Diesel ECM Exchange

They never sent me a property functioning ecm for my truck. Sent it back once for reprogramming, talked to there customer support multiple times. Used multiple mechanics to verify that the ecm was still the problem. Meanwhile 60 days passed and they were adamant that I could not receive a refund. So basically months of lost income due to the truck being down and back to where I started with a non functioning ecm.

I sent my 6.6 Duramax ECU in to be fixed, when they did not contact me I asked for an update. After getting a hold of him, he asked for zip code and name and then said they can't fix it. I said the website says nothing about not fixing and that's when he told me they could send it back but I will pay diagnostics fees, I said that is not mentioned on the website either, and he said it's common sense. After asking how it's common sense, he said they could sell me a new one at $300 above the going rate, yes, I checked. Why would I buy one from a company that has provided zero trust. 0 z
Stars. Oh and try to find a Google review for real, they hide them somehow, not very trustworthy.

Was told 3 times I would get a refund. Each day passed with no refund. Now they tell me no refund will be given, wow. Do not do bissness with them, you reach a call center when and if they choose to answer. Freaking FRAUD
What a scam. Iam a disabled Veteran on a fixed income. And now Iam out 500 bucks. Thanks for the rip off.

Hope people read this before using them, unfortunately I didn't! Exchanged ECM with them, installed in truck and never worked. Had it checked out by a certified CAT dealer and they said the ECM they sent was defective. Sent back for full refund and never heard from them again. Total SCAM!

I'm getting ripped off right now! Read the reviews first. I'm 3 ECM exchanges into this and now they don't respond to phone, text or emails and my truck is still not running. Sound similar to you. Contact NC DOJ consumer complaint division *******942 and the NC BBB Raliegh NC on the google. For me 2K is to much for the trash can. And that's what I got, TRASH from diesel ecm exchange

Took almost 3 weeks, they said mine was bad no proof. Bought a core from them to program it arrived not programmed at all for my truck! So $2000 later and I essentially have a core in my hand that I'll have to bring to dealer and have programmed..

Read carefully because there's many facets to the situation. I sent my pcm in for a rebuild in late January, received it back in a timely manor but the pcm fell short of getting my truck to run. I sent it back in, they had it for another month and a half, and by the time I got it back, I was past the refund policy date of 60 days. The pcm still did not get my truck to run, and they are refusing a refund. I've sent my truck to a mechanic and they said it is 100% a pcm issue. So after 2.5 months of back and forth, and another month at the mechanic due to parts shortages, im out $700 and still have a truck that doesn't run. I wish I could give it 0 stars honestly, 1 star seems a little bit too nice. And just when I thought it wouldn't get worse, I called a few weeks ago and spoke to Brian about a refund, after the claimed 7-10 business days, I still didn't see a deposit in my account. After a quick phone call this morning, Brian denied ever speaking to me about a refund. Bottom line, get your pcm elsewhere.

Shipped Chevy ECM, no communication if they received it. They rarely answer your calls. They supposedly tested and could not fix it. The price jumped to $1600. I requested my money back and they said they would keep $125 and refund my money. NEVER HAVE RECEIVED THE REFUND. THEY ARE SCAMMERS.

These people are thieves! After having my ECM diagnosed as "unrepairable" I asked for it back. I was told there would be a 150$ "diagnostic fee" to which I agreed in order to get my ECM. After receiving the unit back I noticed a 695$ charge to my CC. I reached out to get clarification but was told its for " services rendered". They did nothing but diagnose ECM. Nothing further was purchased. Working on disputing charges right now.and possibly even suing in Raleigh court.

I was robbed of $2800 these folks should be arrested for their criminal activity.
They are selling fake services.

Worst experience I ever had told $395 then surprise they doubled the price because they don't fix anything they clean up old computers and send them back out the door if a place ever deserved a law suit for fraudulent activity it is this one your better to park your truck and not use it then let them take your money and still leave you hanging with a token truck

3 months ago, we called they seemed good, we sent out ECM no call nothing for a month, we called, and they said they ordered the part it needed. Another 2 months go by we get our ECM back in the mail no note nothing clearly nothing has been done with it not even opened so no way they knew what was wrong. Called and asked for our money back, charged us $795.00 credit $495.00 WHAT is the $300 dollars for? Wish I read these reviews first.

Received ecm it caused all sorts of issues with my truck they advised me to return it and when. I did they kept $300 of my money saying it would have worked fine had I done a relearn on the ecm. Yet when I called tech support no one suggested a relearn just to return it. Guy was a jerk and td me I should have know even though the website states clearly plug and play nothing else needed. These guys suck

I did not even want to give this place a 1 star would rather it be 0. $2,149.61 I wish I would have read the reviews. Needed my 3126 Cat ECM fixed place seemed great called and talked to them. Decided to trust them and take the ECM and drop it off. Called for updates all the time it was one excuse after another. Finally got it back 6 months later same issue. "lifetime warranty". So I drove it back to drop it off yet again a lot of push around dropped it off in august to not get it back till February and the ECM yet again would not work no refunds. Had to end up buying another one and wasted $2,149 of my hard earned money to just spend another $3,000 to get a replacement. Could have bought a new one!

I'd give them 0 stars if it was an option. This is a total scam and a fraud. They took my ECM and then would never answer the phone or call me back. They don't even have an option to leave a message. I have no way to get my money back. "Iron clad guarantee" that you're going to get ripped off and they are going to steal your money.

I should have read the reviews prior to placing an order. Suffice to say I was taken by this outfit. I have been waiting for 2 months and thousands of attempts to contact them by phone and email with ZERO response. Same issue other reviews had. They call you back and tell you your ECM is unprogrammable, fooled me into purchasing a fully guaranteed replacement with lifetime warranty, then went completely dark... Expensive lesson learned. Will attempt to pursue legal action, but probably won't be worth time and effort. STAY AWAY from these jokers!

2000$ and they can't send a ecm without a broken clip. Been dealing with them for 6 months and can't get them to replace it. Hung up on me and threatened to blockbmy number. They will be out of business before to long

I live near this place and carried in my cummins ecm. 3 weeks later i hadnt heard anything and i saw some of the reviews on the net, so i went back to get my ecm. They claimed to have diagnosed it. But there were no witness marks on any of the screws and even the dirt in the seams wasnt disturbed. And they charged me $150. This place is the same outfit as Car Computer Specialists. They have a couple of people answering phones and thats it. No repair facility. There are piles of ecms. I could easily see that they just get people to send them units, and either hold them until they can squeeze money out of you or send you back a piece of junk.
There are dozens of these outfits operating all over the country. I considered myself lucky to just learn a 150 dollar lesson. Cummins wants 2500 bux for a new one. I am going to buy a guaranteed used one and get cummins to flash it.
Do your homework before you send anything to anybody.

I was on the hunt for a pretty rare ECM and the usual places I shop did not have any in stock. This place was the only one that actually had one in stock, so I decided to order. After zero follow up and a few days later, I contacted them. They said they now didnt have any in stock but they could repair mine if I sent it in. After getting it back, it had the same issues, not to mention they spray painted it black so I could not tell if they actually opened it up and worked on it. They agreed to a full refund and after 14 days of waiting, I had to go to my credit card company and dispute the transaction. Worst experience ever.

For those who asked about what has transpired, BBB and NCDOJ consumer affairs did nothing. They sent them( ECM) a letter. Response we did nothing wrong. Case closed. Both advise to file Civil Case, but here is the problem you have to file in their venue Wake county Civil Court, Which is $200 filling then the cost of trial attorney and time, travel. Even if you win your still out. This Company or Companies is operating under a minimum of FOUR names under their Cary address. They use another company for billing. Next recourse is sending all the information to FTC federal route. I did advise NCDOJ consumer affairs I am posting website maybe if they get more complaints they will act. (https://ncdoj.gov/file-a-complaint/consumer-complaint/). They have hundreds of complaints on multiple BBB sites for the same scam. Funny the picture is straight from their site and is what they stated does not exist yet they still are in business.

Sent them a Cat 3406 ECM for repair after having it for 3weeks and not hearing from them i called to check on it. Was told it was not repairable and they would be sending it back and refunding me my money. It took three weeks and many phone calls just to get my ecm back. It has four weeks and have still not received my refund. Accounting department can only be reached by email and have failed on three occasions to return my email. I would use extreme caution dealing with this company.

I recentttly sent an ECM for a CAT 3126 engine to dieselecmexchange for testing and repair. I was told the unit I sent was not repairable (I believe a blown capacitor and the microprocessor was stuck in a boot loop). The did have another ECM that they could send me, which they supplied. While I did have some questions after getting the unit back (that went unanswered), I was able to get the truck running again. That was my goal and the Canadian price was $2800 vs $8500 at the local Freightliner dealer. While I would have appreciated slightly better support to my questions, the problem was fixed and cheaper than my local option. My experience was positive and I would use their services again in the future. In this day and age there can be a lack of trust in service found on the internet, but my experience was positive, and I only speak for my own experience.
