$#*!'s Sporting Goods is a piece of $#*! store. I ordered a boat, it took over a month to never receive it. I was sent four of them and every single one that I received had forklift punctures in it and was unfloatable. So they were put back on to the truck. They don't care that wasted a total of five boats. Wasted shipping charges. Will NEVER deal with $#*!s stores ever again

IMMEDIATELY attempted to cancel the order, upon discovering an $85 shipping charge, when Father's Day special stated free shipping. Only after hours of phone calls and online chats with customer service, did they attempt to cancel the order, at which time it was too late. The order had NOT been processed nor shipped, but they stated it could not be canceled. There was a pending charge on my card.
6/15/2021 received an email with the following:

https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/s/return-policy This policy states that I am NOT eligible to return via a return label, but must return to the store, and I am out the $85 for shipping. Thus, what their representative stated by email was NOT what they were willing to honor.
My offer that I made to them: IF they will refund the $85 shipping charges, I will not return the merchandise. This way they retain the profit from the goods sold.
Should they insist on NOT honoring what they originally stated (free shipping), I will return the item via FedEx, at their expense, for a full refund. This way they will have lost the profit from the sale of the item, as well as being out the shipping costs.
Dick's has rejected my offer, as well as (so far) refused to alloy me to ship the item.
Tip for consumers:
Do NOT order anything online from this vendor, as they will honor their agreements ONLY when it suits them, and they will change the terms of the purchase order as they see fit.
I recently bought a bell bike computer ($19.99) fr Dicks' Sporting Good. I bought on a Sunday early afternoon. After that, I went home and assemble that together with my son to put on his bike. It did not power up. I changed to a different CR2012 battery. Same problem. Clearly it is a DOA. Ok, I got it. So I decide to stop by the store to return or replace it.
On Thursday of the next week, I visited the store. The store associate, however, did not want to return this. He claimed this is a computer like item and it has to be returned to manufacture for a warranty work instead. That is just 4 days after my initial purchase date. Some of the associate understood that and helped me make a case that it is a DOA and it never worked in the first place. I kept being polite and argued that the mechandise is a DOA and the store should take care of it instead of me trying to deal with the manufacturer. It eventually was escalated to the store manager. The Store manager came and said they could not allow me to return it, then they could 'give me a favor' by allowing me to replace it with a equal price or more expensive item. Ok, I eventually replaced it with a new one and I made sure it power up before I left the store.
I had a very good experience with Dicks' Sporting Good in the past. I had a old Sole F80 treadmill bought from them and use for over 12 years and it is still solid. However, this time they really pisses me off. Since when did American retail store refused to take back $#*!ty mechandise and customer had to escalate to get the refund.
Because it eventually allowed me to replace, and some of the associate in the store showed common sense decency to help me fight for it, I gave it a 2 star. Otherwise it is a clear one star case. And I am really sorry to tell Dicks' Sporting Good, since you do not care of my experience, I will bring my business elsewhere instead.

Was nice to see Dick's Sporting a Good open in El Paso. It started out as a two day shopping spree at our favorite sporting goods store.
$1400 on the first day in purchases and then we went back for some other things on Sunday. Then we ran into "Manager" Megan.
I'm not even going to go into detail except to say SHE WAS THE RUDEST PERSON I HAVE ENCOUNTERED IN EL PASO AND THAT IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. MY WIFE AND I COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW WE WERE TREATED! The rest of the staff was so nice, outgoing and all seemed so proud to be a part of Dick's. Up until this weekend, Dick's had been our favorite for years. WE WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THE DICK'S IN EL PASO EVER AGAIN! In fact, we will now discourage everyone we can from shopping there! MEGAN WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO MAKE OUR FAMILY SO UNCOMFORTABLE IN WHAT SHE CALLED "HER STORE".

We went back to give the place a second chance as we have been loyal customers of this company for so many years. We then see this Manager Megan arguing with another customer. My wide asked the woman what happened and she just said how cruel this manager was too her. Our experience was exactly the same. Needless to say the woman left her things in an aisle and walked out. Then Megan goes out of her way to make another comment to us. Like seriously, how can they have someone like this. She came across like she owned the store.
We're do e shopping here on the first weekend they opened. We'll be sure to let everyone we can know about this place and to AVOID IT ALL ALL COSTS!
We entered that store so positive by the wonderful staff and left so miserable because of this Megan manager they have running the place.

What a nightmare! We bought a treadmill from this location three weeks ago and used select express to have it delivered and assembled. We bought the NordicTrack X22i. When checking out the guy said he didn't have this specific treadmill to select for delivery so he had to put in a different treadmill but would put in the notes what we actually bought and had to be delivered. Made enough sense to us so we saw that the description had the name of the correct treadmill in it. That was a huge mistake as you'll read towards the end.
After five promised time slots on five different days for delivery, we are still without it. It's still sitting in the back of the store.
The first four times the excuse from everyone was it was too heavy and they needed more manpower or a bigger forklift to get it delivered.
I called both Dicks and select express to try and get answers but both pointed the finger at the other one.
I then went and physically sat at the store for an hour (this past Tuesday) after the fourth time to get answers. I got the run around and finally had enough so I walked out.
We got a text that night saying it would be delivered the next day (Wednesday) between 1-4.
That time slot came and went with no word from select express. Later that night we got another text saying they had no time slots open that day (why they never showed) or the next (as promised) but the following Saturday (yesterday).
They sent a confirmation email Friday night saying they would be here between the same time slots so we had plenty of time to go grocery shopping. 11am we get a call saying they would be here in 15 min. So we rush to get back home.
They show up and sure enough they had a different treadmill, the one that the guy had to check supposedly.
The funny thing is they complained the first four times it was too heavy but it didn't dawn on them the fifth time when it was light enough for two guys to carry. The story doesn't add up.
Long story short - 5 "attempts" and still no treadmill. We're giving them to Wednesday to fix this or we're returning and going elsewhere.

My 14 year old needed cleats for soccer. So we go to Dick's Sporting Goods at Franklin Mills. So she tries some on and picks the ones she wants. We also pick up a pack of socks, shin guards and a soccer ball. Go up to the register to pay. The cashier scans the bar code and says sorry sir I can't sell you these cleats. I said why not, he went on about a message on the register stating Nike says these cleats cannot be sold yet. I said, so you have merchandise on your sales floor which appears to be available for sale and you can't sell it? He said, Nike says we cannot sell these cleats yet. I ask, then why are they out on the sales floor? He says well sir, someone put them out by mistake. I said, ok, so it's your mistake and I just want to buy the cleats. Still no go. I asked to speak to a manger, and the cashier claimed to be the "Front End Manager." So I ask for the store manager. A guy whose name is only two letters, "JD" appears after the cashier/front end manager calls for him. I ask, JD, why are these cleats on your sales floor and you cannot sell them? I add, aren't you in the business of selling merchandise for a profit? He gives me the same song and dance about Nike says we can't sell these cleats yet. I ask again, then why are they on the sales floor available for sale? I get the same clap trap. So we go round and round for a few minutes and no budge from the guy with two letters as his name, JD. I explain to him that she needs the cleats for soccer tryouts which are early next week. Still nothing. You would think JD, being the mighty store manager that he is, who is able to deny a sale based on what Nike says in a message on his cash register, would've tried to save the sale. He could've said something along the lines of this:
I understand you need the cleats sir, so why don't I take you back to the cleats and see if I can get you another pair that are similar to these.
But no, I didn't get any of that. The guy with two letters for a name, JD, was more interested in winning the argument than making the sale. That just proves that JD is a very poor and inept store manager who doesn't care about his customer's needs or making a sale for the company he works for. JD obviously doesn't understand that sales from customers pay his salary. As stated earlier, along with the cleats I was also going to buy, shin guards, socks and a soccer ball. Looked to me like it was going to be a sale of around $150.00. But the all-powerful store manager JD saw to it that Dick's Sporting Goods would get a big ZERO. Meaning, I didn't buy the cleats, the socks, the shin guards or the soccer ball. I left that stuff right at the register. I must say after my experience today at Dick's, I will NEVER step foot in a Dick's store ever again. I bought her soccer stuff on Amazon.
