This helmet was a steel. I love the quality components like metal fasteners. It is a little snug but even with my speakers installed it's not unbearable. I love all the vents because it gives adequate air flow for my hot head. It does increase noise but that's too be expected. Great and easy chin strap. The only thing I don't like is the challenge to open the visor. I like to ride with just the tinted visor unless going over 60.

Having an older phone means it's less likely to walk in to the store and finding a case for the specific phone model. Thankfully, warehouses are a thing, and Cycle Gear allows for delivery to the store! Got an email once the order was sent out from the warehouse, and another when it was delivered to the store. I ordered a set of progressive shocks that were discounted because they were "slightly blemished." The rubber inserts were dry rotted and completely cracked thru to the point that they could not be installed. It was obvious they had been installed and had a quite a bit of milage on them. When I called to return them I explained all that to the rep and he said that's what slightly blemished means. Really?

I purchased a set of hard side cases for my bike, they were advertised as open box, but as new, so I suspected they were a display model that was being taken down. They didn't show up and the tracking information was very vague. They didn't seem to move at all. I called customer service and they believed they were lost and refunded my money. A couple weeks later they showed up, but someone had just thrown them in a box with no packing material and they were damaged (scratched and scuffed up). I called customer service again and sent them some pictures and they sold them to me at a considerable discount. I kept them and I will use them, but I will most likely have to paint them to make them look nice.

My only wish is that there was more selection in the stores. I wear half or 3/4 helmets and selection in store is pretty limited. Was able to try on the brand to confirm shape but had to go online for the style and hope that the fit would be similar. Thankful it was!

I ordered two tires. The shipping from time of order to the Modesto store was very quick, I believe only two days and the I picked them up in store. Nothing against CycleGear, but one of the tires wasn't as new as I would have hoped. The rear was made in early 2024 the front was early 2023, not an issue at all. Got both mounted and they look and perform great on the bike.
