1. It decided there is an issue with my transaction AFTER it took ALL MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION AND AFTER I PROCEEDED TO 'CONFIRM PURCHASE', yet it did not even elaborate what was the issue, which lead me to try again. When attempting to reach Cust Service - NO Phone, only Chat which mislead me and provided mistaking information. Twice!
On third attempt it went through, I saw a Thank you confirmation number (I have a confirmation email), then the next morning I received an email stating that they cancelled my transaction, assured me that I will receive my money back (Ha! Of which transaction?! I processed THREE!), and that I will see the money back in 2 - 5 DAYS! And AGAIN - they did NOT explain Why they cancelled my purchase.
2. Looking to talk to a live person I looked up the company through GOOGLE. They have a site with the title 'ETSY Phone number' and when you access that site - it says: NO PHONE NUMBER, and again they offer you an automated Chat who/which has NO IDEA how to solve this issue.
3. You CANNOT get to talk ON THE PHONE to ANYBODY IN THIS COMPANY. Or maybe it is a fictitious company? Another fraud?
No Wonder the BBB rated them as One Star. I tried to rate them a ZERO Star. Would there have been an option of ZERO star rating - this is what I would rate ETSY as!
Ok how can you say over an over again that we focus on handmade items when the majority of your sellers are selling knock off items that has a brand name on it. An that's a reason people are going to there own personal shops because it's a disgrace to see how easy a person can sell something fake for cheaper price like it's the swap an shop while authentic people can't get ahead due to the Gucci, Amiri, fendi an any other brands that are not authentic. I hope this review helps take action on this problem or Etsy will just be another online swap an shop selling knock off designer gear. An if this doesn't get posted I will start a blog on this problem on every social media platform
Etsy has such horrible customer service, I decided to write a review to vent! No complaint about their vendors, this is a review for the Etsy Company. It is rather ironic because if you purchase something from an Etsy vendor you are harassed until you leave a review, never do they seem to care about how they are doing! I was just trying to find a way to make a complaint to corporate, but there is no way to find an email for customer service. Recently I had a problem, spoke to someone about it and my account got locked. Etsy needs new leadership. Ebay so much better as far as service. It can be done. Etsy's motto seems to be "take no responsibility" Also, it used to be great for crafters. Now it sells anything and everything. Lots of junk. But, as a crafter, God bless those wonderful creative people on Etsy and I think there are many wonderful sellers. Thanks for listening, I hope etsy reads all their horrible reviews!
Esty is absolutely a scam.
They are selling cheap products that are from Walmart and other retailers. Also a lot of shein and wish products.

Esty closed my store back in August 2021, today is March 5,2022. I still have not received any of my money which is $719.89. They are not responding to my emails. They did start to say on my
Finance page that the money was being deposits. Than day after day they kept postponing it. I put a complaint in with the Federal Trade Commission and now my account is locked down. I have no way of getting ahold of anyone. My next course of action is a lawyer. If anyone else has had this problem contact me at *******@aol.com. I will start a class action lawsuit against them.
A family member sent me a lovely wooden plaque for my front door. It is round with a beautiful bow and our last name on it. The gift was made by a friend of hers whose business is "That's What She Made". Check her out - I love it.

I have to share how impressed I am with the company Etsy. Shop and the products they offer. There is a variety of quality merchandise to purchase with good shipping speed. The Customer Service that I received is amazing. They were helpful, friendly, and very patient.
I've used Etsy several times successfully. Great response and products.
However, I recently Didn't receive an order, (USPS) stated delivered and well I didn't receive it.
Run around, contacted seller, USPS, the seller was very responsive but passed me to Etsy.
Etsy support was good via chat (if you can find that feature), first time just terminated me when I mentioned issue. 2 further chats I got some attention and follow up. Its frustrating as can understand issue is really sellers responsibility.
Overall, I've change my review and given 4 stars.
Ok let me start up by saying I actually looked at their policies prior to selling on Etsy and mase sure they would be a good match. Everything looked fine as in what you can sell so I started selling items. Everything I sold was designed and or customize by me and my business. After 80+ successful sales within the first month with positive reviews to match I was sent an email stating my account is suspended and I can no longer sale on etsy. My jaw hit the floor because I was killing it with the shipments. All my shipments where shipped out same day unless the order came in after the post office closed and I used their system to purchase the shipping postage. I have sent several emails and never got a response which I believe is down right awful.
Here's the kicker:
When my account was suspended I have 5 to 7 open orders I have not yet processed. So the email I received told I could either ship the item out or refund the customer. With Etsy telling my their holding my funds for 6 months on previous orders I decided to not add any more money into the reserve account and selected the refund option on each order. After 3 weeks of trying to reach customer support I gave up trying. About 4 weeks later I am getting emails through my suspended Etsy account asking where their orders are. I explained to each customer that contacted me the situation and how I selected refund. I receive emails that would be equivalate to pay pals dispute system stating I need to work things out with the customer.
I have seriously been looking into starting a market place similar to Etsy and blow their shady business practices out the water.
The item that I ordered weighs about an ounce and will fit in the palm of your hand. I ordered it 10 days ago and the item is still sitting in another state. I am hoping that my item arrives safely because their delivery service is awful. It's my experience that if you order from Etsy you better be extremely patient...!

I ordered a photo night light frame. I never received it. I contacted customer service and they gave me the run around. They no longer respond to my emails. They scamed me out of almost $60.00

It is not worth buying or selling on this company called esty. You will not get what you order plus you can't get your money back they than will delete your account with no notes.
Sadly, while there are many good, honest salespeople on their site, I have encountered 2 that have taken my money, do not respond and over a month later I still haven't gotten my product. The latest one is Eurohand- Ozen Gunes. Etsy's attitude is sure, we'll give you a refund... and then allows the person to continue selling on their site. Their customer service is obviously out of the country with your standard foreign responses (They always sympathize with your situation) and they are anything less than the 'human' that they claim to be. Horrible customer service, so disappointed. Great concept to help the small business owner, but marred by their unwillingness to boot the bad guys from their system.
Ordered shirt said 9 in stock. It was ordered on the 11th and marked shipped on the 12th. Still haven't recieved. This is the second and final time I will order. I'm guessing shirts weren't available they just say that and make them as you order. Shipping label is all that has been completed. Saying shipped is false. Label made immediately to look as if it shipped. When I called they blame usps for not updating.

Answer: Check the reviews, and Google the seller. Also, are the reviews written in good english? Does it seem fake? Check pictures from the buyers.
Answer: I would have to say no, with LOTS of exceptions. In the past few years Etsy has allowed business to claim handmade if it meets certain criteria. I often see many items that claim to be handmade but I have seen them on Alibaba being sold in bulk. That being said I look very closely and have purchased some wonderfu items from great sellers. The biggest problem with Etsy is that they no longer protect customers from fraud (they say they are not liable) but in doing that lots and lots or resellers and counterfeit items have saturated Etsy' s marketplace. I would never buy anything "vintage" there. What I have seen you are getting thrift store rejects or modern fake. Buyer beware! Investigate all vendors carefully!
Answer: I am agree with Ramina. 90% is not hand made. All comes from Factories. When someone has over 8000's item don't you ask who made it. They are all over from Pakistan to turkey east to west up united state. Etsy is happy just to take your money and every 4 or 5 months closing one store to show off and if you have some money as a credit they take it too. No customer service, no respect no manor, they made policy just for FUN and they have FUN with our pocket. Stay far from them FAR FAR.

Most of them are not big businesses with massive inventories so I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Give them a little more time and if they dont send it out then file a case with etsy
Answer: Business checking isn't necessary (the banks now charge a monthly fee for a small business checking). You can pretty much set up a regular checking account

Certain items cannot be returned for safety and hygiene reasons, and sellers can refuse to do anything other than exchange. Contacting Etsy may or may not change the results.
