I called them just to get pricing for a house I was buying. They wanted my birthdate, credit card number, social security number and the answers to my credit card file questions. I ended the call at that point. I would rather deal with a different company even if it costs more.

SCAMMERS

AWFUL. What a scam. I had been with them for multiple years, two accounts. I turned all my equipment in because I changed to a streaming service- they still billed me for over $400 I had to eat and turned it in on my credit. I did nothing wrong. They are scammers and take advantage of hard working people

No Local 7 channel!

Why not a local channel...CBS!
Our channel 7 has not been on for a few years now! We have to pay and use Paramount streaming!
WHY NOT? They can't pay for it! Really I pay over $140 month! I'm pretty much anti-dish! Cheaters!

When dish tells you there is a 24 month price guarantee. What they really mean is 24 month contract for service. Be very careful with what you agree to with them. I'm paying a early termination fee for what I understood as a month to month payment using my own equipment. Screw you dish. I won't ever be back. I should have learned the first time but I did it twice. There won't be a third. I noticed dish is loosing 8.7% of their customers yearly. Ask yourself why?

Rented a movie last night to watch to night. Re-recorded and was available to watch for 48 hours but when try to watch received message that it had expired. Can call center can't get in touch with anyone to talk about the situation.

Had to put mom in rest home. No longer able to work remote or hear TV. Charged her $200 to stop service.
Took 45min to get service cancelled. They have a bull$#*! answer for everything and won't take no for an answer. Cancelled my service as well because of constant price hikes. STAY AWAY. Go with Netflix or Hulu.At least they have something to watch and very reasonable rates. Thanks for nothing.CROOKS.

Don't do it

Do not use this company they will take your money and not return it when you don't have services. I called to cancel my connection because I had been robbed during my move I didn't have the funds to have them connect. This company assured me they would not take any money and that I could just call back when I had the funds to connect. The very next day they took $170 from my account. Now I am out the $170 and $70 worth of overdraft fees because this company refuses to give me my money back. My bank and the better Business bureau in Iowa are investigating this company for fraud please be aware and steer clear of dish Network they will take your money you'll never get services and they won't give you your money back

I had dish for 6 years. They raised their rates, and I called about it. They refused to lower the rates so I left and went to Xfinity. They tried charging me $150 to remove the dish and the pole from the ground in my yard! I was forced to rent a jack hammer for $50 and do it myself! This is appalling! After getting my money for 6 years you should have had the decency to come and remove the equipment, especially because it was your prices that caused me to leave! Beware before you choose dish, they are unethical in their business practices!

Kept my subscription alive after I got starlink, but needed local channels.
Had to buy a amazon fire stick to get dish anywhere.
Real clunky foolish series of steps to get my locals, plus $ 65 a month!
Very unreliable service, going to cancel and do without!
Dish sucks!

I had the rudest customer service rep, Ben based in Arizona, when trying to cancel my Dish service. After repeating multiple times why I wanted to cancel, he gave me some bs go around and judgmental comments about what would I do without the tv service. He was horribly impolite! Glad I'm canceling- Dish should do better with training their reps when customers want to cancel. If I could give zero stars, I would!

Dish doesn't work majority of the time, always having "technical errors" and are "working on getting them fixed" however they never do. They may put a temporary fix but will never be fixed for good! From using the DVR to dropping channels. Just know if you go with Dish you will get shotty service and shotty customer help! DONT DO IT!

The Worst! Don't sign.

If you want to quit they charge you like $ 50.00 per month until your contract ends. They don't tell you that until you get mad of their bad service.Every morning you need to have luck that your service has connection if not you need to unplug the system UNTIL you get connected.If you want to watch movies on YouTube it gets frozen all the time,the excuse is your wifi. I check the same movie in my iPad and it's normal. You sign you got stuck.

My mother died in December 2022. Called to cancel service in April when I realized I am still be debited for her bill on my bank account. Explained that she died 4 months ago and obviously she was not using their service and they refused to give me my money back. Heartlessness from a sad and pathetic company.

Finally they showed for a install had dish in past all they needed to do was install boxes they found a bad wire from dish to house so they layed the wire on ground over driveway across lawn and across the sidewalk bad trip hazard for myself who is disabled and my 85 year old mother called and was told I'd have to make another appointment 2 weeks out for them to look at it and they moved all tvs out from wall and left everything out including ther mess and old wires not a nice experience along with the danger they left me with I have photos of everything

Poor customer service
August 3, 2023

My husband had dish for nearly 16 years. We were married 3 years ago and he recently passed away. I am elderly and disabled and Dish expects me to climb a ladder and remove some "node", or get a family member to do it for me, box up all his equipment and take it to the nearest UPS. I wouldn't have dish if you paid me because of this experience.

Was a customer for about 15 years finally had enough and discontinued their service. They will keep creeping your bill up til you call to get it back down where is suppose to be according to your package. This is why they give discounts for electronic payments so they can do this. Had to keep calling to get boxes to return equipment, which if you read they will keep charging the monthly fee until they recieve their equipment regardless if it's been disconnected and they have turned it off, then they will charge you $20 to recieve their equipment back, plus $60 cancellation fee and didn't have a contract. I do not recommend this shyster crooked companies service to anyone if it was free to hook up, they will screw you before it's over. P.S. A little rain and you lost satellite signal. JUNK. A lot better services available

Have tried for weeks to resolve hopper problems, dish anywhere, my Vip211 account, billing errors.
There response is they cant do that right now. To call back in 7 days.

I have been on hold for dish for approx 4 hours total only to be told they do not have that capability at this time.

Received no notice of there problems until I called. I am tired of the runaround I am getting. While on hold just given all the ways to fix problems but no mention that their agent can not even fix a lot of stuff. Not even a agent saying that all will be resolved once they get things up and running. Just to call back in a week. No more by this memo i ask dish to contact me to fix my account. David Craig...you have my contact information.

DO NOT GET DISH!

There are several programming problems most notably when using HBO/MAX series. They don't stream, especially GOT. Customer service 1st gaslight you, denies a problem & when you escalate it they say it's a tech problem that will be resolved in 72 hrs. Never happens. No callbacks, dropped calls all the time. Set aside at LEAST 3 hours to try & get help.

Dish Stinks
March 6, 2022

Dish doesn't live up to the promises made during installation. And they try to increase your monthly bill periodically, with no changes in service. They told me my rate would stay the same for a year, but 3 months later it went up. Lastly, their advertisement on TV that they have 99% connectivity regardless of weather is PURE BULLS_IT. Every time it rains or is very cloudy, I lose all signals. Don't waste your money on these rip-off artists.
