It's refreshing to receive a product that matches its description so accurately. The book was in very good condition, as promised. Ergodebooks takes great care in selecting and describing their inventory, and it shows. The pages were clean, the cover was intact, and there was no sign of wear or damage. Ordered an advanced Spanish course quite overpriced but wanted it. Was given a tracking number but from a NON USPS service. Tracking app could not find anything. I emailed them multiple times.their responses were vague which set off my alarm. Finally this morning I received email they're in contact with the shipper. A few minutes later I received a message on Amazon France they considered it lost in transit and were refunding the entire cost...so I'm unable to provide photos as it never arrived. I'm suspicious they never sent it in the first place. I don't trust nor respect them. Reading the many negative comments justifies my distrust.

I ordered two books as Christmas gifts in early December. I received my payment confirmation and after about a week, I called the company, as I never received a shipping confirmation (both books were in stock when I ordered). The first rep I spoke with told me that my package had been lost in the mail and they would be issuing me a refund. I asked the rep when they were planning on notifying me about that (if I hadn't already called in) and they provided a vague answer. It was also suspect how the company knew they had already been "lost in the mail". I asked if they could send me replacement books and they told me no, they weren't in stock. After I hung up, I checked online and their website showed they had the books in stock. I immediately called back and got a different rep. This rep told me the books were actually not lost in the mail and had been sent almost a week before. I confirmed this multiple times and he said the other rep must have been mistaken. I asked this second rep for a mailing tracking number and he said they didn't have it yet (even though the package had shipped a week before).
I kept following up via email for a tracking number and they kept telling me the package shipped the day after I ordered it but they hadn't yet generated a tracking number yet (it had been almost two weeks now). I held out hope that the books (which were children's Christmas gifts) would somehow arrive on time. They never arrived and on Christmas morning I received an email from the Company saying the books had in fact been "lost in postal transit".
I would normally chalk this up to a one-off postal mix up if it wasn't for so many other 1-star reviews from other customers who had the exact same fact pattern (refusal to provide a tracking number and then the package getting "lost"). This was compounded by terrible customer service every time I tried to follow-up.
My order was handled on timely basis. Our book arived in good condition, so we are complrtrly satisfied with this company.

60 COMPLAINTS ISSUED AGAINST THIS COMPANY ON THE BBB! AVOID! I never received my book, and when contacting the company, they refused to provide tracking information after explicitly requesting it. The vague response received from "Joy K" was that my item was "lost in transit... sorry for the postal mess". The same response was given verbatim to other customers posting negative reviews. If you request Ergodebooks to expound and specify, they will prevaricate.
I filed a complaint with Abebooks, and although they agreed to issue a refund, they provided a firm defense against the notion that this company is a scam. If you purchase books from Ergodebooks, you will essentially be fighting on your own.
All the 1-star online reviews are true just research it for yourself. The couple of positive reviews are left by fraudulent profiles. THEY ARE BOOKJACKERS, meaning that their selling posts are not legitimate. Ergodebooks is a subset of FastMedia, a scamming company, as listed on the BBB. The owner is Rupesh Sanghavi and goes under various pseudonyms like "Joy K".
Almost, if not all, customers will not receive their purchases, or will be involved in a ploy to receive their order incomplete or defective months later.
