In a marketing gimmick we were told we had won $500 for just considering a water treatment system. No details on the $500. And then when we tried to collect, no replies to queries.

This company has turned to a scam tactic of making it impossible to cancel the membership. They billed my card AGAIN this year now for $25 for a membership I have been trying to cancel since last year. The only way to contact them is through a webpage request that leaves you no proof you have ever submitted anything. Nobody ever reaches back. When I sign into my account it says "no active subscription" on file. Then how is that I am billed every year? I just got a reimbursement from my Amex card and they blocked them! They cannot charge my card anymore thank goodness!

We purchased the digital coupon service. I used to buy the books. I don't know what has happened but 6 companies in a row said they did not authorize or take these coupons. That is pure fraud. I've canceled my service and will be monitoring to make sure they don't continue to charge me. It took forever to figure out how to cancel- they don't make it easy. Don't waste your time with this service!

I have purchased this book for as long as I can remember. I usually wait until they're on sale with free shipping. I just got the 2020 version for $5 and I don't even know if I will recoup that amount with this lousy version. It's about one fifth the size of the previous versions. I will never buy this again. The seller should be ashamed.

Good luck finding enough deals to even break even on the subscription. They renew 2 months before it ends so you won't be able to cancel timely. They offer no phone number for problems. The app is a ripoff to me.

After many years, I believe it's time for Entertainment Book to close their doors! They have resorted to building in an auto-renew program. I had no clue that in Feb of 2019 when I tried their program that they had conveniently enrolled me in an auto-renew program. Without notice, they charged me $30. I am notified every time a charge is placed on my card, so I immediately tried to contact them. Of course, they no longer offer phone service. So I sent an email requesting a refund. But of course, they had already shipped my book. So now I have to send the book back at my cost, jump through some hoops, etc. to get my $30.00 refunded. Go F8ck Yourself Entertainment Book. You can keep the $30 you stole from me, and I will blast the F**K out of your POS company.

This book used to be a good deal. I have signed up for the annual renewal but now the book is not the same... it has about 20% of what the book used to have. It's junk now. Plus they have cut out all of their phone customer service, so everything is done by email. Don't buy this book now... it is no longer a bargain, and their service stinks.

They are now stealing money from me. No way to contact them and cancel my subscription. I used to give these as gifts and now I'm so disappointed in this company. Shame on you! Cancel my subscription! Please!

Once they take your credit card number they auto renew every year. I have been scammed and did not know it until my credit card flashed an email that a charged had been placed. Yes I had purchased it the year before and was in an automatic renewal until 2099! Its a shell game that is criminal!. Try and get a refund you have to do it 5 days before this renewal date. The year I had it was pathetic the list of restaurants used 3 times. What a rip off!

My credit card was charged due to the auto renewal policy. I didn't want the book but it came anyway and there was no phone no. To call just an email. I finally returned the book enclosing all necessary forms using a label they sent me and after all the pain, i never received a credit for my $65CAD as they say they never received my nook back! Never again will i buy their book, worst customer service ever!

Every year, they have less and less coupons. Also, the coupon values decrease. This year did it for me after 12 years of using this book, im done. If I want to use any coupons, my drive time will be 45 mins or more, one way. Really? These books are exclusive to the area u purchase them for, that's the point. Well, the canton book offers Cleveland, youngstown and Pennsylvania coupons almost entirely. Im not driving a 2-4 hour round trip for a bogo pizza. Im very disappointed. As I said, every year, its less and less. But this year was it, no more. Ill actually save more money if I DONT buy the book.

They had made it difficult to get them by phone in the recent past but I was always able to eventually find a number a get someone. Now you just plain cannot! That is why they are a shady company in my opinion now. They will charge your card yet if you call the number on your bank statement (which was always a great way to reference a charge btw) it is a recording that says go to their website. I have now had to attempt a dispute on my credit card (only the 2nd time in my life, I am 51) and when I tried to follow their instructions to go online to return the book I am having no luck entering the information to start the return process. The worst is through all this waste of time and mess I still cannot just pick up the phone and call someone and clear this up. I will no longer give any business to entertainment book. They have lost a long time customer. I see now why the book has gotten so small and thin.

The app 's discounts are more like 25% off. Very few BOGO in app. If you do get a BOGO the 2nd item usually has a dollar limit so you end up paying for whatever it is over the limit. Definitely not adjusted for inflation. Most are at or bellow $9.00. Not to mention a few businesses did not honor sonI let them know and those businesses are STILL in the new book / app. Use to be a great deal but you can get same discounts through Groupon and better discounts. I have been using the service when it use to be a fundraiser also.

We are almost full and have not placed any ads online or in a coupon book in over 6 years. Just had a customer walk in with coupons with a special with our company logo, address, and phone number and it does not expire until 12/2018. What is this? Even worst there is no phone number to call the company. We had to search and search all over the internet to find out who put this ad out and once we did we had to email them. Still waiting for a response. This is illegal and WRONG!

Every year tge book gets smaller but this year is the worst. The last couple years most coupons are out of the area.its not formatted tge way it used to be. I guess thats because its so skimpy. I will not be purchasing it again

The staff at Entertainment Book do not care about their customers. First, they do not offer a phone number. Second, many of their on-line coupons do not print. Third, the so called customer service staff do not respond to their customers requests in a timely manner.

This is as close to a fraud as you get when cancelling. Tried it and nothing much of value so went into site and hit cancel in trial. It lead to a screen when you have to hit cancel again and then a third screen when you have to search for and hit a cancel button again. I thought it was cancelled and it kept coming up and it is very hard to get to the area to cancel. Lots of run around.

Horrible customer service, Charge me for a membership without any warning, then Claimed they sent me a message. But they sent me a message to the wrong email. (Even though it was correct on my account) Over drafted my account. In which I had to pay the fees but Refused to refund me the $19.99 back they took.

Super easy to sign up for, then you quickly start to realize the deals aren't that great and they're for places you never heard of or would ever shop or eat. When you go to cancel, you'll discover there's no clear way to do so. After some google searching you might find their cancelation page. The way it works is you enter your email, and they send you a link to login to your account. Then you'll find the membership management. When you go to click cancel the cancel button doesn't work because the cancel button is just a fake button with a javascript:void(0); function attached (does nothing). Complete scam and I guess I'll have to cancel my credit card just to get rid of them.

I ordered the entertainment guide a few years ago and I am not happy with my subscription. These books were at least 2x the size they are now and I just want my money back. I got an email that asked for me to confirm my address or the subscription would be cancelled and now I have been charged for it again. I want my money back Entertainment group and if I dont receive it I will be seeking legal advice.

I really enjoy bios & when I read this I was not disappointed. If you want to see the inside life of the film industry and a talented filmmaker, then Tommy McLoughlin's bio is worth your time. Author Joseph Maddrey did an outstanding job getting the answer most fans would want to know given the opportunity to ask a filmmaker. The interesting and rollarcoaster ride of a life Tommy has had is well-worth reading about. One of my Top 5 Fav Bios of All-Time for sure!

I cannot believe I wasted my time trying to purchase a cruise through this site, only for them to deny me my cash back. I made a purchase back in December of 2017 through ebates when they were offering a 37% cash back. I distinctly remember logging on to my ebates account and going to entertainment.com/cruises to make this purchase. Now, months later when I am trying to retrieve my cash back, they magically claim that my order number was invalid and cannot track my cash back. These people are unprofessional and dishonest. Ebates tried to communicate with them and entertainment refuses to even acknowledge any fault or look into the matter any further. I have emailed them to recheck their systems but I doubt anything will come of it. If you chose to make any large purchases through this site, beware. They will lie and claim that your confirmation number is invalid and your cash back will not be honored. I canceled my membership and will never recommend them to anyone.

Yes, I would give it negative 5 stars for cheating their customers. I paid $15 for a daily deal. A couple of months later I tried to print up my coupon and couldn't. I called them and they said they stopped the daily deal programs and it wasn't their policy to give refunds. Totally scam and dishonest company. Stay far, far away from this company! Bait and switch!

I bought a book 3 years ago on "sale" to get tickets for my son for a theme park for his birthday.
My thought was that I would still save money on the tickets even with the purchase of the book.
I was WRONG.,
Every year since then they have charged my card and sent a book to the WRONG address.
Even though I KEEP cancelling me "membership".
I have cancelled it every time they charged me.

The guide came and this year they have incorporated my region with a much bigger region near by. So we get the same size book as regular, but it only has maybe 40 businesses from my entire Large Island covering an area that takes a whole day to drive across and the other 95% of the book is for a city that is about an hours trip away by boat. This ENTERTAINMENT BOOK is next to useless for the 765,000 people who live on this island and is only of use to those millions living on the mainland. Why have they changed the book this year and why was that not advertised with or too the multitude of school groups that sold it as a fundraiser.

Renewed without asking me- just took money out of my account, money I didn't have to spend. $70.00 for 2 books, when I can get these books for 1/2 price around Christmas. This is terrible the company can do something like this to you. They claim when I ordered I clicked on some annual renew thing but I don't recall doing that. You can't call and talk to anyone, you can only email and they are stand messages they are sending to you. When ordering these books sign in as a guest, do not sign up as a member, that's how they get you. DO NOT SET UP AN ACCOUNT WITH THESE PEOPLE.
