I was looking for a discontinued faucet in Brass and eFaucets.com was the only place that had 2 left In Stock. I ordered. Got 4 days later. My customer is very happy and will definitely use these guys again. Frank C.
Sorry about the rating; these people don't deserve the one star. Although I have read several good reviews obviously these people have not had to deal with customer service. Learned my lesson. Followed instructions for return to the "T" and what did I get. "Nothing". And I mean nothing. Been forty working days, yep that's about two months and still nothing. Each phone call makes me think it's a government operation. Trying to work through my credit card company now. Since I've had my problems I seem to be finding all kinds of negative comments; can't believe I missed them. Feel like an idiot.
Worst on-line shopping experience ever. The product pictured wasn't anything like what was received. Still working on the return - almost 2 months after receiving. Stay away from this company.
My experience seems par for the course it seems.
Ordered bathtub on 12/23/2013. Page said "ships in 3-10 days".
They charged my card right away ($1000 tub.)
After 1 month they have still not shipped. I emailed 2 days ago to cancel order but they told me they are unable to cancel "special order items." (nowhere was I told this was a special order item.) and that it's "probably already on the truck".
They also tell me it was my fault for not clicking the "check availability" link on the product page, and if I did cancel, they were still going to charge me a hefty restocking fee.
Unacceptable, and It's sad that merchants like this still exist. It seems their business model is centered around providing poor service, not delivering what is promised, and charging "restocking fees".
Tips for folks that run into similar situation:
1. Know your rights as a consumer: http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0219-disputing-credit-card-charges
2. Let your credit card company do the dirty work for you. Call them up and file a dispute if you've been charged and no goods received after promised delivery date. Also a good idea to request a block on future charges from eimprovements.com and/or efaucets.com
One of the worst online retailers I've ever dealt with. I ordered a sink on July 1st, and I needed it relatively quickly so I paid about $40 for 2-day shipping. Their website said, "Usually Ships Within 3-7 Business Days," so after about 5 or 6 days I made a call to check on the status of the sink. They said it was out of stock and would take 1-2 additional weeks to ship. I asked them about the 3-7 business day promise, and they said that was just a guess; I should have sent them an e-mail and asked for an exact shipping date.
The story gets even better. The next day I called to cancel the order, and they said they would submit the cancellation request. 10 days later they send me another e-mail letting me know they couldn't cancel and the sink would be on its way to my house.
The wonderful thing about their company is that no matter what you say to the customer service rep, they respond by telling you what you did wrong and why it is your fault instead of their fault. Their motto seems to be, "the customer is always wrong."
Luckily I disputed the transaction through my credit card company, so I hopefully won't get stuck with a piece of scrap metal.
EFaucets is the most fraudulent, exploitive vendor of any kind that we have ever dealt with. We ordered from eFaucets because they were offering for sale a particular Grohe valve trim that was out of stock at other merchants. We also ordered the valve. When the parcel arrived, the valve was in it but the trim wasn't. Of course they charged to our credit card the price of both what they could provide and what they could not. The valve is useless without the trim piece, but now they insist on nicking us a 20% "restocking fee" upon its return. They claim further that the relevant web page for the trim piece stated "Check Availability," and that it's our fault we did not. However, there was no such advice, nor is there now, three weeks later.
What we have here is a variant of the Brooklyn Bridge scam. They sold us the bridge that was not theirs to sell, supplied one part that they could access but none of the rest, and now they want a "restocking fee" for the return of the one part that's useless without the other. Nice work, if you can get it, like naked shorting on Wall Street. What can we do to stop such leeches? There are at least 500 eFaucets victims protesting on the Web right now -- enough to form a club.
The eFaucet web site advertises Satisfaction Guaranteed, 30 Return Policy. This is the picture you see just below the item you wish to order. I placed an order for two bathroom fans. Unfortunately, I missed a trailing letter on the model number and did not receive the humidity sensing fans I wanted. I contacted Customer Service to request an exchange (which the new fans would actually cost me more money) and they told me that those items were not returnable. I told them the site advertises 30 return policy, but the representative told me to scroll to the bottom of the page where it indicates no Parts or replacement parts are returnable. These were parts, they were whole appliances! If they considered an entire fan unit a part, than nothing is really returnable. I asked to speak to their manager, and they told me there was no one else I could speak to. I can; t believe they would not even consider a return for a new order which they would receive more money! Now I have two fans which I really did not want and no way to change them!
Kohler part was difficult to find item and was one of the lowest price on the web, and was delivered promptly at no charge. Cannot ask for more than that!
I ordered $4000 of bathroom fixtures from eFaucets.com for several bathrooms. I ordered, they shipped, everything seemed ok. So I kept giving them business. And then this happened.
Their website had a listing for a $700 shower door, the picture was of the door I wanted but the item # was for a different door. How am I supposed to know the model #? When I received the door, I complained about the website and delivered door not being what was pictured and ordered the correct door while I waited for them to give me return info which took them a full week. I received the new door and installed it and still didn't have return information.
When I finally got return information they wanted me to pay $450 to return ship the door (which I paid $50 to ship to me) plus a 15% restocking fee (another $105). Of course the door originally came from a city near me but they wanted it "returned" to the other side of the country.
I again complained to efaucets.com that this was because the website was incorrect and that now it had been fixed demonstrating that was wrong. After waiting another 2 weeks for a decision, they informed me the website was correct and they would offer me no relief. Effectively I could get back $145 of the $750 I had spent.
The service was excellent. Got what i wanted. However, the product was defective. The return and replacement process was good. New faucet installed and working very nicely.
HORRIBLE IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT! First the shipping took forever, 2nd I called iBEFORE receiving the item for a refund and after calling 3 times and waiting 25 minutes on hold thought I was getting a refund, but know I'm told I MUST WAIT until the item arrives, then a week later I received the item, wait another 33 minutes on hold to be told that they do not refund replacement items. What the hell is a replacement item? ANYTHING THEY DECIDED IS A REPLACEMENT ITEM. I want to return an UNOPENED ITEM but NO WAY with this terrible company. STAY CLEAR OF THEM and pay SLIGHTLY more and you will receive your item faster and with an ability to return an unused item days after purchase!
NO REFUND ISSUED ON CANCELED ORDER! I ordered a bathroom vanity 11/04/13 and canceled it 11/05/13 as it was not in stock. Still no refund to my credit card for $601. This company took my money and did not provide any merchandise. They stole from me by not issuing a refund to my credit card. Uncaring rep in customer service told me she would send a 'reminder' to the correct dept and I would have a refund in 3-10 days. When I asked why I didn't have a refund in nearly two months was told "I don't know, I don't work in that department." Dishonest, criminals... STAY AWAY AND DON'T ORDER FROM E FAUCETS.COM. Nice looking website that will rob you blind.
I was extremely pleased with the way eFaucets handled my order, it was fast and well packed. No complaints here!
Tip for consumers:
Call in to sales if you have questions about availability. most products have inventory displaying, but i always call just to verify.
I ordered a valve on E faucet's website and paid with pay pal. When i went to confirm, the screen went blank. I tried again the next day and the same thing occurred. I checked my account balances over the next two days after there were no transactions. I called their 1-800 number and placed an order for the valve over the phone with a credit card. That valve arrived 2 days later and was as described on the website. I installed that valve the next day. It worked perfectly. The day after the installation 2 valves show up on my front porch delivered by UPS. When i checked my account there were 2 withdrawals from pay pal for the 2 previously ordered but not confirmed valves. I tried over the next 4 weeks to return those two valves each week calling their customer service. They sent out a return label to the wrong email address. I called and gave them the correct e-mail they said they would send another one. They did and they told me i had 3 days to set it up with all the paperwork they requested and UPS would pick it up. UPS came that day. We missed him and he left a slip on the door saying he would try to pick it up over the next two days. No more slips and no UPS man. I called customer service 3 more times trying to rectify the situation and they kept promising to send more return labels. None came. I finally filed a pay pal dispute and did receive my money back after I paid for the return shipping for the valves which either e-faucet or pay pal screwed up the order on. It is unlikely i will order from them again due to the difficult return policy, bad customer service and undependable online order system.
Good experience with eFaucets. Shipment was on time and was very pleased with the quality of the Kohler products. Faucet, sink tub.
False advertising on products, what you see as the item price you choose appears as a different price in your cart.
Ordering item on website was a simple process. Item was delivered shorty after order, no issues. Whole process went smoothly.
Follow up after an order is terrible. I was forewarned by other bad reviews I'd read, and I hesitated but eventually decided to give them a try, lured mainly by low costs. Based on their online info on item availability and shipping times I placed an order for several items I needed for a renovation a few weeks before. Most of the order arrived in good time thankfully, but one item didnt, even though it showed as being available and ready to ship within a few days online. When it didn't come with the first delivery I called and was told it was 2-3 wks backordered, so I requested a cancellation and ordered a replacement elsewhere.
Despite several calls, emails, chats with online staff over 3 wks, nobody seemed to be able to cancel this item, even though several said they'd look into it. Information I got on the actual status of the item seemed fuzzy, even suspect. One email I got from a CSR indicated that she could not cancel delivery of the item because "it is already in transit to our warehouse." Not my residence, mind you; the WAREHOUSE. What does that mean? You haven't even received it yet, so you can't cancel it? This was not a non-returnable or no-cancellation item by the way--just no one seemed sure of how to do it. Last Customer Service rep kept me several minutes on phone, fumbling and repeating, "i'm sending this email to the warehouse to find out what's going on." Seemed positively relieved when i told her to call/contact me with whatever resolution she figured out, but that i was not going to call anymore. Item was less than $10, so not worth my more of my time. I decided not to bother either with trying to return it once it finally arrived, given the hassle I had trying to cancel it. But this was my first time ordering from e-faucets and in a sense, my litmus test of whether i'd order again. Well, never again. If I have that much trouble for $10, dare I risk more? Since I find detailed online reviews helpful myself decided I'd place a review on a few sites--perhaps this might be helpful to another potential buyer.
Order a Blanco sink ******* on 10/07 after 3 calls to find out why same sink was
Iisted with 3 different sku #s and 2 different prices. My order was 1 of 3 new in box return items discounted over $100. After being assured the sink would arrive in perfect condition or I could return it... and get a replacement in short order... I made the $404 purchase. Sink arrived 10/11. Here were no sink brackets or a template in the manufacture'a box, sink in new condition. Per efaucets instructions I called to return as incomplete/damages. The customer service rep told me it would take no time to get the template and brackets. It took 3 1/2 weeks... during which time Iconstantly called to the obtain status of the items. Attempted to return within the 30 limit because I was still missing the template... they wouldn't allow an incomplete/damaged return because the replacement parts were on order.
I waited a month to get what I bought to be usable. It finally boiled down to... I had to have sink before they got the parts delivered or hold up my building schedule. Now I have a $404 sink that will cost me $194 to ship back. Aren't you so happy for me that they waived the $$80.80 restocking fee?
NEVER USE EFAUCETS IF YOU NEED A PRODUCT IN A TIMELY MANNER OR IF THERE IS ANY CHANCE YOU MAY TO RETURN IT. YOU WILL GET STUCK WITH A HUGE RETURN BILL OR AN UNUSABLE PRODUCT. DONT DO IT. SHOP AMAZON!
Tip for consumers:
Don't use them... order elsewhere
I ordered a sliding shower bar and hand held shower set on a Sunday. Realizing within 10 minutes from placing the order that it wasn't the part I needed, I called back immediately to cancel order.
I was told "we can't process cancellations on the weekend but call on Monday morning and they will help you." Sounded fishy to me, but I called early Monday morning, spoke to "Trina" in customer service. After explaining situation, she put me on hold for 5 minutes to "check to see if the order was already processed". She came back and said it was "on the dock" and I couldn't cancel it.
I told her I'd refuse it when it came, that this was ridiculous, since I called within 10 minutes of placing the order! She said (rudely) to be prepared to pay a 30% restocking fee if I refused the order.
So it was not actually shipped until 2 days later (according to tracking received). I had to call UPS while item was in transit, and tell them NOT to deliver this item--to just RETURN TO SENDER, which they did, and was signed for by back at efaucets. You'd think a refund would be forthcoming at that point, but NO... I had to dispute with credit card company, who contacted efaucets and was assured I'd get a full refund--they STILL tried to charge a 15% restocking fee and 30% "refusal fee" even though I intercepted the item while in transit, and never received it!
What a waste of hours of time on the phone with these people. NEVER EVER BUY FROM THEM--and read the fine print. And don't even TRY to cancel your order! Apparently they are in the business of making money from restocking and refusal fees, not from selling product. Don't always let the low prices fool you--if they seem too good to be true, they probably are.
I was very satisfied with my purchased and the immediacy the product was in my hands.
Thank you!
Shipping was very fast, and free! Everything was as stated online. Couldn't ask for more.
