Dick's Sporting Goods in New Jersey no longer sells Hunting equipment.
The salesman I spoke to informed me that earlier this year "everything hunting related was removed from the store." He suggested that I order online, or travel out of state.
Both options are not acceptable.
I would suggest Dick's remove the word "Sporting Goods" from their name and change it to "Sport Clothing", but they don't sell camouflage or hunting orange.

My advise is to never buy anything from them. I feel so sorry for all of the customers who call in.
Most of the people who work there really want to help you, but with the set up that Dick's has, it's nearly impossible.
I have never worked for such a flawed company.
I placed an online, confirmed pick up order (usually ready in under an hour according to their website). After driving to get the it, the item was out of stock. This was met with unapologetic and rude customer service, telling me I would eventually get an email about the order being canceled.
They tell you they value loyalty but in the end it is a one sided loyalty. I guess I will take my business to others now. Worst part is they just ended the live chat, when I asked them a question. That is really bad in my mind. Been doing customer service for a long time myself, would never disregard a customer like that.

My complaint is more about the credit card they represent. Maybe not officially $#*!'s, but the credit card sure says $#*!'s Sporting Goods on it.
My experience with Dicks sporting goods was so bad, it would take an hour to write & read it.

Dicks sporting goods is the worst place to buy equipment for any sport.
This is the return policy of the Mason Ohio location.
Dick's Retail Rep: "If you don't want to wait in line to make a return (there were 100 people deep), you can just leave the item here."
The customer (me): "But I need a reverse of charge on my credit card, how will you do this?"
Dick's Retail Rep: "This is the best we can do."
The customer (me): "Huh?"
<So, I came home and called the Customer Service number listed on their website.>
Phone Rep: "I don't know who you should speak with, and I can't find a name or number for you. I'll connect you with a supervisor in Customer Service."
The customer (me): "Do you have a number to the home office in Pittsburgh?"
Phone rep: "I work in Utah; I don't know. I'll connect you to a supervisor here."
10 minutes later and still on hold, I hung up.
Now I know why the store service is so bad. This is their customer philosophy. Good to know. You won't see me again.
Dick's is one of last sporting goods stores to survive. Maybe because they bought out all their competitors. First it was Galyans, then Sports Authority and who's next? Their prices are very high and their inventory is shrinking. I know this pandemic has caused havoc with supply, but they don't have much and the eliminated hunting dept altogether. I hope Academy Sports hangs in there
I ordered my son some basketball shoes and they came in with the security tag on them! I called customer service and they were very rude! Now I have to drive an hour to the nearest Dicks as the security tag has paint in it and we can't take it off without the machine! I will be glad when Academy Sports comes to Charleston South Carolina!
I literally drove and hour and a half to go shopping. I bought a sweater for my husband. Was going to wrap it for christmas and they left the ink thing on. When I called, the dumbass response I got was bring it back. Or send it through the mail. How about your employees do their job right. Now my husband has a shirt he cant even wear.
They take no responsibility for the products they sell. After 60 days— good luck. Bad design- defective or what ever.
They will do nothing to make it right! Stay away. They sell nothing that you can't buy elsewhere
I just spent over 1,000.00 for a treadmill and went on line to purchase an extended warranty. It took longer to correspond with the online chat person, who did not seem to understand anything I was asking, then it did to research and purchase my product. I never received an answer and still will have to call tomorrow. OMG, I would have never purchased this product from Dick's if I was aware.

I ordered a pair of sneakers online December 24,2023 and once the shoes arrived they didn't even come with a shoe box lid and the shoe box had been cut down in size altered with scissors or something to half of the box original size that it should have been, and both pair of shoes had dirty skid marks underneath the shoe and on the sides of the shoes material was dirty as well as the shoe strings, shame on this company for even sending a paying loyal customer a dirty used pair of shoes and I paid for nothing other than a brand new pair of shoes, I read several reviews about customer's who received used shoes from this store and now it has finally happened to me too. I also once purchased a American flag folding chair and it came with the carry bag, I bought the chair in store and once I got home and took the chair out of it's carry bag and opened out the chair it was completely filthy with dirt stains all over the fabric seat and it had a shoe print on the fabric.

The Pony Express could have delivered my item quicker. I gave this company a shot. Now I know why I never bought so much as a shoelace from their online store. They just don't seem to give a damn about honoring their delivery schedules. I've had an item in California so long you would think the state is under quarantine.

I ordered several items from their website and some packages arrived with the correct items. Others not so much. 1 item got canceled and another is lost somewhere in transit. When I contacted their customer support today about it the lady I recieved to help was just kept acting confused and asking questions that didn't pertain to my order or problem. She tried 0% tp help me and told me someone else would contact me in 2-3 days. Absolutely absurd! I just want a refund now and I don't even want my items anymore. I'll shop somewhere else
Long story short, ordered a treadmill. I have since received 5 delivery dates and it hasn't been delivered on one of them. Call the deli every crew several times, never got back to me. Call dicks, first lady says she can't do anything about it but called the team that could and that they would respond within 24 hours (they did not as you might have guessed). Called the following day after 24 hours, 2nd lady says she is going to talk to a supervisor, puts me on hold, call "drops." Never called back. I call again, this lady finally gets me through to the "escalation team" and she is very short and borderline rude. She FINALLY offers me a refund. She then said "have a good day" *click*

Every time I have ordered from this store I don't receive emails. This has happened once again when I ordered a pickup order today. I signed up for text alerts and all I received was a message asking me to accept their messages no status alert or even a message through text or email that my order was received! I have an account which I use to make purchases and every time I login it says I have no order history! They don't sell anything you can't buy somewhere else and their prices are no better than REI so just go somewhere else. Ironically because of this I have no proof of purchase to even be shown as a verified buyer on this website. AND no order number to track my current order!

They sell things sold everywhere else so if you think you may have an issue and need customer service do not order from them. I called today and the person at the store said he couldn’t even look up my order because they don’t receive pickup orders for a day or two! The phone customer service really sucks and if you don’t have an order number you have to talk to a person but it seems like there’s no one ever there to answer!

I have had to return items before just because they were the wrong size and have never had any issue with returns or the packaging when my orders have arrived.
On several occasions I have taken my email or card I received in the mail for a $10.00 reward and they have not been honored at the store. This seems to be sort of a scam since it has happened several times.

Just went into a Pooler, ga store! Worst customer service ever. Wanted to return something used a debit card and showed her where a purchased the item. She said it is not showing up and she can only give me half the amount? Do not buy Carrie underwood's leggings, not a good fit for woman.
Want to do a class action against D I c k s for fraudulent practices which have resulted in monetary losses to customers, and/or have them charged with Wirefraud. Spent a great deal of time reviewing complaints to find I am not alone at all as one of their online victims of having had order cancelled and not be refunded the money charged for the order. Be looking for a legal notice coming soon in local papers seeking victims to come forth to participate for compensation for your damages.
People are suffering right now as we speak. Losing their homes and running out of food, water, and gas. Humans can't afford gas and your $#*! company will pay for abortion? I ordered a Nike shoes and gym gloves from the online store and NEVER received it even though on website it said it did. I contacted the helpdesk via chat and after so many conversations, still have not received. They said there were gonna reship them and then they forgot to send my shoes. I am so frustrated. I lost my 70 dollars. Please never buy from here.
Beware! I purchase 2 pair of sneakers and one pair came Used. It's Obvious the item was worn. The bottom and sides were dirty, I had to clean with soap and water and disinfect the inside with Lysol... shame on Dicks, buyer beware of my experince, I will no longer buy anything from Dicks Sporting Goods.
