Couldn't cancel my DishTv. I had forgotten I'd negotiated for a less expensive monthly package, which extended my previous contract. Before I'd figured that out, the lady on the phone had asked me why I wanted to cancel. I told her my husband had died, and I was economizing. His name appeared nowhere on the contract. She asked for his name and date of death so she could look up his obituary! I was appalled, and came close to breaking down right then and there. I cannot believe any company would be so offensive. I'm contractually obligated for another year or so, and will happily cut all ties then.

They'll negotiate a lower price, sometimes, but I didn't get the confirming email I'd requested. Not professional, and certainly not customer-centered.

I have had this app for five years and it is absolutely consistently horrible. Dish should be ashamed of the quality of this product. I enjoy home service with Dish and the receivers and the DVR etc. but this is a complete joke.

Recently Dish Network had a HUGE service interruption which looks to be a ransomware attack. This lasted for over a month and customer service was down for 6 weeks. I finally reached customer service today and they offered me $5 for my inconvenience. Who knows what information of mine is now in some hackers hands.
I have been a Dish customer for 20 years and pay $170 per month and they offer me 5 bucks. I will be canceling my service when my current contract expires at the end of this month and urge anyone reading this to stay far away from this company.

Just waited 20 minutes to talk to someone I couldn't understand. This is a company that just wants money, they care nothing about their customers. I have nothing good to say about them. I wonder if their negotiations will be over after the Super Bowl?

When used to be a few dollars to rent a movie. Now if you try to rent a movie with dish network they will charge you more than it costs to go out and buy the dvd. Is there charging more For a movie rental then it is to buy the movie from the store. I guess they're trying to Chase away all of their customers So we will just end up streaming And get rid of dish network completely. Y pay $20 or $25 to rent a movie. They are charging prices like you're going to the movie theater.

With them 13+ yrs they were always taking local/sports channels off n sposed to call a number to protest to get them bac on. No refund for offline channels n i pay xtra for sports. Cancelled in june, received bills next 3 months, had to call them every month n not cancelled each time, then got sent to collections! They r Rats n xpensive save yer $.

I have been trying for weeks to get my service changed. This is going over into scam territory when no one answers and you must listen to annoying MUZAK, but afraid to hang up. I like my actual DISH TV but ought to be able to talk with a human about changing it. If I can't speak to a person about modifying my plan, I will be dropping it altogether.

I have had to make three phone calls to DISH, their recording State high call volume with a thirty minute wait which was an hour and five minutes today the other call wait times were over an hour as well. I was told today the system has been down for four weeks I I could not take my home off pause and will not has service when I get home tomorrow.
Any company with sense would put on the recording what they can not do because the system is down, that way the high call volume would go down and the customer would not have to wait an hour on hold to talk to someone.

When my sister called on.my mothers behalf to pay her bill she was told they were going up on her bill. When my sister explained that my mother was on a fixed income and couldn't pay more the agent actually referred and helped my sister connect my mother to direct tv. After Direct TV installed her equipment and unhooked the Dish equipment we called back about returning the equipment and they told her she still had 17 months on her contract and would have to charge her 170 plus 20 dollars per box to return their equipment. If she was still under contract for the monthly payments they promised her then how is it that not only were they going up on her bill but helped her connect with Direct TV. Why would they do this if she was in fact still under a contract for a certain payment amount. This company is crooked and unprofessional.

This business is a scam and con artists. I wanted internet, I called them and they stated that the package I was wanting wouldn't be good for streaming as that is what I wanted to do, they upsold me on a different package. When the installer was at my house he stated the package I got would not work for streaming, that said the service was less than adequate. I canceled service immediately 40 days later they charged my card for 480 dollars. This company is pretty much garbage and they know it that's why they rip you off. If I could I would smash there goddamn heads with my fists but I can't so leaving this God awful review is going to have to be good enough. F$#k this business

I've had dish for 2 years now. Since I've had dish I've had nothing but problems. Technicians have been out many times to fix the problems and they still exist. Dish at least once a day hangs up and I have to reset the receiver. The receiver has been replaced twice. Programs I have set to record just disappear and never record. At this point if I can find an alternate service I will but I would never recommend this to anyone.

I attempted to order a movie with my "free on demand certificate". I called immediately to cancel the movie as it was $19.99 said they couldn't help me I have to call back tomorrow to request refund. The notification on my email never stated it was for a $6.99 movie. Looking forward to the day my contract is up! Always have to make more than one call to resolve issues with Dish!

Dish had my credit card information upon closing account told me they would use said credit card information. Yet they send it to collection agencies. I had to call Dish to ask why they did that. Told they didn't have security code on back. Why they didn't inform me they need it. Instead.

Very, very disappointing customer service. After 22 years as a customer. My bill jumped from $79 to $108 a month. Called customer service to find why. I was on hold for 50 minutes and a non English speaking person answer the phone which we couldn't communicate with. Called back couple days later and after waiting an hour and a half I get something called the retention center Dept.?. Which gave me a 2 choices either cancel my service or drop the bill down to $99 a month.
I am happy they did that. I canceled Dish Network... I signed up with Sling for $30 a month. Get more channels and great customer service.

If the hand could talk about a bad review, I believe that it would say that it would give them a NUMBER1. Because there equipment they claim is the best in the industry. I say what industry? Must be their own set up industry. Because the pricing is the cheapest of satellite tv world, but their equipment they charge for is top dog in the market for Junk! From first had experience.

For 2 weeks my tv has been stuck in sap mode your "tech tme" sent me to Toshiba and said it was my tv not dish... Toshiba told me to goto dish... but Toshiba informed me my tv had the warranty from best buy to call them I did. Waited 2 weeks for the in home appointment only to find out that yes in fact it was a dish problem my tv was not installed on dish as hdmi. And when they did the upgrade they only did it for hdmi... needless to say in 20 minutes and a correct install done by a non dish person my tv is now working correctly and I have a better picture! Your service techs are crap dish network!

After several months of bad service and several tech visits, never worked correctly. Was told by one supervisor that due to several issues and tech visits wouldn't be charged disconnect fee and would put in notes. When called to disconnect said would be charged $420. No supervisor would help and said still be charges. Too many tech visits and lies told by reps. Don't believe what they say, and best Don't Get Dish Network

After complaining several times to Dish Network customer service because their technician who had stolen the laptop did not have the courage to call back, I received a call purportedly from their head office to say that they would take action against the technician but they could not tell me what action would be taken.

I was a happy customer of dish for over 14 years… Their customer service was great… Until I needed to cancel my Internet and satellite service due to my recent job loss… They wouldn't do it! I was told they would, reassured they would, and after numerous calls, I still kept getting a bill. They shut down my Internet, but not my dish/satellite… Took me over four months to finally get my refund… And that took numerous hours on hold with customer service, and finally emailing their corporate office! Dish is very happy to take my money… On time… But do not like giving refunds! They make it extremely difficult, and extremely hard to understand when customer service doesn't speak English as a first language!

This company has to be the shadiest corrupt entity that I have ever experienced. Could be why they have a one-star review everywhere I look. You can't talk to anybody that speaks good English and you have to struggle to understand what they're saying... and that would be after the 45 minutes you're on hold. I would think a company that is worth 3.45 BILLION DOLLARS would offer their customers a bit more other than raising our rates over charging us and then subjecting us to the customer service that we can't even understand.
