Easy-but the program is hard. Never has the product number that I am trying to enter. I just order my stuff through email and it works wonders. Also, I've had great customer service with those who work there.
We received an electronic deadbolt that was brand new. Put it on the customers door and it was faulty. Customer didn't want another Emtek lock and decided to go with a different brand. I'm not happy wasting our and our customers time.
Excellent customer service, which includes good listeners and ready to help the customers with all they needs
We are an interior design firm specifying Emtek cabinet & door hardware and accessories. Always a great experience.
Their turn around time is quick and the customer service is great to deal with.
We purchased over 30 door hardware sets of various designs and styles for our home. Most of them are falling apart after about 6 months. The manner in which the knob attaches is one of the worst designs I have seen. There is a very small allen screw that simply will not hold the knob on. All of them are falling off. We wasted thousands of dollars on this garbage.
8 years ago I purchased 2 sets of Wilshire tubular entry sets (item 4221 plus two dummies for inactive doors), two other single cylinder entry sets, and 24 hinges, all were in satin nickel finish. Everything arrive quickly, looked fine and were professionally installed on new doors. Within two years the hinges with the most exposure had rusted totally, by 4 years the thumb lever on one door was completely worn down to the base metal. The outside exposed levers are all showing ware to the base metal. Recently an interior part of an active entry set broke, so I can only use the dead bolt.
The hardware I replaced worked fine, I just wanted to replace 30 year old fixtures when putting in new doors.
These were not inexpensive items, and should have lasted much longer.
You're better off getting a cheap brand that will work. Extremely overpriced for how unreliable they are. Even if you think the door is latched its probably not. One of the handles is so bad it needs to be in just the right position or it won't even try to latch. Just all around garbage
Hi Justin, I am so sorry to hear this. Were you able to connect with Customer Service? If you are having an issue with a specific latch, we'd love to help you diagnose the issue and get it replaced ASAP. If you have a chance, please shoot me a note at amy.switzer@assaabloy.com along with an image of said lever, and I would be happy to try to get this resolved for you with a necessary replacement part of a new lever. Please let me know if you have any questions.
We ordered EMTEK handles for our house. Every one was tarnished. They replaced the original order with satin brass but the install is a NIGHTMARE. Every handle is loose, the closet doors that shouldnt move...do! Had the rep out and they say its about the allen wrench and not lining up. Thats a load of CRAP! I moved in 11/6/23. We still have no resolution. We arent paying our builder until this is corrected so He is not happy. STAY AWAY FROM EMTEK. PRODUCT IS AWFUL AND SERVICE IS WORSE
Tip for consumers:
This company sucks. Slow at service and No resolution.

All experience has been positive. Every order arrives complete and on time.
We have been installing Emtek on homes for our customers for about 6 months now and there has been issues with every single order. Wrong finish was sent, not once, not twice, but 3 times. Finally got the product installed for our customer and it wasn't working correctly. We sent it back, installed the new one and it still didn't work correctly. We lost that client and had to give them a full refund so we lost money on the work we put into it. We installed a handle set and it latch wasn't retracting all the way so we needed to return it. We have had multiple issues with customer service reps being rude to us and not allowing us to speak to a manager. We were finally able to speak to upper management and were told that our experiences were not typical, but after reading these reviews, it appears they are! So I've decided to share our experience too.

Hi M.H.,
I am so sorry to hear this was your experience. Without additional insight into the specific instances of errors you mentioned, I do want to note that Emtek does not sell directly. We require our dealers to ensure they are submitting the correct details on your order-- and when we do make a mistake, we try our best to take ownership on any issues until we get it right. Would you mind emailing me some additional details about the exchange process and your experience with our CS team so I can try to remedy these issues? I would be looking to understand who you may have spoken with in Customer Service, who the original dealer was, what some of the more technical details were on the product mistakes etc.
Please email me at inquiries@emtek.com. I hope you can give us an opportunity to re-earn your business.
Thank you for your time and your feedback.

I bought all my hardware for my new house from Emtek. It is over the limited warranty, but I contacted them when everything was still under warranty. One very expensive Electronic Handle has never worked and I've had multiple installers out to try and fix. Emtek will not help at all, even though I have had this trouble from beginning and was in touch with them a couple of years ago. Spoke to someone at Emtek who basically told me I am out of luck, the item is discontinued, and a replacement would be more than double what I paid for it 5 years ago. I will NEVER buy or recommend Emtek again!

MRS SYLVIA IS MY FAVORITE EMTEK ASSOCIATE, SHE IS ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH AND MY SUNSHINE ON A CLOUDY DAY :)
I have been selling Emtek for many years and I always have satisfied customers.
The acknowledgement reflects the purchase order. The process went smoothly and accurately.
Stephanie the customer service rep was extremely helpful!
She knows her stuff.
We purchased the Emtek 5312 MODERN RECTANGULAR LOCKSET for our remodel based on what I thought to be numerous positive reviews and the modern design.
Unfortunately the external handle/lever has turned out to be a 'sloppy' engineering design as can be seen from the attached video clip. My requests for an explanation from Emtek's customer service dept. was "...All of our key in levers/knobs have play on the base of the style due to the design of the unit, not a flaw...".
The amount of play on the external handle set doesn't exist on European designed and manufactured locksets based on all my travels. Next time I will purchase the better quality which apparently only exist in the old school European built locksets.

I am stuck with keeping the Emtek #5312 door set since it costs me $270.
I purchased a very expensive door entry lock system from Emtek. The lever mechanism on the inside keeps breaking. They use these nylon bushings when they assemble the unit that crush and wear out causing the return spring of the lever to hang down and eventually not open the door. I called them the first time and they sent me a plastic bag of parts to rebuild the lever assembly myself. Im a dentist. I had to call someone in to rebuild it for me. It lasted a month. Now the lever mechanism is held in place by a snap ring. The groove that the snap ring locks into broke off. The repairman said to call them and order a new lever handle. I did, They said I would have to pay for it and when they received the broken part back, They would credit me back the money. That was $68. They sent me the wrong part. So I called them and told them. They apologized and told me to return the wrong part and they would return my $68 upon receiving the part. Now they want me to pay them $238 to send me the right part and they will return my money when they get the defective part back. So now it cost me $306 and I still dont have an entrance door that works. And this is all under warranty. Why do I have to pay for parts under warranty? I told them, "I'll send you back the wrong parts you sent me and you can return my $68 and you can take the right part and shove it. Stay away from this product. This stuff looks nice but is made of junk. The workings are all made of pot metal. Real junk. I called in a local locksmith who told me he never uses Emtek. For $250 he installed a beautiful Schlage lock system. Problem solved. Check out reviews of Emtek before you make a purchase, then dont.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from Emtek

If it were possible I would have given them ZERO stars.
10+ years ago I built my home and used EMTEK's Durango bronze levers (interior and exterior door handles) throughout. SeveraI of them started BREAKING. In today's world does anyone expect that a door handle that costs $130 - $150 per set (I bought dozens) should last less than say 25 to 30 years? I certainly do not.
So, I called EMTEK's customer service because on their website it states that they provide a Limited Lifetime warranty. The CSR told me that the Limited Lifetime warranty only applies to products purchased since April 2012. Anything purchased prior to April of 2012 had only a 5 year warranty. When I asked them to provide me with that warranty they declined saying that it was my responsibility to keep the warranty slip that came with the product.
EMTEK's solution was for me to buy their replacement product. RIGHT! I am just about to spend more money on a product that does not last and that is produced by a company that does not stand behind their products.
The bottom line is that EMTEK does not stand behind their product and their product is CRAP.
