It's tough to shop for clothing on the internet since one can never be sure how well things will fit. Other than that, purchasing was easy and fast and the jacket arrived very quickly with no issues related to shipping.
Was told I'd get a call the day the fuel line I ordered came in. I didn't hear anything for a week so I tracked it- it had been delivered to the store 5 days ago. I call the store and when they found it they said " it's here, was just delivered." I asked why I never got a call since FedEx tracking showed it delivered 5 days earlier. I was told "FedEx does that a lot, they mark something delivered that hasn't been."
I love cycle gear they have great products and good prices. My issue is I bought a battery for my motorcycle that was lifetime warranty and they offered a cheaper battery that wasn't lifetime but paid extra to have warranty, had it warrantied 1 time no issue. Went to warranty it out again and was told that they no longer have lifetime warranty on batteries and have to pay 5 dollars to now have only a 2 year warranty. So how can something be life time warranty but not really. I really did get my money's worth but how can it be lifetime warranty then. I am a auto technician if my snap on wrench breaks i get a new replacement no matter how many times it breaks. I used to work for a nation wide chain of shops that offered lifetime warranty brakes and mufflers you go to any of their shops and you dont pay for pads or muffler only labor to install as long as you own car. Now if they changed their policy and told people that they no longer have warranty then pretty sure there would be backlash and sued for false advertising.

Purchased a Dianese D-Air jacket from Cycle Gear. Store Manager registered the product and told me, "You're ready to ride". This was completely FALSE. The incompetent manager didn't activate the vest. Although it turned on and gave a "green" status light, it had the shipping/shorting plugs still in it and the wires were never attached to the gas canisters for use as an air-bag vest. I rode 1&1/2 years until I updated the software and it wouldn't go green but flashed a blinking yellow meaning an issue. I took it back and they told me, to take it to Dianese, that they don't have any test equipment. Upon taking to Dianese, the techs' were shocked to find that Cycle Gear never made the vest ready to deliver to the customer (a requirement). They stated, that It had never worked and that for the last 1&1/2 years, would never have activated in a crash. Upon going back to Cycle Gear with this information, the store personnel stated, that they company refuses to train them, provides no equipment, and doesn't care. I am now suing them for gross negligence, incompetence, and putting my life at risk by voiding my purchase and attempt to mitigate serious injury and/or death by purchasing an air-bag system and wearing it religiously on every ride while it didn't work. Cycle Gear didd all this in the name of GREED, and at the expense of their customers' safety and well being. Never buy from Cycle Gear.
