I wanted an Oxford Montreal 4.0 jacket but was uncertain about the sizing. I went to a local Cycle Gear store and tried on similar (European sized) jackets and based my online order on that. Worked just fine. Very satisfied with the jacket, the service and the delivery.
The quality of these pants looks great! Based on the reviews of the woman's H2O, i sized up from a 32 to 34. I could not get them past my thighs. I am 5 6 1/2 150 pounds. I wear a solid size 10. My dirtbike gear and adventure gear all is 32. You are limited on how much you can open up the waist to get over your thighs and glutes because there is a gusset from one side to the other. I have an athletic build so im not proportionally large on the thighs. They are a very heavy pant, so I can't see how they would be cool enough in the summer. We could not find a vent in the back of the thigh for the air to flow thru. Again the quality is good.
I recently purchased a pair of Leatt 3DF 5.0 shorts to complete my travel gear. I'm somewhat a minimalist when it comes to gear. The 5.0 shorts are well made (although not tested yet), light, and I can't even feel that I'm wearing them. That's a sing of comfort. The padding is located on the hip, quad area and tailbone. I wear size 32" on most of my pants and order the Leatt in size 32" and they feel perfect. I've done a few long...ish rides (San Diego, CA to Las Vegas, NA) and they felt great. All in all, these are great shorts for anyone riding ADV bikes and/or Enduro. I highly recommend them and would buy again. Thanks.
Cycle Gear offers a very large selection of products, but most importantly to me is the customer service CG offers. I also get a 10% off for military discount, it's not much but anything helps.
The Leatt 5.0 has great reviews and it's reasonable priced. I also wanted something that was well made and provided good protection. The Leatt checked all the boxes.

I ordered a pair of Alpinestars Tech-7 boots to boost my ADV motorcycle riding this Fall/Winter. I normally wear a size 10 on most shoes (Nike, NB, Danners, etc.) and the boots fit just right. The tech 7's fit very well with my wide feet and large calves. They seem very tough build and definitely provide a sense of security when riding. On the flip side, they tend to get a bit hot, if riding in hot weather. I'll do a follow up review after the fall/winter season.
Customer service is the number one reason I buy at cycle gear. I like the return policy and competitive prices as well.
I chose Alpinestars because of their reviews by other riders. This is my second pair of boots from this company and so far they’ve been excellent.

Once again it took a week to get something promised at 2 day shipping. There was no information via tracking site(s).
So I asked multiple times via customer service page but didn't get any response until AFTER the already-late item arrived. The you give me store credit? What the actual f*... You're apology is just to lock me into your crappy service further?
I'm tired of hearing promises of two day shipping. It's a fng lie. There is always an excuse. Yes, this is a very "first world" problem but you're the ones breaking promises. Zero reason to trust cycle gear.
Also, you start with prices higher than anywhere else. Most times you have a excuse to not price match.
But even if you do, why should I bother? It takes DAYS to get a response and I can already have the better priced product delivered by the time you even get your act together to price match. Then I'd just have to wait on your excuses and slow shipping...
CG brick and mortar are nice but understocked.
CG web is OK for browsing but at this point I go elsewhere unless I "have" to buy from you.
Sent multiple inquiries, it took days to get response. None of the context (E. G. My complaint) was included in the response.

Shipping speed is unreliable - even as a "RPM" member. To ACTUALLY get 2-day shipping we still have to pay more. This BS about business-days-only counting is misleading.
Streamline in-store returns and pickup, as an option in the interface. This would probably save overall shipping costs as CG could bulk/freight ship returns or even restock into stores for items returned in perfect condition.
By now you have lots of data about what sizes i've purchased, and KEPT, so you sh/could suggest how items may fit me and recommend sizes.
Only place in-US with boots in size i was looking for, sunk-cost of rpm membership. "devil you know"

Two different times I ordered online. Once to have it drop shipped to my house and once to the store. Both times I had problems with my order. The first time they canceled my order and didn't tell me. I only found out because I called them. The second time, it took twice as long as they said it would take and I had to make four phone calls before I finally got my order. The guy helping me was very courteous and as helpful as he could be, but it still didn't get resolved until I threatened to cancel my order.

After putting in my current address on cycle gear website and finding out PayPal issued old incorrect address I immediately contacted cycle gear and was promised and told to be rest assured they would intercept my $1000 item. After zero notification from cycle gear letting me know they actually did not intercept my package was left at the door of old address! I was simply told by cycle gear after the fact " we failed to intercept and there is nothing they can or are willing to do" I was certain my pkg would be stolen soo I rushed driving erratically to get to that address. I was fortunate enough to see the pkg at that door soo I got it but I swear I aged by 5yrs from the stress of the situation. Ultimately it was PayPal's initial damage However cycle gear is particularly disingenuous about there help and or service! Just wasn't helpful at all. I will never order from this company again!

My 1994 Goldwing was in storage for 7 years and I finally got it out to repair and upgrade to start riding again. I took the front and rear wheels off and brought it to Cycle Gear in Lawrenceville, GA for a new set. They were extremely helpful in suggesting the best tire for my ride and were great at mounting and balancing the wheels.
