it gives more work which is excellent." WE ALREADY HAVE HOMEWORK, AND NOW IREADY! BAN IREADY! BAN IREADY! BAN IREADY!

I-ready is something that kids are not all about. When I don't finish an I-ready lesson teachers get mad. Its not my fault that I-ready takes forever. This is not helping others focus this is so annoying to me an others. When teachers say that they are working on I-ready for their work the kids say "no this is so boring" The kids really hate I-ready and I do to, I cant with I-ready anymore this makes students feel dumb if they don't get and iready lesson right. This whole iready thing is so stupid and I don't like this website again makes students feel stupid and wont help them get stuff because of how confusing that this whole thing is. I hate this website so much and its really not helping all the others and all this is doing is that its making kids forget what they learned about, this is really confusing to others and me, all these problems when there trying to help is not close to being helpful to others. THEY NEED TO MAKE A DIFFRENT WEBSITE AND TAKE IREADY DOWN.

I-ready is the worst program anyone could do. Last year in 8th grade, I remember doing i-ready for math and ela and it got on my freakin nerves. It takes about 5 hours just to complete ONE lesson and the ratings are terrible. I HATE the animations and I HATE doing the lessons because it makes you feel like a one year old. Not only that, but if you get ONE question wrong, just ONE, it will lecture you for about 10 minutes and you can't even move on. Everyone at my school talks about how bad it is. Not only that, one time I had to do an i-ready lesson that had FOUR parts and i failed the test and i had to start all over again from the BEGINNING! Diagnostic SUCKS and it GLITCHES. If you pause the i-ready to go to the bathroom, this Dang Machine got the nerve to say "Are you there?" and then logs you out afterwards. I hate their characters, they blink only once for every sentence, and if you get a question right, they give you a whole freakin 30 min. Lecture about how you got it right. I hate i-ready and I don't recommend this piece of crap. It makes me very agitated and I feel like going through the screen itself and strangling every single horrible anime character in that Program. Here's the warning: I-ready will want to make you DIE!

So, if any of my teachers are reading this... I'm sorry, I HATE I-Ready. It is boring, the audio is really bad, the animation is bad and it is VERY CRINGY. The audio sounds like a cheap baby toy that plays music, and it also hurts my ears so much that I just plug my earbuds in and take then out of my ears. I can't believe that I have to to I-Ready for 30+ minutes EVERY WEEK OF MY LIFE. ST Math is better than this. The only redeeming quality's are the character designs and a mini-game where you stack cats on top of each other. My LEAST FAVORITE CHARACTER is the detective penguin, I hate his catchphrase, it haunts my dreams. Also, my parents hate it because its confusing and I showed them the audio quality one day and they said "I'm sorry you have to do I-Ready". Also, I am on a level where there's this baking competition and somebody was GREAT enough to not draw a granola bar on a plate, so instead they photoshopped a image of a granola bar and put it on a image of the plate.

I-Ready doesn't teach you anything and makes students want to destroy their computer because of the amount of frustration you get from it. My teachers made me do this crappy piece of garbage for 4 years. Every time you fail a lesson, you have to do the whole lesson again! Like why can't I just do the quiz again instead of having to do the introduction, the practice, AND the quiz again. But no, They don't care! All they just want to do is to make money out of students and give them stress. Some lessons are hard but really short. However, On the other hand, The lessons that are easy take hours to complete. Oh and Don't get me started with those characters. The characters in I-Ready just talk too much! It's a complete waste of time when you have to listen to them make a joke that isn't funny at all. Sometimes they say stupid things like "Bake Stars" or something like that. Like what am I, 4 years old? I have to wait 30 seconds for them to say what they have to say and oh boy, do I hate waiting. They're annoying, and all around just a waste of your time. One time I even saw a review of this app saying that someone's son fainted while doing a I-Ready Reading lesson. I feel bad from all the students being tortured by I-Ready. I mean, The government could literally use this app to torture someone. I also saw another Review saying that He got a virus on his computer for getting I-Ready. The review said that the computer forced him to do I-Ready. He also was asked by his computer if he wanted to do I-Ready. He had 2 choices. The choices both said yes. So I don't think you should get this app at all. I am currently making this review in 2022. So if any teachers from the future see this review, I'm warning you guys, Don't make your students do I-Ready. You'll Regret.

Tip for consumers:
Don't get this app. You'll regret it.

Iready on a baseline principle is good. But in actuality is extremely bad. I will mostly be talking about the my path but before that i want to talk about the learning games. The learning games are the only thing witch kept this review from a one star but just barely. The learning games are fun ( pizza and no other ones) if you are 5th grade or below. But for 6th grade onwords get repedditive realy quickly.( i am in 6th grade if you were wondering). Now to talk about the my path. The iready my path is a pice of hot garbage. It has little to no actual educatinal value and moreover is just REALY BOREING. I would rather watch a documentry on trees then this f*** pice of s***. The lessons are long and drag on forever. Also when you are agsined 2 hours of iready a week it gets dergading. The iready lessons are either realy boreing ore painfuly easy. So tldr iready sucks

Hi, my name is Devon. I'm in ninth grade, and like you, I had to take the diagnostic. The results of the diagnostic decide what lessons you get. The diagnostic shows what you know and what you need to work on. I remember the last diagnostic I took. It was hard. The diagnostic will feel challenging. You may see questions you may not know the answer to because you haven't learned them. There were some questions I new, and some questions I didn't know. But I didn't give up. I tried my best and moved on. When I finished, I got lessons that were right for me. The diagnostic is not a typical test. Not all students will see the same questions. Every student should expect to get around half the questions correct. That's okay. Some of my friends rushed, and got lessons that weren't right for them. They asked me what I did. Here are 5 things I shared with them: One: I didn't give up. Two: Some of the questions may seem tricky, but I made sure to read the whole question. Three: Some of the questions I didn't know the answer to. After thinking hard and working the problem out on a piece of paper, I took my best guess. Four: before I hit the "done" button, I checked my answer and made sure it was right. I changed a few of my answers that way. Five: I took my time. Once, I finished really fast, but then I got put in lessons that weren't right for me. Warning: some students rush through and guess without reading the choices. If you do this, you may get lessons that are too easy for you and will be a waste of your time. You may even have to take it again. You might want to give up or rush. Don't! Try your best, and you'll get the right lessons for you.
