I'd been going to a hair salon my entire 'gray' life. I'd spend between $150-$200 every 6 weeks. I started using eSalon over a year ago. Not only does my hair turn out exactly as I want it but it's saved me tons of money.

I was charged and recharged before i tried this product which was recommended by a friend Very disappointed. Colour is patchy And my hair feels bad. Regrowth back after one week.

The first order didn't adequately cover my gray and left my ends very dark. My second order, which I have yet to receive, was supposed to be better. However, eSalon chooses to bulk ship leaving it up to USPS to sort packages then deliver during the busiest time of year! I changed my delivery date to 12/13 thinking I'd get it within a week so I could color my hair before the holiday. Well, guess what? My order was sitting in San Diego USPS for 5 days and won't arrive until late 12/23. So I get to color my hair on CHRISTMAS EVE! What was Customer Services response? I could pay an additional $5 for priority shipping! Now why on earth should I need to use Priority Shipping to ship a product from LA to San Diego? Did eSalon offer any sort of compensation? No! Buh Bye, eSalon! BTW, I doubt that this review will be posted. That's OK, I'll find other places to post this review.

Would love to give zero stars. I cancelled my account and they continue to take my money and ship. Not very helpful with customer service. Sent them 2 emails and a voicemail and they still shipped my product and took my money. They better refund it and not offer a credit when I refuse it. Plus the reminder email is sent too late to do anything.

Have been ordering color for several years since the pharmacy hair color wasn't covering my grays. I love the color! The co.?'s seemed spot on since I love my brunette hair color with reddish highlights. :)

They supposedly sent my 3rd hair color shipment on 4/6 and charged my CC, they sent a tracking # and it says said 'USPS currently awaiting package' it is 5/13 and the USPS status has not changed, they have not rec'd it yet. I called and they said I returned the item! The Supervisor was rude and said there nothing they can do, they will not refund my shipping. They took no responsibility for their error. I don't need to deal with a company like this!

I had been a customer for awhile and the color they sent me was good. Then I had a change of colorist. I'm blonde, my roots turned a bright orange rustic color. I had to wear a scarf. I contacted esalon and they sent products but my color remained the same. When I contacted them again they said they had no record of me being a customer. Unbelievable! I continued to contact esalon. They never did fix my color. Terrible business. Any business that you have sent money to with the promise of the excellent service they will provide, then they mess up, and then proceed to tell you they never heard of you is never to be trusted. Stay away!

Talked to the salon every time before they sent the color out
They still after 3 times were not able to get it correct. I asked them to
Send a color picture before they did the color which they didn't
Do. They said they would send me a free color which still was
Not corrected. I also ordered the shampoo and conditioner not
Realizing it would come with each order. I ended up canceling everything.

I ordered just a root color, I received the product that they recommended.
It turned my roots orange. After calling two times, they are sending me a light color to help fix it doubt it will. I asked when to expect my credit on my card. We don't do that we give you a credit on esalon. Why would i want to order anything else from them after ruining my hair. As to date I still havent received my kit to try to fix my hair. I wouldn't recommend, just buy your color at a store and research your color on the internet it is safter.

Was going from a ash blonde to a bright red. It was not at all the color I wanted. I take into consideration I color my hair alot but even the color on my regrowth, virgin hair, still just a pinkish color. They did offer to replace my color but I don't think I'm going to bother. I sent pictures of my hair color when ordering so I feel they should of been able to get alot closer to my desired shade.

During the pandemic, my natural hair came in soft. The dyed hair from this company was crisp and dried to the point it was like straw. I never color anything but my roots so it wasn't because all my hair is always colored. I've also had trouble with this product covering my gray. Customer Service just told me to keep in on longer during the dying process. Never worked. I switched to Olia by Garnier. The gray is MUCH MUCH better, the colored hair is SOFT, not crispy. The only thing this company got right was the color. That's it. I just canceled my subscription.

I have been coloring my hair for years. I have been using Madison Reed but wanted to try something different. The roots of my medium brown hair is now a mix of gray, red and pink….I left on for 40mins and it barely colored. Awful!

I recently bought a Tint Rinse from eSalon.com which supposed to reduce unwanted tones and add shine to the hair. I have medium brown hair. I dyed my hair a couple of month ago and now trying to grow my natural color. I wanted to get rid of the rusty red tone in my hair. This shampoo did work. You have to wet your hair smooth the Tint Rinse and leave it on for 3 min. The wash it off. While they recommend to apply it after shampooing i use it as shampoo because it does foam.
The only thing i don't like that it seems like they advertise this tint rinse for all brown hair but that is not how it works. The rinse is dark green which means it will mostly work to eliminate reddish tones. It did not work for me when i balayage my hair and it turned rusty light brown color, lighter than the first time i used the tint rinse. I had to buy a blue shampoo to get rid of that hues.
Also its not very cheap product. One bottle 3.9 fl oz is 15$. They do have sales and free shipping promotions.
The rinse is very liquid and does last long enough for me.
They pack it nicely and ship quickly.

Ordered Jan 19, tracking number says it doesn't exist when you track, and they told me they will do nothing until Feb 17? 30 days to get hair dye?
Don't even try it. Such a scam.

I've colored my hair many times over the years. I've done my own roots. I've done my own highlights. But, this by far is way way good. I feel like I just stepped out of the salon. I have 22 inch long hair. The shampoo and conditioner after the coloring is absolutely amazing. I would've paid the full price just for the trial size packet of shampoo and conditioner. I use OLAPLEX on my hair to bond a couple of times a month. This time, I did not even have to use my Ola Plex products. My hair was perfectly matched to what I asked. I just don't see why anybody would not use them. I am a forever customer now.

Tip for consumers:
I could not believe how fast I received it and such great quality and ease-of-use. I was super impressed with all of the tools they send for free.

Colorist mixed medium brown, according to my specifications for roots and based on my pic. It was a match perfectly.

BEWARE this is a subscription. I got my first color and they snuck in a subscription. They charged me on the 10th, I received my color on the 27th, and 3-4 days later they charged me $30 for another hair dye package. I haven't even used the first box I received yet and they are charging my card for more?!

I have ordered from esalon several times hoping to find the perfect color. I took the quizzes for the best match, and I never was fully satisfied with my results. It's not that the color was bad, it just wasn't a good match and was only "ok". It also is WAY too expensive ($33.90/ month) for home hair color that was just "ok". Maybe if my results were fabulous, I wouldn't mind. I shopped around and found a Revlon Colorsilk color I absolutely LOVE for only $4/box. It has been a great fit for me and I will never use the expensive esalon color again.

This place is a joke. I didnt get the color i ordered (of course didnt know til I applied it). Ran with it because I didn't have a choice. When I used the second bottle (I paid for it so might as well) it turned my hair orange and completely fried it. I had just gotten 6" cut off to make it healthy again... now I look like a clown and my hair is like fricking straw... thank God I canceled it

At least it was easy to cancel…the dye deposited zero color. I tried to used this late at night before a meeting the next day, guess have to use eyeshadow to cover my roots. So angry.

Order never came and impossible to contact them, basically stole money from me. Do not order! Ordered from Ireland, site. Ie, had no idea it is from USA, total scam and should be shut down

site is a scam, you click to contact them and nothing happens, can't even send a message, be avare and not order from esalon.ie

I had low confidence in this product because after I answered their lengthy questionare I received a message telling me that my hair color was too complicated for them to create a product for me. So I sent them an e-mail asking them to cancel my order. I was then told they would send me something they thought would work, and refused to let me cancel my order. Which I was afraid to use. It seemed as though I was not getting a personalized experience promised in their advertising. And now I find out that they sneakily signed me up for repeat delivery! And they make it difficult for you to cancel your repeat delivery. Because of the coronavirus lockdown I doubt that they will be in their office for me to call and cancel my unwanted, unasked for, ttricked into repeat delivery service.

I thought I would give it a try. The packaging is nice, smell is neutral and easy to use, BUT 1. The red color I ordered wasn't much of a red stayed pretty much the blond I was with a hint of copper (not what I ordered. Adjusted my color, second time around, color was great, BUT it washed out within 5-6 hair washes (even used their classic shampoo and conditioner). Also, in the instructions, which I followed precisely, it says to shampoo you hair after rinsing out the hair color. Really? Every colorist knows that you should not shampoo you hair for at least 72 hours to let hair folicle close to lock the color in. Fazit -> not worth the money.

I've ordered three shipments from eSalon. The first shipment never arrived and they replaced it which was nice. When it came time for my next color, my shipment tracking said that USPS was still waiting to receive the item, this went on for 10 days. I live in the same city as the eSalon headquarters and was told by customer service that my shipments shouldn't take longer than 2-3 days to arrive. Not sure what's happening with that, especially since they are charging $5.95 for shipping!

As for the color: it was inconsistent, didn't cover any grays, and made my hair and scalp tight and dry. I spoke to a colorist on two separate occasions and while it improved slightly each time, the color was still off and didn't cover any grays. The color also turned brassy after a few washes, even when using sulphate free color safe hair products.

All in all, I'd say it's not worth the time or money. It's very hard to get perfect color based off of a picture or some generalized quiz results. I don't know about most people, but for me, it was incredibly frustrating to go a few months with hair that was ridiculously brassy and still gray. I don't have the patience to go another few rounds before they can get the color or processing instructions right.

Tip for consumers:
Know exactly what color you want and speak to a colorist before your order. Make sure to let them know if you have grays or porous hair.

I saw the ad to get a personal call and specific products. I've spent years doing my own hair since salons rarely impress me. But trying cherry red (literally the name of the color I'm using), I thought I definitely could use some help and tips. I sent my cherry red hair pick in (attached) as instructed and signed up. I received "medium brown/dark copper" hair coloring and dark auburn root spray (looks dark plum on); no phone call, just an email telling me my personalized package is on the way. Seemed very fast! The package was nicely boxed, I like the drip-cape. But I felt ripped off. When I finally emailed them about my disappointment I did get a call -- she told me that I had to tick the box to get a call on the original order (no such directions) and then actually sent me an email to walk me through doing a strand test to see if maybe the product they did send was going to work for me, as if 1. At 62 I've never done a strand test and 2. I must be too stupid to know what color would or wouldn't work. She claimed they would refund me if I was not satisfied but I've spent enough time on this already. Other than doing a review, I'm done spending anything on this bs company. Personalized my butt. At least at the beauty supply store I can pick something resembling my actual color. Imagine L'Oreal charging another $20 per box so that you can sign up to be sent endless emails and advertising along with the wrong color. (This site asks me what products I used, but I think it means what products I purchased. I did not use any of the products sent to me by eSalon.)

Tip for consumers:
For sitejabber or esalon? Obviously, I recommend people skip esalon.

None. I purchased eSalon's package of hair dye, root spray but have not used any of these since the color is way off.

I did my hair and after 4 days I wash it and the color washed away too. I wanna cancel and get my money from the last order back since I didn't know it was a subscription.
