EasyBib

There are ~25 ads on one page. There are usually at least a few video ads, which slow down my computer and make the website slow as $#*!. This website is almost as useless as an electric outlet in a bathtub. I strongly recommend that you avoid it.

I've been trying to cite some websites for a paper I'm writing and it stays on the "your citation is loading page" and never actually creates it. Really disappointed, I've always used this website now I guess I have to find a different program to cite my stuff.

I used to use EasyBib for my citations in class but it never gives me the full citation for my assignment. It almost always has many empty spaces that you can easily find on the website yourself. I use EasyBib to make it easier and save time from actually having to hunt down my information from a cite but if EasyBib is only good for citing half of my information than I may as well do the entire citation myself. Thanks EasyBib!

This is the worst website I've ever encountered in my academic career. I've used EasyBib for years, and it somehow just keeps getting worse. It's so covered in ads that it takes twice as long to load than any other website. They force you to view videos and INTERACT with them simply to use their service. Even worse, the only format available for free anymore is MLA, making it inaccessible to those who have to use Chicago, APA, or any other format. On top of that, the subscription price is ridiculously high for such a terrible service- $10 a month! Find an alternative if you can.

This website is almost unusable nowadays. When I try to cite on my Chromebook using this website, it gives me several pop up add accompanied by 5 side ads. When I try to cite more than 2 sources, it also forces me to watch an "interactive" ad or pay $10 a month for this service. I am never using Easybib again.

It used to be a useful tool for my citations. But now Chegg really doesn't care. The page is always half covered with ads, and if you have an ad-blocker they make you turn it off to use the service. Then they make you take a survey and watch a 1 minute ad to continue citing.

So many ads that it takes the page several seconds to fully load them all, and every once in a while, the ads reload and you accidentally click on one because the content reshuffles itself on the page. Used to be good before Chegg bought it in 2015, but now I try to use any alternative.

Most companies upgrade, Chegg takes a new approach with EasyBib. Downgrade and make it nonfunctional. I use the word SleasyBib because that is just what the company has become. It is impossible to speak with anyone at the company because there is no phone number or functional links to support services. If I took money for taking peoples money without providing a service I would be in jail. Moreover, I was able to find a phone number for Chegg, but customer service could provide no helpful information. The operator actually said, "I don't use EasyBib so I don't know what you are talking about." I asked her if she could find someone who could help me and she replied, "Nobody here knows anything, we are customer service." I think that says it all.

I have been using Easybib since high school with no issue. But recently it seems like the site is very slow. It usually takes me five minutes to cite one page. What happened? It used to be fast and efficent, now its just slow and bad.

I used to use easy bib all the time, but now you cant do anything unless you sit through an un-skippable advert, and I've had the advertisements glitch out on me so I end up spending another 30 seconds watching it before I can click off of it. Can't do anything but MLA anymore without an account. Trash site that is starving for cash, don't go to their page and give them another penny.

As a school librarian, this was my go-to tool for sharing with an entire school of students. It had gotten progressively worse with the advertising until now it's just completely unusable. Honestly, I would be happy use some of my library budget for a school-wide pay version of Easybib without ads, but for some odd reason the company would rather make $9 from the few schmucks that are willing to pay for premium instead of bigger guaranteed bucks from schools. What a dumb business plan for a company with an educational tool. I wish I could have given zero stars. :(

This site used to be good in the sense of creating a reference page for my papers in MLA. However, now it's advertisement after advertisement just to do something that takes 1 minute at the most on other alternative sites. Oh, ready for the nail in the coffin? You have to pay $10 a month if you wanna create a reference page in anything besides MLA. Have a paper due tomorrow in APA and need to create a reference page? Great! $10! I'm sorry, but I'm a broke college student and I can do the same thing at citation machine for free and as many times as I want. Definitely stay away.

I use to use easybib when it was simple and ran smoothly no matter how many tabs I had open. Now even if its the only tab open it runs extremely slow, overheats my laptop, and jumps all around the page because it loads in four ads that are all different sizes at one time. I have been working on an essay with my citations saved in a list, it randomly bugged out and erased all my lists just because I did not have a publisher on the citation I was making.

This website has been around for ages and they have yet to make improvements. You can't even use the website without any problems being caused to your computer, especially the web browser. How do they expect people to pay a penny for this website. It's such a waste of time and effort.

Easybib used to be a tool where it was "Easy" to make bibliography and it went through the process without issue, and helped students learn how to do works cited, but now it had declines big time. Every time I've tried to enter the citation machine, it stops working and instead forces me to watch long useless ads for about 5 minutes. It's ridiculous, there's no skip feature, it forces you to watch the whole advertisement. Sorry Chegg, I don't care about your college election tracking or your Pro mode, I want to make a bibliography. It seems like Chegg has lost any respect for their users and instead use it as an opportunity to get some cash off some students who want to get work done and of high quality. Not to mention the site itself is atrocious, crammed and glitchy. This is 2020, coding a website isn't as advanced as it was. Looks like a site from 1998. I'm about to boycott this material is they really care about the money and nothing else.

EasyBib got me through my college days, but now adverts cover 3/4 of the page, making it nearly impossible to use and slowing the site down! And the fees they want for adless, $10/month for a site I use maybe once every two months? No thanks!

EasyBib Sucks! It's just like "Hey wanna know about a website?" "Okay, Sure." "Alright tell me about the website." "Oh bleep you!" It just gives you the SAME. EXACT. INFO. THAT. YOU. JUST. BLEEPIN PUT IN! They should also be sued for false advertising! They say it's easy, useful, fast and helpful! Change that p into an l than sure, I can agree! Even Satan is scared of this thing!

When a website is so $#*!ing terrible, that means it spends so much time on adds that it can't preform any other function. This website doesn't even work half the time, missing the publisher and date almost every time when citing a source as well as not even fully creating a citation and instead presenting you with a little $#*!ing "work cited" title. Do not use, do not let them get money, the creators of this deserve to starve and burn in hell.

All I need to do is make a simple bibliography to conclude a project. I get on EASYbib and end up spending more time trying to get the horrible website to work than I spent on my whole project. It is funny to me how a website with easy in the name can be the most difficult and time-consuming thing on the internet. I pray that I never have to use this garbage ever again.

I just needed MLA format for one citation and it kept stopping me from typing and then forcing me to make an account and sign up for the free trial. There were no exit buttons to leave and every time I pressed back or refresh it would pop up again. I used to really enjoy EasyBib but after this I don't think I'll use it again.

Easybib is always causing my computer problems. This website will cause my computer to freeze while I'm working on a project, or it will make it incredibly slow. This has happened to me multiple times with different computers. DO NOT USE EASYBIB, it will cause you more harm and frustration than good. There are other citation machines that work without nearly as many problems.

As you all probably know by now, EasyBib has become very ad heavy, forcing users to disable adblocks to use its service. I begrudgingly obliged, allowing the bombardment of ads to ensue. However, as I was trying to get a reference for an image, the site pushed me to some unidentified advertiser telling me my adobe was in need of update. My BS detectors went off immediately, and I closed the tab. WITHiN MINUTES, my antivirus (webroot) warned me that my computer had become infected... For the love of God, find an alternative source for references. F*ck this site.

EasyBib is basically the worst. It used to be a pleasurable service that was easy, but now the pages are littered with ads, and worst of all, the videos. These are videos that claim to give you 48 hours of uninterrupted access, but it's really more like 3. And in those 3 hours, there are still tons of ads all around the border of the page, slowing down the speed of my computer and covering content. Most of the time, those ads are identical. After Chegg bought EasyBib, it has become a terrible citing website. The citing itself is the same, but the overall quality of the website has gone down drastically.
