I don't understand. All of the reviews are from years ago. Right now, I'm using Emerald, and it's been awesome, so far! In fact, I'm having so much fun meeting new friends (especially during COVID). It doesn't have those pesky bots and neverending recaptcha. There will always be people using the platform for the wrong reasons but I've never had any issues when reporting someone. The support is pretty responsive, and the mods are very helpful. I am so glad they have human mods, too! Nothing beats the human touch in this AI-driven world. Overall, I'm honestly having fun!

Emerald Chat is my go-to platform for late-night conversations when I can't sleep. I've met some amazing individuals here, and the anonymity makes it easy to open up. It's a great place to share thoughts and feelings with strangers who often turn into friends.

In early 2022(after most of these negative reviews were written) the site was sold by the original creator/owner 'Callan' and a new team of admins and devs have taken over the site for the past year and a bit.

In this time the site has undergone many feature additions and overall bug fixes and quality of life improvements for the site. A big improvement was to the karma system that was regularly exploited by disgruntled users who intended in sexuaI convo but didn't recieve, and also people who had experience in coding that created scripts that mass flooded peoples karma count, instantly banning them.

The exploits got fixed but also the ability to be banned for long periods of time through karma, is a removed feature all together and isn't something that needs to be worried about anymore, karma is now just an indicator how the general community views the behavior of a user. Instead of karma, the site now has moderators again to control bans and it helps with alot of issues the site faced like inappropriate profile picture uploads (the AI photo recognition was a joke and never worked) but now they are manually approved by mods to control the abuse.

The bottom line is that Callan was a terrible site owner and definitely had a lack of knowledge in what was required to be a fair site that doesn't $#*! people over and there money. These new admins and devs deserve a chance and if you read this, I urge you to give emerald a try and not let these past negative reviews influence your decision. I really do think emerald is in a place to overtake omegle if it just had more public recognition.

I am clicking cancel membership and is not allowing me to do it, such a scam, fortunately I could just cancel my card and get a new one, stay away from those scammers!

This site is by far the most frustrating chat site ive seen. One, their $#*!ty alien robot advanced tony stark AI doesnt do $#*!, ive tested sending nsfw photos to myself and not one was filtered. Then the format. The format is so obvious that its a copy of discord x reddit x omegle. They dont even try to hide it. Also why isnt there a report system? Like karma is so easy to abuse, why dont you just have a report system and 24/7 moderation. Hell, ill be a mod to do this. Then the amount of pedos. Im 15 so i put teen. Then i see people with like "m35" names and and for asl. I only got one screenshot (below) but theres a lot, just set your interests to get it. Then the fact that they rule the site is even worse. The group chat is less horny, but way more toxic too. And i have normal conversations too, dont get me wrong, but its so rare and right after we go back to horny $#*!s. I dont know why this sites staff--especially the owner--are such idiotic and moronic stupid furry $#*!ing goddamn $#*! $#*!ting $#*!-sucking sack packing cesspool of the most $#*!ed grouping of people. Omegle has WAY less horny people and thats bad. The mods dont even go online at all, theyre always offline grooming some 13 year old girl. I dont recommend this site to anyone unless you wanna troll some horny people. This site is extremely toxic, horny, low effort, and probably got it set up by some dude on fiverr.

This app has a lot of potential for friends and bored people looking for friends. The only problem I have is that I personally get banned when I didn't do anything. Sure, people can get banned for sharing explicit content, but sometimes they get banned for skipping. When I SKIP, I only skip because either that person is trolling, sharing adult content/nudity, or afk. Another thing is to please make a system r something to keep people from trolling and giving out negative karma for the hell of it just to get people banned.

This website is some sort of weird hub of sexual predators and grooming victims. Not really much else to say! Owners need to be investigated. Stay away.
