* The editors are 100% in control. There is no oversight of them. They can reject your release for any reason... literally maybe an editor is just in a bad mood that day, or for some reason they personally don't like the content of your release. They can and will kill it. In my case, they said my release violated their policies, and when I wrote them back with a detailed explanation of why their decision had been made in error, they did not address the original issue at all but instead came up with a completely new reason to reject it! A reason that ISN'T listed in their policies btw.
* There is no appeal process. The editors make the decisions they make, and even when those decisions are 100% illogical or they are making up 'policies' on the fly, there is NOTHING you can do about it.
* Their customer service is abysmal. If you can get somebody, all you accomplish is wasting more of your time. Editors hold the power... what's some random CS person on the phone going to do about it? Spoiler alert: NOTHING. They will do nothing.
AVOID EIN PRESSWIRE
Ein sends your press release to a lot of sites they own which are just news release aggregators.
They sent mine to places where they were not findable on search engines! In other words, EIN sends releases to sites which throw them as a link, into dark closets, some not even searchable! You;ll NEVER get on the front pages of the EIN customer base.
I'd pay about $15 to do it again, not more. Their $500 basic package for five releases is an absolute absurdity.
