I'd been going to a hair salon my entire 'gray' life. I'd spend between $150-$200 every 6 weeks. I started using eSalon over a year ago. Not only does my hair turn out exactly as I want it but it's saved me tons of money.
I was charged and recharged before i tried this product which was recommended by a friend Very disappointed. Colour is patchy And my hair feels bad. Regrowth back after one week.
I took a chance and ordered from esalon. I put a note to the colorist so she would call me. Didn't happen. Got my kitabsolutely the WRONG color! Cannot use at all- my first kit-completely wrong! Called to see about canceling it all. They said to return the kit. It had been opened. They said P O would do "Return to Sender" I countered that if it had been opened they would not. I took to P O and, surprise!, they would make me pay $5 for it. I called esalon again- they told me to do the same thing again! Really? They would NOT send me a postage label. This COMPANY IS NOT ONE TO DO BUSINESS WITH - poor business practices in my opinion. Very disappointed! Sooo sorry I took a chance. BUYER BEWARE!. Very bad experience! Won't make that mistake again! EVER!

Contacted company five times regarding the incorrect color sent, They failed to respond to customer.
This wrong color was dark and red, and not the color that was ordered.
I told them my hair was thick. They insisted they would send enough product. They didn't. I wanted to go darker. The color they recommended turned my hair orange.
Do not give them your credit card. They will continue to charge your card and when you return an item they will tell you they never received your item.

I'm fed up so just discontinued my orders with you.
I was once again charged shipping when clearly said in my email I wouldn't be. I phone the company and they said on my next order was the free shipping. So damn tired of all the discrepancies associated with your policies. You must certainly will not be/stay in business long. You never back down even when the customer is right. Your prices continually increase in leaps and bounds without any notification. This is the most inflexible company I've ever had the bad fortune of dealing with.in the 6 or so times I've had to call back to complain, I've NEVER been satisfied with the end result of those discussions.,I pride myself in trying to catch people doing good things but not the case with you.
I will now share my review openly on FB so that others don't get caught in your deceitful web.
In the end, you only do harm to yourselves as it is WE the customer who keeps your doors open. I've not seen even one decent review about you so I believe that this will soon be your demise. You should have learned something from your horrible reviews but clearly have not.

I Googled best hair dyes and this company came up. My bad, I did not read the reviews before I ordered. The hair dye you receive is the same as what you can buy at the grocery store. They ask how often do you dye your hair? This gives them a time line when to charge you again and ship you another order. I did not sign up for their program because I was comparing dyes. Once they get your card information they charge you and ship their overpriced, over-the-counter hair dye kit that isn't worth $34.23. It doesn't last, and doesn't cover your gray hair as long as they say. So, I will dispute the charge with my bank and advise them that I canceled any and all future associations with this scamming company. You just can't trust any online companies to be trustworthy these days, the majority of them are only interested in getting your money in a scam hoping you won't do anything, which most people do, and they keep your money. Leason learned! $34.23 for hair dye you do yourself? Not worth one cent!

The Red has dulled a bit but is still there

My daughter wanted to go a medium red shade. I sent pictures of her hair to the "colorist" as requested. They said it would help them formulate the color for her. Mind you, she had very healthy hair. Very.
So we put the "specially formulated" color on, waited exactly the recommended time, and then she hopped into the shower to wash her hair. Within minutes she was SCREAMING for me. Her hair was coming out in chunks. I've never seen anything like it. I was crying while we were drying it, because I was sincerely afraid she was going to have huge bald spots. Further, as we were drying it, what wasn't falling out was melted. Actually melted into clumps.
It's been six months and we've spent hundreds of dollars on products to help her hair heal. We've finally admitted defeat and she's going to have the majority of her hair cut off. We're looking into extensions because so much of it has to go.
I realize what happened to her could have been a formulation error. But it was semipermanent color, so there really shouldn't have been anything in it to cause so much damage. She wasn't lightening, she was darkening her color.
In short, unless you're willing to take a chance on spending hundreds of dollars to fix your hair, only to have to cut it all off in the end, I'd 100% avoid this product.
Their response to what happened to her was "that's weird." So, customer service isn't any better than the product itself.
I initially ordered a dark brown color but for whatever reason they would not give me that color. Instead they sent me a soft black which turned out to be Raven Black. Its so dark, it made my hair look off balance. Despite pleading many times for them to send me a dark brown, they sent me a raven black and would not offer me a secondary option. Instead they refunded me for the intial purchase. It would have been nice if they gave me 2 options and I would have had NO other problems since it would have been my choice. I would have been very happy with the result of the dark brown. I used the only option they gave me becuase I wanted to try the service and trusted them but after usage, the black is way too dark and made my hair look off balance. Imagine top part black and middle to low brown with blonde. Nice right? Esalon must be very proud every time they screw up someone's hair. Well, now I need a color correction. Isn't that nice? I don't recommend. You will have unethical people who discriminate and who won't provide you service, who will argue with you and won't listen. They will not give you the color that you actually want. The colorist said that they could lighten my hair over time. LOL. Not with the Stark Black color you sent me. They are unqualified and unprofessional to the highest degree. Please do not be in business any longer. Your company is doing your community and people a great disservice.
I don't have as much money as I used to. I went to CVS to look at ways to save money and do my own hair. I thought if it was more expensive then it might be the best. My friend who's and experienced colorist did the application. I had the product on for more than the recommended time because of my gray roots. I was excited to think I could save money by doing my own hair color. My roots look EXACTLY like they did before. I WISH I had bought a less expensive product that would have probably worked.
I fell for the packaging and the price.

I thought I would try something different than the usual Swarzkopf Keratin Color/Cappucino, well what a huge mistake I made. It did not color any of my grays and I will not be purchasing again.
I was a customer with them for 7 years. Since I was on a subscription-basis ordering, hair colors kept coming to me even though I wasn't coloring my hair every 7 weeks. In a nutshell, I noticed a bottle that was 4 months old that it was evident that things were growing in the bottle - BIG nasty things too! The bottle was always in my home on the counter, so it wasn't exposed to heat, cold or anything of the such. I sent pictures to them and they refuse to credit my account back. I cancelled by the way, but they will only offer a "free hair color for next time" - um, your stuff is growing in the bottle, I have NO interest on putting that on my hair. So long story short, when I pointed this out, "magically" their FAQ now includes that you must use within 6 months (yes, it was 6 months and 1 week when I finally got around to emailing them) BUT Google the "gold standard" across the board for hair colors, and you will find the "standard" is THREE YEARS - so I wouldn't recommend this company at all - not at all. Use another company for your hair color that actually care about their customers.
I bought hair color that is one shade darker than my light blonde color... and IT TURNED MY HAIR GREEN! This was a $380 fix. THREE HUNDRED EIGHTY DOLLARS IS WHAT ESALON OWES ME

There I was relaxing in my living room after a long week of work. I was watching some movie on the Roku channel to take my mind off things and wind down for the weekend. The movie stopped for a commercial break; the first commercial was for Liberty Mutual. After chuckling at the silly antics of the "LiMu-Emu" and Doug I was jolted from my reclined stature with "THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!" For the next 30 seconds I thought I was going to need to make an appointment with the ear doctor to inspect the damage the blown out speakers had done. As I thought the ad was coming to a close I was starting to relax back into my chair. But wait! Is it possible?! My eardrums continued to be assaulted as for the last fifteen seconds of the ad got even LOUDER! My ears were practically ringing by the time the commercial came to a close. The movie returned after the break and the dialogue volume level was so soft I was straining to hear the key plot points of the story. This ad played on every commercial break, it played MAGNITUDES louder than all the other ads and the movie itself, probably upwards of 20 dB louder. I'm sure the product is good but they need to remaster their commercials to a reasonable volume. Every time it came on it was like I had minor PTSD of the first assault on my eardrums. This company needs to fix its ads if it wants any positive words from me.
Don't trust the "color expert" gimmick, it is all a lie! This color does not cover grays! 100% guarantee is also a lie!
