The ER doctors in my area bill seperately from hospital and they use this company. Called hospital and was verified.
It's been almost a year since I had an ER visit and I paid the first bill immediately upon receipt. Despite this they have been sending me the exact same bill four or five times now even though it's been PAID. I called them three times and was told the same "it's being taken care of" runaround only to keep getting the same bill months later. ABSOLUTELY INCOMPETENT COMPANY— your actions are borderline criminal and you should be ashamed of yourselves. Why any hospital or provider would work with this company is beyond me.

Tried to charge me for bills paid over a month ago. Been fighting with them ever since. Now the account can no longer be accessed (chat person says for security reasons). I think the poor emergency physicians are having their payments misappropriated.
I went to their website to pay the medical bill I ended up after I was forced to go to a hospital while unemployed (now I have a job). They basically have NO payment options other than credit/debit which is bad for those of us who do not have cards. You can not contact them at all to find alternate payment methods because their "contact us" page doesn't load. So, while you struggle to figure out how to feed the greedy beast you were saddled with, you end up with bad marks on your credit history.
From every angle, doctorpayments.com looks like a scam. It is not, however; they will try to double/overcharge you for your medical bill. Make sure to call your own insurance provider to check for:
1. If you have a claim
2. If your claim was approved
3. What your Explanation of Benefits says you owe
DO NOT PAY until you have checked these three steps

I got 7 stitches a few weeks ago and these guy sent me a $497.00 bill on top of the $1200. 00 the hospital charged me. I have not paid just because I still don't know how legitimate they are. I'll just have to wait and see.
I have not been able to contact anyone by phone or website. The website will not accept the account number. There is a voicemail in which no one calls you back or answers. I have made 2 payments, but can't confirm the second one has been received. It took a month to get the first payment posted. I will not be sending another payment to this fraudulent company. Why would UNC ER doctors use this type of company. This terrible company needs to be investigated and shut down.
Got a "Final Notice" from this company, which was my first received, claiming I'm days from collections. They won't take automatic payments. They are apparently "legitamite" according to the hospital I went to even though the site has only been up for a few months. I waited in the outside waiting area for hours, came in, sat down and after answering financial stuff was handed a 1 dollar pill by this doctor. I already knew I might need it and tried asking the person taking me to take me to a clinic, and asked for it in the er. ER bill 1100, this jumps it up to 1500. This is a *******% markup. *******%
They sent me to collections a week early and when I asked why they said "I don't know just cause". Then said just pay them the amount on the statement. Wouldn't take payment over the phone. Said to go online and just pay what the amount on the paper said and "maybe" they would take it back… even though it wasn't suppose to go to collections till the end of the week. Absolutely ridiculous. Laughed at me for asking questions. This place should be shut down.
Call your care provider directly to confirm any bill received for doctorpayments.com
THIS IS A SCAM SITE and not a real bill. They will scrape your info and send you medical bills for recent visits to doctor, hospital, etc.
Tip for consumers:
Doctorpayments.com is a SCAM WEBSITE using your medical info for false bills
Can't make a payment through the phone either. Can only leave a voicemail. I was not able to make a payment for the ER physicians at Overlake Hospital. Worst billing experience ever.
They are not picking up my phone as well as website is down. This is super frustrating. How you expect us to pay?
Beware, this site is a scam. I am surprised medicare has not noticed this fraud. Their website is still up.

When you dial the number for customer service *******890 for must leave a message first red flag... when i recd a call the next morning... I heard I I'm returning your call you left a message on our voicemail yesterday and I said oh yes it's regarding that bill that I owe I have state provided medical assistance so I have no copay nor self pay and she hung up on me click... So I called back and wanted to speak to someone right away impossible so I started googling doctorpayments.com and I got another number *******188. I believe it answered medical billing but again automated but a live person answered quickly after I held for a minute or two I explained that I was hung up on and she gave me another number to call *******565 and a live person answered again this time I gave her an account number that appeared on my bill from Baltimore Washington emergency physicians in Boston Massachusetts she claimed that she couldn't find my account number what I have was a 10 digit number she said she needed like a 13 digit number or one that begins with a letter?
And asked for my birthday to help look up my account 2nd red flag thats when i decided that I wasn't giving her any more information than she already had and hung up. I called my insurance company who said they contacted this scam company who claims they didn't have my insurance information but... I always provide my insurance information every single time prior to being seen. Its mandatory... So i need to investigate to see whats going on here. Scam? Maybe! Probably!
