Have an upcoming trip to Italy with my boyfriend and love the selection they have at DSW. Never shopped here before but glad I found it. Purchased some cute shoes for my trip.
Called store about Birkenstock's Arizona Big Buckle in white, giving full description and price of shoe. Was told there we 2 in my size. I arrived at store only to find what was advertised as white online was actually a pearl/off white yet the shoe shown online was white white! I am stuck with a purchased gift card for $170 that I cannot return to Kroger! I assumed if DSW sold Birkenstock they would be authentic and true to color. The person who identified herself as a manager had no answer excepted advertising department was responsible for photos online!
I recently ordered 3 paid of shoes at DSW on line... all 3 came in filthy and used... not just scuffed but absolutely worn and filthy... When I called they said to just send them back... That was NOT the point! How can they charge you FULL price for brand new shoes and ship crap? I WILL NEVER buy from them again... 3 Pairs. I can see one slipping by but nt 3. They apparently do this all the time.
Perfect for every shoe whore - I love this website! It's so easy to shop for shoes here. You can narrow it down by size and color and style of shoe, or you can just browse around in general if you're not looking for anything specific.
I ordered shoes during Black Friday. Received them and found glue all over one of the black suede shoes. Not only that, they came in a box with absolutely no paper work whatsoever, no invoice, no return sticker. I had to call customer service, another 15 minutes on the phone to even speak to someone, only to find out I will have to return them to a store. Good thing one is close by, but I am not happy with this experience at all!
Avoid placing an order online it's is absolutely ridiculous when it comes to shipping, and the customer service is just as bad. I have been trying to contact them in regards to my order that I have yet to receive, but have gotten no where. I'm all set with ordering from them again.
I was pleased to receive a free backpack reward from DSW rewards today. They promise free shipping to home or store. Well, that is not correct. They try to gouge you on shipping to home and the closest DSW for me is 15 miles away. The online chat then wanted me to pay and then refund. Well that is not acceptable on an advertise free shipping. So much for a neat reward. Someone dropped the ball in programming.
Placed an order for an e-giftcard on 12/24. Website stated they would be delivered in 12 hours. It was suppose to be a Christmas gift for someone. They still have not send out the order yet as of 12/26. When I called the customer service department, they said they had to place a hold on my account for some reason and they could not tell me the reason because their research department handles the holds and their research department is closed for today. So it won't be till 12/27 that they would be able to resolve the issue. Insane. Worst customer service ever. Will never order anything from them again.

Recently I made a purchase thru customer service (via telephone) and as usual I was extremely satisfied with the professionalism of the staff plus their ability to help you out with your questions. In addition, when the shoes arrived in overnite method they were perfect too. My husband and I buy all our shoes at DSW and you must visit the San Francisco store. It is huge and wonderful with a great staff to help you.
My wife's and my wedding rings were sent to the Columbus Ohio warehouse by mistake. We have all the documentation showing. Suddenly our wedding rings are nowhere to be found! Imagine that! We have tried to call DSW numerous times only to have rude reps on the phone with no help. I have now contacted the police enforcement and an investigation has started. My wife was a top DSW customer but they have now lost our business forever!
I ordered a pair of sneakers from dsw. I received an initial email saying that when item was ready for shipping I would be contacted. Two weeks plus later I contacted customer service and was told that item was delayed because of inventory. Last night I finally get an email that my order was cancelled because item is no longer available. Why didn't dsw inform me weeks before that item was not available or they were having issues fulfilling my order? Why did I have to call customer service? Such poor service…. And in the meanwhile since I placed the order, my inbox is inundated with emails from dsw everyday trying to get me to order stuff.

Shopping at DSW online has been nothing but a disaster. I recently tried to order a pair of shoes, and I tried ordering the same thing TEN different times and all of my orders were cancelled despite the item showing in stock. Customer service was nice, but not at all helpful and gave me empty promises about my item shipping. I finally gave up, and ordered a different pair, and tracking was inaccurate and showed different delivery dates every place I checked. Shop in store locations if at all.
I ordered Timberland boots in black, and DSW shipped wheat. I guess they thought I'd just take whatever they sent. When I called and complained, they promised they were shipping out the correct color. 5 days later, I got an email that the order had been canceled because they were out of stock. Lies, just lies. Customer service told me what I wanted to hear to get me off the phone. And now I have to fight to get the refund for the original wrong pair that I've already returned. Find another seller. DSW is the worst!

It would have been helpful for me to know that the customer service is non-existent. They don't care if you get what you ordered. And when you call customer service, they lie and tell you what they think you want to hear to get you off the phone.

Good variety but be prepared to wait. Waited over 30 minutes on a Saturday watching only TWO cashiers. Manager walked by and said "sorry I have to be on the floor" then walked back to his office. It was January 2. A slow shopping day. Not good!
So I got a coupon for $20 off. Why does it always have to be a certain amount for me to use them. Shoot these shoes are high and of good quality, but if you're going to give off, just give the coupon with no required spending amount. Your company not loosing a dime. Just bless folk with $20 for their birthday or VIP!
Beware when ordering online. Received 2 different sizes on the same pair of boots. Customer service was abysmal. From non English speaking reps with accompanying barroom brawl noises in the background to 2 different agents promising me never received $25 in rewards for all my "inconveniences". Returned shoes to store, refused replacement order. Washed my hands of DSW. Ordered identical boots from another vendor.
I ordered 5 pair of shoes. Not only are they still pending, but the online help center disconnected me twice. The phone rep in India tried to blame FedEx, however. I have an account with FedEx and can see that the shoes have not been provided to them. This is the 2nd time in 6 weeks that the deliveries have been delayed and I am a VIP with them for 40 yrs. They have really gone downhill in their customer service and shipping.

Yes the took my money from bank account and created a shipping label FedEx but still have not shipped anything. I would not recommend them to anyone. I will call my bank and dispute charges.

I ordered a pair of shoes one week ago and experienced a few problems that were solved after making a phone call so I decided to give them another chance. I ordered another pair of shoes. They did not ship because the representative told me the address was different. It was not! But no one ever contacted me. After I called them I was given that information. I will NEVER order from them again. They are the WORST. Thanks MACY'S for your easy shipping process and for keeping me informed about my shipment! Good bye DSW!
Thank you Nicole and Anna. You exchanged my 1 month old defective Converse high tops that Northway on the Block store North of Pittsburgh would do NOTHING for me. The Block's manager had zero customer service skills. There is discretion when dealing with defective product but she did not exercise any! So, I called Nicole and Anna's store and they went above and beyond to exchange defective shoes for new ones. Full credit for the defective ones and then a discount on the replacement shoes. That's what I call customer service.
DSW's customer service phone service offers zero assistance for sales from stores. That's where the Block's manager sent me to. Thanks for nothing DSW at the Block (North Hills of Pittsburgh). I don't recommend going there, ever. Drive the extra few miles to go where they treat you like an actual customer.

Stay away from DSW until they fix their issues. They only partly honor their coupons and rewards certificates, and then they'll charge your cc whatever they like. If you have to make a return, forget about getting some of your money back. They refuse to give you a full refund even though you paid full price for a pair of shoes because you used a coupon or rewards certificate. They do a BS thing of dividing the certificate among each shoe instead of the entire order. If you return any part of your order, expect to lose that money unless you buy something else. They lure you in with their rewards certificate for accumulating 1500 points, and then screw you over if you end up not liking/fitting a pair of shoes that you ordered online and have to return it.
Was declined a return that was purchased on my debit card that has already withdraw from my account. Purchased Brooks shoes on October 16 2022, I did have my receipt when I went to return them On October 20 2022. Only wore in house. They use a company called TRE that tracks your returns ( had 3 for year). On line this company is used by DSW to track you purchases and decide when you can return based on your returns. Bottom line is I can return in 60 days according to their big brother method and have money credited back into my checking account. So buyer beware when buy-in at DSW. Nowhere is this policy posted in store, online or receipt.
I spent a total of over $300 and I never got nothing! I contacted DSW and they did not help me at all? I am on disability and the shoes I ordered was for Christmas gifts I can not have a Christmas for me and my son now! I am devastated I can not believe this is happening to me! I can't afford to pay out 300 but I made it happen! I'm just speechless!
I ordered a pair of shoes for my wedding but they were the wrong size. No big deal, so I exchanged them (that is, returned them and purchased the right size). I got the new shoes, they were exactly what I wanted and the correct size. However, the return I sent back was processed but my money was never refunded. I called them 2 separate times, even getting my credit card company involved, to no avail. 26 days later, I still don't have the refund and had to go through the claims/disputes division of my cc company. Hopefully they'll stick it to them. NEVER AGAIN DSW!
Ordered shoes in my size at the store located Ross Township, Pittsburgh, PA. The clerk got the size wrong. I called customer service to change the size before it shipped but was told it was too late and when received would need to bring them to the store for a refund. Because of the inconvenience, they gave me $10 that was to be on my account. When the shoes arrived, I took them to the store for a credit and also found another pair of shoes I wanted to purchase, but at the check out counter, the manager told me there was not $10 on my account. She expected proof in an email. Her attitude was so unprofessional, I eventually wanted only the credit and no longer wanted to purchase anything else. I told her she lost a nice sale because of her refusal to honor the $10 credit. Her reply, "I don't think it will matter much". I'll never shop there again.

Ordered a single gift card on 11/30. Tried to track it a week later. No tracking available is what showed when I got into my order. Emailed DSW regarding this problem. Not satisfied with response. On 12/08, received an email that my gift card had been shipped. Tried tracking a few days after and still said no tracking a available. Contacted DSW. Told I would have to wait 5-7 business days after shipping, to receive. After that time, still no card. Contacted again saying that I wanted the charge removed from my credit card bc the day I needed it for has gone by. Today, 11/17, received an email from DSW that I SHOULD get it by 11/22! What happened to the 5-7 days after shipping? Just a big time run around. No card after almost a month after ordering. Ridiculous, frustrating and no gift card. Will never order anything from DSW again. I mean come on... a single gift card!

Extremely disappointed and how the customer service is handle. After reaching out about a inferior product customer service told me I was a few days out of warranty and would not honor anything. They referred me to the manufacturer then went to deferred me back to DSW who still said they would not do anything for me. Once again this was four days after the 90 day warranty that these boots completely fell apart after normal wear. Go anywhere else.
