Not sure if all this negative feedback has made them improve. I want to commend Worldstores on their returns process. Received a damaged item from them which was disappointing but the ease of return has left a good impression. They gave a collection schedule 4 days after I reported the problem. Collection people arrived on the day. Money including delivery fee was back in Paypal account within 1 hr of the item being collected. I may still order from them in future.
UPDATE: contacting the CEO or any other team members and they'll either ignore you or refer you to the Customer Care team without ever responding to you personally. The Customer Care team just dismiss everything we say or ask, and didn't know the facts regarding how to clean the sofa as per the video and instructions on the Dunelm product page for the sofa. Michelle from the Customer Care team had to confirm the correct way to clean our sofa after she argued and accused us of not following the guidelines, based on wrong facts and details in the Emmiera report by Russell. Michelle from Customer Care just keeps telling us that she is going along with the wrong information and won't look into it any further or work out a resolution. We have tried taking this issue to West Yorkshire Trading Standards Service ADR scheme as per the Dunelm Complaints procedure. It states that if you are unhappy with the resolution from Dunelm, you can contact ADR... but the catch, if you try - you have to have consent from Dunelm that they'll participate. Dunelm has declined to participate and told us to go to Trading Standards instead. Just a heads-up for anyone considering the Carson Deep Sit Vivalife Stain-Resistant Fabric Corner Sofa from Dunelm. We bought it in November 2022 for £1,314.05, and it's been nothing but trouble. Here's what we've experienced: - Mould is growing inside the cushions—even the ones that haven't been cleaned. - Despite being advertised as stain-resistant, the sofa stains and turns blue/black when cleaned according to the provided instructions. - There's a strange black glitter-like substance that transfers to skin and is hard to remove. - Dunelm sent a technician who initially told us it was a manufacturing fault, but their final report falsely blames us for "using the wrong cleaning methods." The report is full of mistakes, including irrelevant advice about cleaning garden furniture! - The sofa cushions are supposed to be water-resistant, but they've clearly soaked up moisture, causing the mould—despite us following the instructions and air-drying the cushions. We're being accused of mistreating the sofa without any real proof, and we're stuck with a product that doesn't meet the standards of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If you're looking for a sofa, I'd steer clear of this one.
It is now the 7th May 2016 and as the bed was so, so late arriving we had no alternative but to buy another bed. Now we have waited weeks and weeks for the bed to be uplifted in order for our payment of £500.00 to be refunded, as obviously, it is needed since we had to purchase another bed?
Very bad company I will never shop there again! Dreadful customer service and return policy. Not to mention that the products have cheap feeling as well.
1st bad experience was when I ordered bunkbeds. They only sent one mattress and half the parts! Took tons of phone calls and emails to resolve it and couldn't use the bunk beds for 2 months! 2nd incident was a product had 2 different prices on it and they wouldn't honour lower price because "it was because they were updating their website". Poor customer service!
Ordered 2 beds and mattresses from BedStoreWorld and MattressWorld respectively. Paid £20 for the items to be delivered 2 days later and the order was confirmed. Took the day off an waited in all day and no item arrived and no contact made to say it would not arrive.
Contacted them to be told it would be another week and a discount could not even be discussed until the order was complete. I said that is too late and cancelled the order.
Avoid these cowboys.

I ordered a door from Worldstores, and twice I had confirmed delivery dates that were then cancelled - I only found out about this through calling up the night before the deliveries were due and sitting on hold to be told it wasn't coming - nobody was going to bother letting me know.
I had a third delivery date confirmed, this time I had confirmation and dispatch emails the night before and morning of the delivery date. I used a whole day of annual leave only a few days before Christmas to sit at home and wait for the door - and it never arrived. I spoke to them around 5pm and they said it wasn't on the delivery vehicle for that day.
Appalling service and complete and total disregard for the days and hours of my time they wasted.
One of the worst companies I've had the misfortune of dealing with. Getting through on the phone is a nightmare and you're holding on for absolute ages. Staff unhelpful and jobs not carried out. I had an email telling me my order was cancelled as I cancelled it but I've still had no refund and now I've just had a text saying the item is coming tomorrow. I wish I had read the reviews before purchase. RUN AND DONT LOOK BACK!
I placed an order for a frame bed for over £600, I chased and chased. Customer service said they would investigate and phone me back within 3 days, guess what a week later and nearly 1 hours on hold I got through and told me the bed was discontinued and should not have been sold and I would get a refund in 5 to 7 days! No apology no compensation, they had my money for a month and now I wait another week for a refund!

I have been trying to contact worldstores/sofasworld customer service to discuss my order, it is impossible to contact them, neither by email nor by phone. Ridiculous after sales service. If you are lucky and dont need to talk about your product you are lucky. Otherwise you are in deep soup. Terrible after sales service
Contact from Worldstores was good at first to inform me that the items were not in stock but thats were the customer service ends. After nearly 3 months of waiting I asked for a refund, which did not arrive! After numerous phone calls and waiting another 3 weeks I had to contact my Bank to be re-imbursed as Worldstores seemed to have no intention of refunding me. They did however contact me after my Bank had refunded me to leave a voicemail to check my Bank details! No chance l would recommend Worldstores!
Placed an order with worldstores for a duvet set on the 9/9/17. Emailed after a few weeks as nothing came, and the delivery couriers said they had never received the parcel. Tried to contact their customer services numerous times but could never get an aswer. Finally got through on the 28/9 and got the item re ordered because apparently it had been lost in transit. The lady said it would be 3-5 days. Then on the 6th day I received a text, saying not to wait in as my order would not be coming and they would call me tomorrow. Had no explanation why and contact from them since. It is now the 4/10 and been nearly 4 weeks since I placed the first order. Now trying to get hold of them for a refund and cannot get through again. Been on hold for hour! NEVER PLACE AN ORDER THROUGH THIS COMPANY!
Just an update on my shambolic experience with Worldstores. Today I have received 2 emails. One saying that my items have been dispatched and another saying that they don't know where the goods are and don't even know if they had them in the first place. This is nearly one week on from original shambles and they still have my money:(

Ordered a mattress for named day delivery today. Tracker says it is at the Hull collection depot. Managed to find a contact number for trhe courier and called them. They say the mattress will not be delivered until after the new year.
Have been on hold with the very difficult to find worldstores number for nearly 45 minutes now!
Why bother letting me choose a named delivery day when you have no intention of keeping to it.
Finally got through to a very uncaring person and have cancelled the order and requested a refund.
Am not impressed with their service and will not use them again. Will also spread the word that your delivery times do not match your promises.
I wish there was someway they could compensate me for my wasted day...
Very bad customer service. I ordered a bench with didn't arrived on time and I had to call several times to get the product to be delivered. When it finally arrived there were missing parts that I called the cust service team and they offered 2 options: buy myself the missing parts and send the invoice or wait 15days for the parts to be delivered. I choose to buy the parts myself and after I sent the invoice the cust service team replied that they are not responsible for any extra bills. Completely dissapointed on the service and product quality.

Ordered a bed and mattress. The mattress arrived on time without the bed! Was told I would get a call/text/email to say what was happening but didn't. I called and was told the bed would arrive 2 days later. I waited in all day but it didn't. Was told by customer services that it hadn't even been dispatched by the warehouse! Complete $#*!tards! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY
Order arrived with 11 days delay. Order arrived damaged. I've tried spent more than 5 hours trying to rich their support by phone, from web-site, via email. Nobody answers. Only robots.
THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY - Ordered & paid for 2 items both for next day delivery, same courier company used as noted on the tracking link but only 1 arrived, delivery driver had 1 item only on dispatch note. Several phone calls left on hold to their premium rate number and emails sent which have not been replied to - customer service - WHAT customer service? - happy to take your money but not supply all the goods. If our company treated customers this would we would not be employed for very long! I wish I had read all the reviews before I placed my order.
Placed an order for three pieces, two mattresses and one bed. Waited in on scheduled delivery day - no show. Over the following week I spent £32 on calls (mainly on hold) trying to find out where my goods were. Total waste of time, new arrangements were made day after day and not honoured. I had taken the week off work to have new floors laid on ground floor so delivery of the beds on the Monday was important before work commenced midweek. I had to cancel the floor laying to accommodate new delivery dates which were not fulfilled. They finally arrived the following Monday, a week late, requiring me to take a further day off. My daily online complaints finally generated a totally inadequate 'apology' on the Saturday. My formal written complaints subsequently have been totally ignored and not even acknowledged. It is now six weeks and not a word from them. World Stores obviously rely on the average aggrieved customer such as myself just giving up in the end. What else can we do, it is not worth suing, the frustration and anger only takes over your life so one just has to put it down to the modern way of business and move on. God help anyone else who tries to do business with this firm. Unfortunately I did not research this firm prior to placing my order or I would have seen that there are many, many more suffered the same fate as myself. They appear to have so much business that Customer Service has been deemed as superfluous to THEIR needs.
So having posted a bad review of earlier today and tweeted it this is the reply they immediately tweeted and still no sign of my delivery or customer service:

Says it all really. They obviously have a petulant 5 year old in charge of customer service. But proof of their attitude. Avoid and share. I am sending this stuff to trading standards as clear evidence of their behaviour.
Ordered my coffee table a month ago and have since heard nothing... I can't get through to their phones and they don't respond to emails- worst company ever
So I order a bed and a mattress. Delivery in 7days the website says. I call the next to change from Kingsize to Double... the operator tells me it'll be delivered in the same time frame.
1 day before, I get an email telling me that they have severe delays and cant tell when it will be delivered...
I wouldnt recommend this site to anybody who wants some form customer service or logic... why not just advertise. We are dropshippers, middemen, we have no stock and cant tell you when anything will be delivered because we are literally not in control!
I was supposed to move in the same day as the bed arriving!
We bought a bed frame and mattress and in less than 6 months the slats had warped (massively) and the mattress had a huge indentation in it. The quality of both bed and mattress is rubbish and, for a bit more money, we bought a really great mattress from Loaf and far superior bed frame from IKEA.
In addition to a poor quality product, the service is honestly amongst the absolute worst I've ever dealt with. I sent more than 20(!) emails over a period of more than a month chasing people and trying to find out what was happening with my complaint. They often take a week to respond (if you remind them every couple of days). Eventually I called World Stores but you have to wait on hold for a long time and then someone just tells you someone else will get back to you. But no one does. They won't transfer to you a manager and they won't let you wait on hold until one is available. If you ask them to, they threaten to terminate the call (this actually appears to be policy).
Eventually World Stores agreed to replace the slats and refund me for the mattress. After more than 15 phone calls over the past two weeks, I've received neither.
I dealt with Emma Mitchel, Zoe Longhurst, and a manager called Ray Jordan (amongst others).
Save yourself the hassle and spend a bit more money on something that will last more than 6 months.
Really bad experience, they failed to delivery my good (a cage for a hamster) and it seems like they are having problems with their system making confusions and delays.
I would avoid this.
