Horrific policy. My license from Canada updates every 5 yrs as do most across the globe. This is so for update of address and photo. According to Europcar policy if your license has a issue date of less than 1 year you can't rent a car. In my case, mine had renewed in Jan so although I have been driving for 40 years, I was given a hard time, an unbending front desk person and a delay in starting my holiday. Terrible policy. I will not rent from there again
I booked the car reservation online with my flight reservation with Austrian Airlines where the rental period was prefilled with arrival & departure date & time. Apparently there must have been a bug in the system, which made the reservation only morning time of departure time & not evening time & I needed to pay an additional day at site. The pick up at the airport was very friendly & nice, the car is nearly weird to drive & also does not have any shock absorbers anymore, a radio from the 80s which does not work.

Hello, i paid for a second driver but i did not appear on the voucher which was really a problem when i took the car at the desk. I was also troubled because europcar at Kalamata airport obliged me to sign a paper to engage me to paid all damages i could make, in the stange way, not a professionnal way, i would like you check this point in details, i wonder if it is regular, as well i paid for extra insurance.

Hello, Europecar Thessaloniki is different of Europcar Athens: in thessalaoniki even without desk in the terminal ( and this aspect is an inconvenience because nothing indicates to the customer where the office of acceptance is located) the staff was more prepared, more fast. I order a Kia with 120 Hp but got an Open with 83 Hp. The car did not have the power uphills, so even if we had 1 gir and full power the car stoped and glide down the hill and in to the bushes. The car got scratch on left side and we had to pay for that. When we came back to Athens the girl who helping us did her very best, but her college (a man in his 30th) was arrogant and threatening us with the police. It was so unprofessional of him. I will never rent a car from Europcar again.

Brandnew car for a good price. Friendly staff and easy administration (no paperwork, everyting digital). However it was not so easy to find the shuttle, there was no designated Busstation fur the shuttle in Heraklion GR.

We booked car with child seat for 50 euro but on a place they charged us 60 euro without any reason and did not help to install the seat which is not meets the standard Adac or Isize

My husband booked me a car through the app but I paid with my credit card and the system wouldn't allow me to get the car…. It took more than an hour to cancel and rebook as the app didn't allow the change of name. This was unacceptable and incomprehensible… how complicated… it was early morning and I hadn't slept as the flight was delayed very disappointed!

I arrived 4.00 am. Car almost new but with lots of scratches and some dents. Obviously dark night. They make a video and some pictures. They said to me that It was not important because I have bought full all risk insurance. But, when I returned the car 8.00 pm they repeated the process and said to me that a very very small lscratch underside of the car was new. So they asked me to pay 31 eur because of the management of the claim with the insurer. This is regardless I had the full all risk insurance. I refused to pay. Obviously it is not because of the quantity. I had paid more than 1k eur for one week car. This is because I thought it was totally unfair.

UPDATE: These con artists keep replying avoiding to address the elephant in the room. My card gave me back the money they tried to charge me when I reported them for fraud, thus proving my claim. The rest is riff raff because they don't know what to say.
If this outfit steals your money claiming you were late, even though you booked with your flight number, claim it from your card. That's what I did successfully, as these people are SCAM ARTISTS.
I repeat, they are running SCAMS.
DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM, and if you have, cancel the booking now and book with someone else. You will still save a ton of money.

The original booking on my friends name could not be delivered as the credit card provided was only virtual on Apple wallet. There is no where in the contract that a physical card should be provided. Had to cancel and rebook a new car on my name. Flexicar that did the original booking refuses to refund the Downpayment insurance and extras. Very bad service and attitude overall.

There was a long qeue at the reception but the staff was extemely helpfull. At the parking lot, I waited a bit as well and the organization of who gets first his car, was not that great. Further more there were some minor faults at the paint of the car, which the staff did not want to record.

Consider your comment about the security deposit, the request for release of the guarantee is made upon the return of the car. As a company in all our rentals a security deposit will be blocked on the credit card plus the estimated cost of the rental will be charged at the time of pickup. The deposit that will be blocked on the credit card will be released by the cardholder's bank, upon notification after the vehicle returns. The estimated time of released is always depends of bank the customer use.
