The website doesn't try to sell products, but instead provides quality information about nutrition, particularly low carb diets. Lots of video presentations from conferences and interviews.
I love Diet Doctor. I am very hesitant to take on any regular monthly payments as I am on a fixed income pension. However I am happy to pay for Diet Doctor. Following a ketogenic diet, having Diabetest Type 2, and being 70 is no joke. My doctor believes in mainstream medicine. Period. The fact that I won't take his meds troubles him and he is unable to be helpful to me. Getting a different doctor is out - there are very few available, if any, in my area. The meal plans are terrific. I can usually cobble one together even when I want specific types of meals. I cook for myself and my adult daughter who is gluten free so we both agreed to go ketogenic because it's good for both of us. I read the articles, watch the videos (not all of them obviiously) and find this site a terrific resource where I can ask questions, read expert opinions, hear about other success stories. I love that it has no advertising (its worth the cost just to avoid the ads) but also because I know that what I'm being told isn't being influences by "sponsors".
I signed up with Diet Doctor in its infancy and have continued to keep my membership because of the superior content that is on this website. While I'm not new to the low carb/keto diet, I thoroughly understand the Goliaths in the medical and food industries that keto advocates have to battle, because I've been scorned by the ignorant, for several decades, because of following this way of eating. Seeing the adverse effects that have resulted from an industry determined to push the SAD diet and drugs to attempt to counter its damage, I am more convinced that sites like Diet Doctor are ever more necessary... to inform the public of the danger being done to their health. My critical health markers have always been excellent and I owe it largely to watching my carb intake. I've never had an A1c over 5.3 and it is currently 5.1. Your health will do a 180 if you take the time to educate and implement a low carb/ketogenic diet and lifestyle. The testimonies of men and women on this site attest to this very fact.
I use this app more than any other I have! It's easy to use and has a wealth of information on how and why to do Keto! The recipes are out of this world.
In a growing world of keto bandwagon jumpers this was my first keto and IF/EF site and is my 99% site. Everything I have wanted to find out has been easily found and explained.

Answer: This is a keto low-carb diet, similar in many ways to other strict low-carb diets. This is an approach that has been extensively tested in dozens of high-quality studies, that have shown that it results in more weight loss, less hunger, and potentially increased metabolic rate. At Diet Doctor, we work to make low carb simple. And everything you need is available for free, forever. Our premium services are also free for a month. Answer: $9 per month according to the site. Hope that helps.
Answer: Hi Deborah! We don't sell or recommend specific supplements. Our premium program is free to try out for a month, after that it's USD 9.99 per month or 99 dollars per year. Losing weight happen at individual speeds that can not be predicted in advance, but realistically and long term 1-2 pounds per week is a very good result for a sustainable and enjoyable plan. That would thus take around 30 months at that speed, and the total cost of using our program for those 2.5 years (after the free trial) would be 250 dollars on the monthly plan or somewhat cheaper on the yearly plan.
