I wanted an Oxford Montreal 4.0 jacket but was uncertain about the sizing. I went to a local Cycle Gear store and tried on similar (European sized) jackets and based my online order on that. Worked just fine. Very satisfied with the jacket, the service and the delivery.
The quality of these pants looks great! Based on the reviews of the woman's H2O, i sized up from a 32 to 34. I could not get them past my thighs. I am 5 6 1/2 150 pounds. I wear a solid size 10. My dirtbike gear and adventure gear all is 32. You are limited on how much you can open up the waist to get over your thighs and glutes because there is a gusset from one side to the other. I have an athletic build so im not proportionally large on the thighs. They are a very heavy pant, so I can't see how they would be cool enough in the summer. We could not find a vent in the back of the thigh for the air to flow thru. Again the quality is good.
Ordered, received, good products, no shipping damage, returns to store no problem. Overall I am happy with the whole process.
I ordered the wrong part, I quickly emailed them to have it corrected, But after I read their order/shipping information, I saw that once you order they can't change it, and they explain why and it made total sense. Funny thing is as soon as I sent off email, I saw my order was already being shipped, they are fast to get it shipped to you, they don't f around, so that's cool, no issues with that.
Because they had what I needed and I've used them before.

Ordering was easy, shipping was quick. I ordered a front and a rear tires for my motorcycle, however, one tire couldn't be shipped to the store, but the other could? I live only a few miles from their store, so I don't understand.

CG says they sell all these different helmets, but in reality, they sell only a couple brands. Sedeci, Bilt, Shoei, Arai. If you want something like an AGV or HJC...it has to be mail ordered.
That wouldn't be so bad, except it takes a week to ship out of the warehouse. I can get one quicker from Europe than Arizona or Nevada.
So I got my order...but things could've been better.
Because I can return the products with no issues, even to ordering several sizes of the same item, knowing I'm only going to keep one.

I ordered a riding jacket and it got sent to the wrong address and all it took was a call and the issue was fixed. It was super easy and not nearly as much of a pain as I thought it was going to be originally.

Had my tires shipped to the store with the intent to have Cycle gear install them. When they came in, I called the store to make an appointment and they said they don't take appointments you have to bring the wheel in and wait 48hrs to get it back. Even if you did the installation free that would suck! I wasted my time and gas to drive up there and pick up the tire when I could of just had it delivered to my house. Again that sucks, no one wants to lose that much riding time.

Some items I had ordered were not available, Cycle Gear Customer Support contacted me of situation, apologised and gave me a refund and some extra credit for my troubles. That's how business should be run.

I ordered a tire took three days still couldn't get it mounted needless to say not happy went to the guy down the street. He mounted it less than five minutes. I have no idea what was going on. It's not they weren't trying. It's just that they weren't succeeding.

Was great until I tried to check out. I hit the continue button and nothing happened - no reason why it did not go thru. The screen went blank and I entered in all the information again and then it went thru. The Chat bot was useless. Get a real person

I needed a Pinlock visor to stop my visor from fogging at stop lights etc. It was easy to get the Pinlock visor for my helmet and my fogging issues are gone. Even with 90 to 100% humidity, no fog. Love the Pinlock system.
I have two local stores nearby if I ever need to go try something on.
My research led me to the Pinlock system. I've been looking to upgrade my helmet that didn't come with a Pinlock ready visor. This was a less expensive way to verify the Pinlock system would work for my fogging issues. Eventually I'll splurge and get the Aria I really want.

I received my order of the TCX boots very promptly and got notifications along the way regarding shipping. The boots are better than expected. Very comfortable and even darker leather, which I like.
Cycle Gear was one of the only US companies that sold the TCX boots at a fair price and had good reviews regarding service.
I chose the TCX boots more for style and casual wear than riding, although, I do ride and will use them for that purpose as well. The fact that they can be resoled because of the storm welt construction was the major selling point for me. I try not to buy any boots that have glue-on or vulcanized soles.

I bought the Bilt techno 2 womens jacket. I was on the wait-list for it to come back in stock. When it did, I bought it pretty quickly. It shipped fast and was a great price! It's one of my favorite jackets!

I ordered a new tire to be sent to San Jose, Ca store, tire arrived on time but the store employees could not take my wheel to put the new tire on because they don't do tire changes there. They told me I would have to come back between 9am and 5pm and have a shop in back of store that is not Cycle Gear do the service. This is inconvenient and I have had to fix several bikes of friends that had their bikes worked on by that shop. From now on I will have my tires shipped to the Gilroy store and do the drive or have a friend drop off my wheel for me.
I have bin getting parts and gear from them since the 1980s when they were located on Monterey Rd. And they have good prices on street bike tires.
I had the Dunlop GPR300 before and was a great tire at a great price. Got 8000 out of rear and works good in the rain.

This has been a very unpleasant experience shopping. Here I bought a set of motorcycle slip on pipes and a removable shield. Within two hours of placing my order I called into cancel it. My bike purchase fell through. It is going to take roughly 3 weeks before I get my money back. They do not cancel items unless you call literally within five minutes of placing an order. I had to wait two business days for the items to ship and literally just returned one today. When you call Customer Service, they do not give a crap and tell you they know their system needs to be updated, but it is what it is therefore, I personally will not buy anything else from this company. Good luck to everybody.
I spoke with multiple agents about my disappointment with the fact that you cannot cancel a purchase two hours after making it they did not care. I was told they understand but this is the system that they are working with. Meanwhile, it’s been two weeks and I still don’t even have one of my refunds yet this is why I will never buy anything from this company again

Starting off, I'm guessing my complaint rests with the fast shipping logistics used by this company. I'm sure most of the time it works out in a net positive, but in my experience I tried to cancel my order within about an hour after placing it... But was told cancellation was not possible and I would have to return it once it arrived. I can't imagine shipping a tire is overly cheap and I'm sure this is not the most efficient way to do this. Even still, customer service was friendly and the return process at my local cycle gear was easy once I finally made it there.

Customer service personnel were friendly and communicated clearly which was nice, but it seems like shipping a product instead of cancelling the order can not be the most cost effective way to run a company
