With them I really learnt how to control what to eat and how to keep fit. Therefore you should try and look for yourself. Thank you for your support.
When I discovered I had PCOS and was told eating a low carb diet was my only true fix for controlling my weight, I was lost until finding the Diet Doctor site. I read everything that was provided and found the information provided here to be easier to digest than what was forced upon me by my medical team. In addition to the diet based information, I found the recipes to be very helpful for the first several months of my transitions, several of which I still make to this day. I direct everyone I encounter that's looking to try keto or LCHF living to dietdoctor.com and I regularly look at the recipes and research new information when I need it. Thank you for all your help during my multi-year journey.
This is the place to start - the information is useful and ground breaking. Lots of great articles, videos by top doctors, and recipes.! I tell everyone I can about it!
Using Diet Doctor app whilst reading Dr. Jason Fung's book has reversed my type 2 diabetes. The recipes and support are really helpful. Highly recommended.
The information provided by DietDoctor.com is cherry-picked and misleading. Their articles always seem to accentuate the benefits of low-carb diets without taking serious consideration to potential health risks.
What if the low-carb diet isn't healthy or effective for a specific individual, then what should they do?
DietDoctor.com has no answer for this question, potentially leading at-risk individuals down a path that can devastate their health.
Even the website name itself is very misleading. By calling your website "DietDoctor", you are assuming the responsibility of understanding the benefits and risks of many different diets for various populations and conditions while maintaining an unbiased take on them all.
Instead, when you go to DietDoctor.com, you are overwhelmed with information about low-carb dieting and that's it. This can lead consumers to believe that low-carb and keto diets are the only way to improve health and lose weight which is not backed up by the research literature and goes against medical consensus.
Love the site and I feel much better eating 'real' food. Haven't been successful with weight loss as much as I'd have liked. Obviously I still have much to learn.
In 5 weeks I lost 1 st 2 lb, I don't have a lot to lose but just couldn't get to where I wanted, listening to diet doctor explaining everything put me in the right mind set to follow the Keto diet, I've got more energy and not as tired, I'm still a novice but I'm researching every day
I enjoy using the Diet Doctor website. I find the articles, and other information available to readers, to be very credible and trustworthy.
Information is key in today's world and diet doctor.com are perfect site to get that vital information from. I am happy that I find that information from my family practitioner
My husband and I decided to give the keto diet a try back in the spring of 2017. I wanted to lose about 15 lbs and my husband had about 30 lbs to lose. As a researcher, before we started we researched everything we could find on exactly what ketosis was and how it worked. We came across the Diet Doctor and as we delved into the information on this site we recognized that it not only had everything we needed to succeed, we also both felt all the articles were well researched. The recipes were also easy to follow.
We started with what we thought would be a three day fast but we both felt so good we continued for seven days. My husband lost 18 lbs and I lost 12 lbs. After that we continued to lose until we felt we were at the size we wanted to be.
We continue to follow the keto way of eating because it keeps us satiated and we love the food we get to eat. We intermittent fast using the 18/6 hr rule and usually only eat two meals a day. For so many years I deprived myself of all the food I now get to indulge on such as bacon, avocados, cheesecake, steak, burgers and on and on. Sometimes it can be a little more work as everything I make is from scratch but it is so worth the results. I remember when I first started I would have this amazing meal and be so full. I never felt like snacking which is the way I used to feel, and I would wake in the morning and not only felt slimmer but had tons of energy.
The Diet Doctor site is our go to site for relevant and factual information.

Answer: This is a keto low-carb diet, similar in many ways to other strict low-carb diets. This is an approach that has been extensively tested in dozens of high-quality studies, that have shown that it results in more weight loss, less hunger, and potentially increased metabolic rate. At Diet Doctor, we work to make low carb simple. And everything you need is available for free, forever. Our premium services are also free for a month. Answer: $9 per month according to the site. Hope that helps.
Answer: Hi Deborah! We don't sell or recommend specific supplements. Our premium program is free to try out for a month, after that it's USD 9.99 per month or 99 dollars per year. Losing weight happen at individual speeds that can not be predicted in advance, but realistically and long term 1-2 pounds per week is a very good result for a sustainable and enjoyable plan. That would thus take around 30 months at that speed, and the total cost of using our program for those 2.5 years (after the free trial) would be 250 dollars on the monthly plan or somewhat cheaper on the yearly plan. Hi Matt!
Thank you for your feedback. I'm very sorry to hear that you've experienced our site like that. We try to stay as objective and unbiased as we can, for example by not allowing ads, not selling products, having no affiliate collaborations and taking no industry money.
We do attempt to take health risks as seriously as we can. For example we have a section about known side effects of a low-carb diet, and how to handle them. We also try to make it clear who need to be careful when starting a low-carb or keto diet, who would need medical support, and what extra considerations are necessary in specific cases. See for example these pages:
https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/side-effects
https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/with-diabetes-medications
https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/with-high-blood-pressure
https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/when-breastfeeding
There are also many myths surrounding low-carb and keto diets, and we try to make it clear what health risks are supported by science, and which are not, or even disproven:
https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/fears
https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/science
We do not believe that low-carb or keto diets are the only way to improve health or to lose weight, there are clearly many other diet and lifestyle interventions that may be helpful, and in some situations more helpful. We try our best to make it clear in what situations it may be worth testing a low-carb or keto diet, when there is good support from scientific studies and extensive clinical experience to support its use:

I would be very happy if you could let us know specifically how we can improve, and what potential health risks you feel we may underestimate or that we need to improve our information about.
