I am not sure why people have done bad reviews for this. I had a great experience. Yes there were some minor issues with the clothing but I communicated my concerns and they replied. You can always contact them with your concerns if you have any so that they improve. We should realize that they are doing a great job for the Muslim community by promoting modesty and be less critical.
I was so disappointed in the dresses I bought from them, the fabrics are so flimsy and cheap, one of them tore the second time I wore it. Their sales are so fake because the clothes are not even worth the sales price.
I reverted to Islam 2 years past. I needed appropriate clothing. I am also a clothes hog so buy at lot of clothing. East Essence is fantastic. They have excellent prices and each year I shop there they have gotten better and better both style wise and with the fabric. The kashibo is the only fabric that is a bit odd, and it is fine for cloaks and over garments. The only reason I gave EE a 4 star is because it does take a while to get Items so you have to plan if there is an occassion. I have had to do returns and they went smoothly. I love EE and they are the only place I shop. The last thing I would like to say is EE has clothing that is halal but some have a Western flare. It's great if you are newly Muslim, and if you work. You can feel confident your clothing is modest, but with enough Western flare it doesn't cause issues at work.
I've ordered quite a few times from EE, and each time has been interesting. I've received gorgeous and lovely abayat, ones that I've had for years now and still wear on a day to day basis (the quality is astounding for a few of them). I love their abayat. Now, one thing to be careful of is the fabric, make sure you know exactly what fabric you are buying, and how it looks in real life, because pictures can be deceiving. But this is also true for any online shopping, just be careful. The kashibo is a strange fabric, not one I think looks particularly nice, but it does keep you cool, which is a plus. The only bad experience I've had with them was through the 'marketplace' section. I bought a dress that I'd hoped to wear for my Nikkah, and paid quite a bit for it, but what came in the mail was something that vaguely resembled a grocery bag and looked nothing like the photos. The sleeves only came to my elbows and were sheer, even though I paid for lining on the inside. There were no refunds given, but that was my own fault, I knew the items were final sale but took the chance anyways, so always make sure to purchase something that you would have the ability to refund if you were dissatisfied, otherwise its your own fault.
So, to sum it up, stay away from the market place! Anything else that is produced outside of that area I have had good luck with and enjoyed my purchase. Many of their products I have had and worn for years, great quality, even the cheaper abayat and jilbab. The only reason for three stars is because of the horrendous customer service when I reached out, I actually ended up crying afterwards. I was very disappointed with the unprofessional attitudes of the staff I spoke with and being talked down to. It was a disheartening experience.
I ended up getting a refund in the end, not from EE, but from American Express. I emailed the picture of the dress from the website, and then the picture of what I received. The customer service rep I was talking with from Amex laughed for about five minutes straight at the difference, told me I had definitely been scammed and refunded me every penny since I was a bride-to-be.
I selected two outfits from the website. Both were shipped and I was excited to receive them to wear for formal events coming up in the near future. When they arrived I noticed one of the pieces was NOT what had expected to receive. It was advertised as a navy blue outfit. The color was in the title, was shown in the photos and was on the packing slip. When I opened my package I found a pink colored outfit in its place. I immediately messaged customer service and asked for a refund if I were to return it. They granted the return request but that's not where this ends. Uzma, the customer service representative, continued to tell me after I questioned her that I selected the pink color as shown on my order confirmation. I went back to the website to order this piece again and NO WHERE is there even an option to select a different color. She then became defensive when I mentioned this is a form of false advertising. Things are still not resolved. I will not be buying from them again.

Gone are the days when modest fashion meant compromising on style. EastEssence has redefined modesty with their chic and fashionable collection. I recently purchased a printed abaya that perfectly embodies my personality. The fabric is comfortable, and the garment's design is simply stunning.
East Essence dresses are a testimony and a pure benchmark to how stitching and dressing for the men of Islam should be. Order something from them, and believe what I say. Disappointment won't be an option for you, that's for sure.
I was looking for the modest white outfit forthe retreat and made a purchase on eastessence. But had my doubts about that online store so went search for the reviews and found bad reviews here. So was expecting do not get my order, or get late, or get very poor quality.
Ha! I've got my order just in one week! Quality is good! And very pleased with my purchase!

As Iman M said this business has no idea how to portray the color of their products accurately. The color you buy is not the color you get. Customer Service is pathetic to say the least. Standard line to complaints appears to be "get stuffed" of course in a civil manner. The Indian tailors do a good job but the quality of fabric can be disappointing. Once bought you are stuck with the product because of the cumbersome returns policy. They even refuse to close my account despite being asked to. Great Islamic tradition from a purported Muslim organisation. NOT.
I sent them a PM, email, online chat, anything I can find after I made an order with express shipping and then I cannot log into my account, my email no longer exists. It has been a few days and no one at all even bothered to reply and help. Delivery is supposed to 5-8 Nov and it's now 6 Nov and I cannot even check if the order has been shipped out, I've not receive any emails from you as well about shipping. This is extremely stressful and I truly regret ordering from them.
Cheap imitation thobes made in India. My order was drop shipped from India. You will not be able to see how cheap material is in pic and how cheap the stitching is. It says cotton but who knows what type of cotton it is. Very cheap. These are not traditional thobes. It's a spin off on thobes by Indians.
Tip for consumers:

"Zero Star" This is a rude and unprofessional company. They do not deliver orders in time. I requested cancelation, but they refuse even though they cannot meet the delivery target. The sizes, and quality of clothes very poor and substandard. Stay away from ordering from them!
I recently ordered 130$+ worth of dresses for Eid. They did deliver on time but the sub-standard quality of the dresses (not as good as they were shown in pics on the website) put me off to the point that I went ahead and used my fresh set of washed clothes for Eid. I am terribly disappointed and also upset with their return policy. When expressed my concerns they did not even bother to make an exception to win back my confidence... i will never shop here again.
I just received my shipment today and I. Love. It! I admit I was a bit nervous and apprehensive after reading all the negative reviews. The clothes are true to size, workmanship is good, and quality is outstanding. Thank you, East Essence. I will order again.
A few formal outfits for Namaz routines are a must, and these people at East Essence offer them well. The fall of the dress and stitching is very fine and looks like it is done by a skilled craftsman with great knowledge about his trade.
On this website, you never feel like being robbed or something even on the lines of not getting the best value for your money. Other than that, the best thing about this marketplace is that everything is simple to find, and they're very sure of what they're offering.
I ordered some clothes a days back. The products look fab. Look exactly what they show on the website. No extra shipping fees. The cloth fit perfectly, the fabric is amazing. I had a great experience shopping at Eastessence.
Have ordered a few times from this company. They are superb. The clothes are of amazing quality, the prices are so affordable, the collection is really nice. You just can't stop shopping from eastessence once you start doing it.

EastEssence's collection of modest Islamic clothing is the epitome of elegance. The abayas exude sophistication and grace, making them perfect for formal occasions. I recently wore one of their fully lined abayas to a wedding, and I received endless compliments. The customization option allowed me to tailor it to my height, ensuring a flawless fit.
EastEssence has given me the confidence to embrace modesty unapologetically. Their clothing celebrates the beauty of covering up while making a bold style statement. I recently purchased a stunning abaya that perfectly encapsulates my personality and values. Eastessence have the best prices and shipping in the market. It definitely lives up to the customer hype. Even the returns are so hassle free. Everybody should just once shop from Eastessence to see how good they are.
I bought a pair of swimming pants that were unfortunately too big for me. They were 77$. I sent them back at my own expense - I paid 25$ in s&h. They only refunded me back 30$. I lost 72$ for pants I sent back/couldn't wear. They said they don't refund the "extra material fee" on the pants and the s&h which was 12.99$ each. It's a rip off and they do not honor the customer. I won't be shopping with them again.
EastEssence has completely changed the way I approach modest fashion. Their clothing not only upholds traditional values but also adds a touch of versatility. I love the diverse range of abayas that can be dressed up or down for any occasion. The size inclusivity is genuinely commendable, and the customization option allowed me to create a one-of-a-kind piece.

Don't let their website fool you. This business takes your money and then argues afterwards about shipment delays, etc. The worst online experience I have ever had. A woman called Uzma Mubarak is a terrible, timewasting employee. She gives customers the run-around for weeks on end over order issues that can probably be resolved immediately. Even a request to be served by a manager at this company is never honoured by these people. Their awful service coupled with charges for India made clothes (sold at US prices) tells you a lot about their business antics. They are only in business to take people's money, not to issue refunds for their faults. A lawsuit would really teach them a very good lesson about customer service in the US.
