I bought a MotherLode Medium 13 years ago and have made 2-3 trips per year internationally. I love its clamshell design with a hard and soft side which easily holds all my stuff, plus a couple of exterior pockets for things you need to store or retrieve while in transit. But after 13 years, the main zipper started to come apart at the bottom. Contacted eBags, sent requested info and pics, and got a new one of same model. Can't beat that!

I've been an eBags customer for a number of years. Always had previous (before COVID) great experiences with them. But eBags has gone downhill. * When you place an order, the tracking status on the eBags site will not correspond to the tracking status on UPS * In fact the tracking number eBags gives isn't even a valid number on the UPS site. * The tracking status page on eBags dot com says my order will be delivered yesterday. It's not here and UPS doesn't know. * There's no customer support -- there's no number to call and the chat function on the webpage doesn't work. I sent an email to eBags -- since that seems to be the only way to talk to them, and all you get is a form letter in reply that says, "our team is experiencing higher than normal volume due to the peak shopping season." Really? March is peak shopping time?

I do love the variety of choices ebags has, however some of the prices are just ridiculous. $188 for a crossbody bag? I guess certain brands just run that high, but I would hope for more of a discount on this site.

Know their return policy. I purchased a gift for my daughter that was Patagonia. From the shipping time until it was opened was 35 days. Their return policy is 30 days and would not let me exchange. I asked to speak to a manager and apparently they cannot transfer calls. How convenient. A manager has yet to return my call. What a joke! I will never purchase anything from this company and will make it well known! I *******@Patagonia knows how they are being represented (poorly)!

Very poor service - they sent my package back without even contacting me (why would they require the phone number and email?) because there were "problems" with my shipping address (there were none...) I called them when got suspicious about the missing package. I had to cancel the delivery because I needed the package for a certain day - I am traveling. The lady on the phone confirmed my cancellation; the next thing - I got an email from eBags telling me that my order would arrive... the day after my departure... So disappointed...

Stay away from Ebags! I ordered a men's clutch, and did not like it. It took three emails and a full week to get a return authorization. On top of that they are charging $9.99 for return postage. Couple that with the original shipping, and it costs almost $20.00 to look at a product!

Bought a luggage set and was given a delivery date for it. Once it passed that date i call ups to find out they never received the shipment. Then contact ebags who finally called me back to tell that it's out of stock and won't ship. All they could say is that they could refund my money and that's it. Meanwhile I have an upcoming trip and no luggage and nobody would have told about this had I not called. They received payment for an order they said will not ship. Horrible customer service.

We purchased two sets of Fortis Hardside Spinners. My husbands large suitcase has a zipper problem. So, he's been using the carry-on and will have to use our old suitcase for checked baggage. We bought these early for an upcoming trip and it's no longer covered by the 30 day return policy.

I fully trust ebags. It is a great company. I have ordered two bags from here. My first order my bag came in and it was new and in great shape, not used at all comparing to other reviews... My second order there were some technical difficulties but customer services figured it out and fixed it.

I ordered a bag from eBags.com for an airplane carryon because of the description and reviews. It came quickly but was much smaller inside than I expected so I returned it. They were very good about accepting the return, but the process was very expensive. It cost $14 for the return shipping and handling. I would have gotten part of that money back if I purchased another item--the amount would have been applied to the new purchase. I thought this was way too expensive & will not be purchasing from eBags.com again. It was order number ******* by way of proof that this was my actual experience.

Purchased a carry on bag on Sunday (3/3) to be delivered on
Wednesday (3/6) for an upcoming trip leaving on Friday. I received an
Email on Tuesday (3/5) stating that the bag I ordered and paid for was

Wow. In a day and age that you can buy a mattress and use it for months to see if you like it, this company will not let you try their bag and return it if you aren't happy with the product. I purchased the TLS Mother Lode Weekender Convertible backpack and used it for a weekend trip, where I realized I hated it. Despite being a backpack, it's too big for a carry-on. It literally doesn't fit in the overhead compartment of an airplane and I had to check it. It's not even remotely water resistant, as it was in the rain for a very short period of time and all my clothes were wet. When I tried to ask about returning it after my trip, within the 30-day window, they let me know that it must have all the tags on it and can't be accepted by the warehouse if used. Apparently, a quality product and customer service don't rank high on this company's list of things that are in their core values.

Received the wrong item three times. They were aware of the issue and took no steps to insure I was sent the correct item. The worst company I've ever dealt with on the internet! Total incompetence from the shipping dept. to customer service.

I bought a bag for my wife on here. It was exactly what she wanted and what I ordered. The only thing I disliked about the site was that I found it very hard to just simply browse the site to see what the offered. There was so much to go through. Definitely will not knock off a star for that though. I'd order from them again.

I ordered a bag. It lasted one trip only, one wheel got damaged. I was in Malaysia, with no way to return it within 60 days. Ebags told me to approach the manufacturer. After some unhappy emails, they gave me a refund of ten, I bought the bag for thirty. It was not hardy. Most unhappy.

I returned a suitcase and received their confirmation by text that it had been delivered to eBags on Aug. 25,2023 and a refund was being processed and would be posted in 10-14 business days. It is now Sept. 28 and I still haven't seen the refund. On Sept. 18 I called eBags and they said the refund was being processed that day and I would see it posted on my acct. In a day or 2. Still haven't seen it though when I called today, eBags said that is shows that the refund was processed Sept. 18.
I use to buy from eBags a lot and they were always great. This just so disappointing!

Holy cow. I returned an item and couldn't find anything I wanted so I asked for my money back. No, they won't give my money back unless I buy something and, by the way, your credit expires. That's right. YOUR money expires after a period of time and they just keep it. This may be the most unethical garbage I've dealt with in a long time. Absolutely beware purchasing anything from these clowns.

A friend recommended eBags to me. I wish that I had seen all the reviews on this website before I ordered a bag. The bag I ordered is very nice, but the bag's interior isn't big enough for what I need so I'm trying to return it. There is no customer service number so I have sent 4 emails and haven't received a response. I have tried 4 times to initiate the return online, but the "online return center" link redirects me to an order locator page. When I enter in my information it says that the suitcase hasn't shipped yet - even though I received it last week. Because it shows that I haven't received my bag yet, I can't start the return process. If I'm still getting the run around in 2 weeks, I'm going to contact the consumer investigative division of a local news station that helps to get people's money back. We'll see how that goes.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site. It appears that they make it impossible to return your purchase.

I bought a backpack almost 3 months ago and never received my package!
They said that was delivered, unfortunately not for me!
The customer service keeps saying my ticket is under investigation and at the end I spent my money and never got the product! Never again!

I ordered blue, received purple. Contact them to exchange, but they said I'd have to return and re-order. And the return credit could take 2 billing cycles to show on my card. They were out of blue, so I couldn't re-order anyway. So I still returned that purple, then they charged me for shipping, unless it was their fault they said. What? Wrong color isn't there fault. I'd ordered "blue" to match something, not that "purple" stuff they sent.

You are better off buying from a store that has a return policy that does not limit u to 30 days. I got stuck with a unused Tumi bag that was supposed to hold a 13 inch computer and did not and they would not switch it to a more expensive backpack.

They say they have a lifetime guarantee, but it's been a month since I submitted one and they have never even responded to tell me they would or wouldn't honor it. Also they only ship UPS which is the worst shipping service available.

This company is a joke, i waited eleven days for a bag, called UPS and found that the item is not in their hands yet. No email from e bags no call nothing. Canceled the order and guess what, they can't give a confirmation number on the cancellation. To bad for you, guess they can give you man order number and take your money, but that's it. Do NOT buy from them.

I ordered a bag and it was supposed to be delivered yesterday. Today I get the shipment with the other item but no bag. They have no idea where it is! They have to request status from warehouse and that will take 1-2 days to get a status! I cancelled the order because I can't have it arriving a week late when I am not home. Ordered replacement from Amazon and paid more. Tried to return the other item (which I only ordered to get free shipping) but they want a $4.95 restocking fee.

I used ebags.com for the first time, when ordering my sister's birthday present. I was a little leery to try the site out, but after seeing how detailed their descriptions were, I decided to try it. I received the package in the time they stated, and it was exactly how they described. Needless to say, my sister LOVED her bag, and now uses it in place of the bag that she was attached to. It was a great experience, and I will use them again. The only downside, is that they don't have as big of a selection as I would like.

I purchased a backpack and matching roller bag as a Christmas gift. The receipt kept the roller bag but didn't like the backpack. I suggested they find one they liked somewhere else while I returned the one from Ebags. As someone else said - when you attempt to initiate a refund online - the status says "not yet delivered" which prevents you from starting the refund process. After literally dozens of emails since December 25 explaining that I could not initiate a refund - I finally got a response telling me to go online to initiate a refund! I am not happy that I am out $175, plus the cost of the replacement backpack. Not to mention the quality is very cheap! I could never get that price trying to see it. I'll probably just donate it! In the meantime I will spread the word to warn everyone via social media.

Awful service. I ordered Tumi bags. The website popped up an offer asking me if I wanted FREE monogramming. I chose the selection, spent a bit of time deciding how and what I wanted and ordered.

The bags showed up with blank patches and when I contacted customer service, their response, multiple times was "not all bags can be monogrammed".

The crazy thing is that I would not have even thought about monogramming at the time if their website had not offered it on BOTH of these pieces.

I took the luggage to the Tumi store and had them monogrammed. Customer service was poor and they offered nothing for the inconvenience and simply held to their "not all bags can be monogrammed" response rather than apologizing specifically for their offer that did not apply.

I will not be ordering from eBags again.
