Horrific policy. My license from Canada updates every 5 yrs as do most across the globe. This is so for update of address and photo. According to Europcar policy if your license has a issue date of less than 1 year you can't rent a car. In my case, mine had renewed in Jan so although I have been driving for 40 years, I was given a hard time, an unbending front desk person and a delay in starting my holiday. Terrible policy. I will not rent from there again
I booked the rental car through an intermediary website (www.bsp-auto.com) which appeared to me while searching for an offer on the internet. However, there were some differences between what was declared on the contract and what was later found:
1) The contract provided for the collection of the car and its return to take place at the Athens airport. In reality there was no office inside the airport and only after asking for information did I discover that I had to look for a van that would take me for free to the Europcar depot located a few kilometers away.
2) Already at the time of booking on the internet the rental price has doubled, compared to the first offer, due to the return of the car at 06.00. Despite this at the Europcar office I had to pay an additional € 37.20 due to out of hours delivery. Despite my grievances, I was forced to pay this additional amount for the car.

I looked for the best deal
The attention was good by the office staff. But I had paid for a Renault Clio and gave me Nissan Micra. I didn't like having to pay a €290 deposit and having to wait 15-20 days for it to be returned to me. I did not know and the rent was very expensive

Every booking is made in a category of cars and not in a specific brand of cars, that's why we are writing on Renault Clio or a similar car in the category, and is always depending of the booking reservation we have during the days you have booked and of the location of the customer choice. 2. About the security deposit, the request for release of the guarantee is made upon the return of the car. As a company in all our rentals a security deposit will be blocked on the credit card plus the estimated cost of the rental will be charged at the time of pickup. The deposit that will be blocked on the credit card will be released by the cardholder's bank, upon notification after the vehicle returns. The estimated time of released is always depends of bank the customer use.

The guys at the rental station were very helpful and quick, gave us all the information we needed, the car was in great condition and clean, return was quick and easy. Returning a car half full was a challenge, but it made sense under the local conditions.

There was a gap between the staff who were really nice and the facts: I paid for Citroen C-5. They didn't have this car. It took a long time to find a car that I agreed to - it wasn't the right/similar car. The price of the additional insurance (with 0 participation) was 3 times more expensive then it was on the agent site

You do have right you have booked fro the category of Citroen C-5 or a similar and unfortunately that day we didn't had the model of Citroen C-5. Although we had others model of that category.
We assure you that our branch followed all the procedures. During our explanation of the rental terms we required to explain as well the insurance packages are optional.

First car was not worth the money. Really bad Nissan Micra. There was an option in the website with Nissan Micra or similar for around 300 euros (7days). I chose a more expensive Renault Clio for around 350. I Still got the $#*!ty Micra. NOT OK. Changed to a hybrid Corolla automatic. And payed an additional 150 euros because i was Tired of talking about solutions. Otherwise Good, nice personel. Somewhat helpful.

We were under the impression the rental agency was at the airport. It was not. We were uncertain where to pick up the shuttle, and waited a long time for the shuttle. This process should be made clearer. Once we caught the shuttle, everything else went smoothly. The woman who help us get our car was great.

There was no one at the airport although it said "shuttle service" on our booking confirmation. There wasn't even a sign or any kind of information where to find Europcar. Whilst other car rental companies had offices and representatives right there when people arrived. There was no car in the category we had booked available. Another car was offered but only had a 3/8 full tank. It took us more than an hour to get the car as it had to be refueled. The lady who took the car back was rather unfriendly and checked the car as if we had done anything bad to it. Not a great experience at all and we would neither book again with or recommend Europcar.

The service I received was not good.
The atmosphere at the time of receiving the vehicle was very harsh and unserviceable and unpleasant.
The receptionist was not professional enough, and we were delayed a lot when receiving the car.
There is no good relationship between the company in Israel and the company in Crete, so we were unable to get an answer as to whether we have full insurance or only basic insurance.
During the use of the vehicle, I reported a small squeak from the direction of the vehicle's wheels, and I did so only out of responsibility towards the rental company. In response to this, the company representative arrived with a replacement vehicle and said that because of the vehicle replacement, they would charge me 900 euros until they check the problem with the vehicle. Of course I refused and an unpleasant and unnecessary argument developed between us.

I wanted to add an additional driver. She has a Mexican drivers license but It is digital. Mexico moved to digital licenses a few years ago and no one has a physical one anymore. The rental agency refused to accept this license and add her to the car rental

Good experience for the car. We did well to choose a small model for the narrow streets of Mykonos and parking! The price of the rent was very correct.
On the other hand, we had a lot of trouble finding the agency that is not represented at the airport (this fact is not reported on the internet), nothing indicates where it is (no one seems to know) and does not appear on the GPS coordinates (difficulties in returning the car). Fortunately, the charming and dedicated staff helped us, picking us up at the airport and allowing us to return the vehicle to the airport.

The car we have been given is not what I expected. I had ordered a 4x4 and the Kia I have is not 4 wheel drive and has a very small engine - which on the hilly roads is not very safe when there are 5 of us in the car.

We wanted a Jeep Renegade and got extra insurance from booking.com. When we got there, they didn't have the Renegade anymore, instead we got a Kia. To get the insurance coverage that we wanted and had already paid for on booking.com, we had to pay another €100. We'll never rent here again

They offered a Jeep Renegade on booking.com and the price seemed alright at first. Until we had to pay extra on arrival for a Kia we didn’t want.
Honestly not at all a nice experience. I did a reservation under my name but I don't drive e put my husband as driver; they then told me I had to pay for an extra driver. The guy I was talking to didn't even look me in the eyes when we were talking so I couldn't understand whether he was talking to me or to the earphones. It was very unpleasant.
The car remote control didn't work and they didn't tell me.

The car was relatively damaged when it was taken over. When handing it over, they wanted to blame us for the damage. A video shot during the handover spoke for us.
