I recentttly sent an ECM for a CAT 3126 engine to dieselecmexchange for testing and repair. I was told the unit I sent was not repairable (I believe a blown capacitor and the microprocessor was stuck in a boot loop). The did have another ECM that they could send me, which they supplied. While I did have some questions after getting the unit back (that went unanswered), I was able to get the truck running again. That was my goal and the Canadian price was $2800 vs $8500 at the local Freightliner dealer. While I would have appreciated slightly better support to my questions, the problem was fixed and cheaper than my local option. My experience was positive and I would use their services again in the future. In this day and age there can be a lack of trust in service found on the internet, but my experience was positive, and I only speak for my own experience.
They never sent me a property functioning ecm for my truck. Sent it back once for reprogramming, talked to there customer support multiple times. Used multiple mechanics to verify that the ecm was still the problem. Meanwhile 60 days passed and they were adamant that I could not receive a refund. So basically months of lost income due to the truck being down and back to where I started with a non functioning ecm.
With all thier reviews on their site I decided to buy a ecm for my 05 cat c13.1st one came in with bad processor. Sent it back for 2nd one again no good. Figured 3rd time a charm but nope. Brought to local catipillar mechanic to test and deisel injector cartridge was no good. So after wasting 1700.00 for ecm and 1500.00 worth of labor. I had to buy new ecm from cat. Company excuse was my truck has bad ground. Absolutely bs. Try to get money back and no answers on email or voice-mail. Going to bbb or consumer affairs. Never again with these crooks

SCAM ARTIST! DONT IN ANT WAY PURCHASE THEIR PRODUCT! I am a certified master diesel technician. Factory trained in Cummins, Cat, Mack and other engines. I ordered a Cummins ECM for one of my customers Dodge 6.7. I received their junk product and after installing it the truck would not run. Returned it and after over 50 phone calls I was told I would not received any of my 1295. 00 because I was rude to them. I THOUGHT THAT THE MOTO WAS THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. I wish I could have a face to face conversation with them. They are experts in ripping off people in other states.
Tip for consumers:
NEVER DO ANT BUISNESS WITH THEM .A 100% RIR OFF OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!

NOTHING.THEIR JUNK PRODUCT WAS RETURNED!! NO REFUND WHAT SO EVER!!!
I purchased an ECM repair service from these folks. Sent my ECM in. Received it back, looked like it had been refurbished. Would not hit a lick, The truck still would not start. Run through all the diagnostics necessary proved there was nothing wrong with the truck by borrowing another ECM and installing it on the truck. It started right up.
Everyone's entitled to one mistake. Sent the ECM back, It was returned without any explanation other than the expectation that it is now functional. It was not. Again went through the same steps, ultimately proved the problem was not in or on the truck. Again contacted these folks. Sent the ECM back to them. This time they magically said it couldn't be fixed, and returned it as a core and refused a refund. Sided some 60-day warranty claim verbage which is irrelevant as the unit never functioned from day one.
It is now turned into a legal battle one that I have no doubt I will win.
My advice stay away from these folks at any cost, I was told that that's just the way business was.
Tip for consumers:
These folks would waste your time till they felt it and went on long enough to where they could get out of a refund....

PAID FOR ECM REPAIR, THEY RECEIVED IT AND "REPAIRED," IT SENT IT BACK, AND NOW TRUCK WONT START, PUT SISTER TRUCK ECM ON, TRUCK STARTS JUST FINE, PLUS A FAULT CODE THAT IS ACTIVE WHEN INSTALLED THAT IT DID NOT HAVE WHEN IT LEFT, ALSO, THE DATA PLATE TAG WAS MISSING, BUT WAS CLEARLY AND SECURELY MOUNTED ON THERE WHEN IT LEFT THE SHOP. CALLED FOR OVER 1 WEEK, NO ANSWER, THEYRE NOT A LEGIT BUSINESS.
Tip for consumers:
SEND YOUR ECM, TO A REPUDIABLE REPAIR SHOP, NOT THESE FRAUDS

DONT GET SUCKED INTO THEIR SCAM, RIPPED ME OFF FOR $895.00 PLUS 4 MORE HOURS OF DIAGNOSTIC TIME. THEY ARE FULL OF CRAP, I HAVE 40 YEARS EXPERIENCE WITH DIESEL AND THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED. BEEN FIGHTING WITH THEM SINCE DEC 2021 OVER CUMMIN S ECM THEY SAY THEY REPAIRED, SENT IN AGAIN SAID IT HAS BAD PIN CANT REPAIR, I ASKED FOR REFUND AND NOW HERE WE ARE. REASON GIVEN IS I WENT PAST THEIR 60 IRON CLAD GARRENTEE... MANAGER BRIAN IS NOT WORTH YOUR TROUBLE!
I ordered my computer from them and it came in, I put in the truck and had more check engine codes than I had with the CAT one. They told me to send it back and I even tried to pay for another one to keep from having more down time. They said they would have it in and out in three days. After calling, texting, and emailing it shipped out two weeks later. I put that one in and my engine fan run continuously and had check engine light flashing. Finally got a hold of someone and they said everything should be good. But it wasn`t and I had to send that one back and another couple of weeks go by. I get the third one in and called and said my engine fan is still running all the time they told me to take it to a mechanic that had something to check why the fan was running. Then my accelerator pedal stops working and I take it to CAT and they call and said the computer was flashed wrong and it is bad. I contact Diesel ECM Exchange and tell them I want my money back because their computers are not working and I`m having CAT put one in. They tell me it`s over 60 days and I cannot get any money back. So basically my truck has ran for about two weeks in the past 5 months. What a waste of time and money.
I bought an ECM for a cat 6NZ, first time they send the computer with the wrong programming, unable to communicate with the truck, after I sent it back when they sent it (programmed) for my truck on the first run it lost communication again…cost me 2 tow trucks and a road service a total of $******* plus the extra downtime…. Than when ask for a reimbursement they kept $1000 out of the $2500 that they charged me for a faulty ECM…. But it's ok my attorney will be in touch with this scammers…. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PEOPLE! Ooooh by the way I'm Ramon from RBM Truck-Kings.

I purchased a remanufactured IDM from These guys and the unit was defective. I was pressed for time to get my truck running and thought I was buying a "tested" and reliable IDM. I installed the unit only to discover the entire passenger side wouldn't fire. I ended up buying one from AUTO ZONE WHICH RUNS PERFECTLY. I packed the original unit and sent it back expecting a " refund". They did give me a refund but they have a restocking fee of $190.00. After receiving my so called refund I called them to ask why I didn't receive a full refund, I was then told about the restocking fee. I explained I shouldn't have to pay this because the unit failed and not because I had changed my mind. As far as I'm concerned this company stole $190.00 from me. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!
