Horrific policy. My license from Canada updates every 5 yrs as do most across the globe. This is so for update of address and photo. According to Europcar policy if your license has a issue date of less than 1 year you can't rent a car. In my case, mine had renewed in Jan so although I have been driving for 40 years, I was given a hard time, an unbending front desk person and a delay in starting my holiday. Terrible policy. I will not rent from there again
Went through the car and checked for damage. Recorded all damage and scrap. There were also injuries that they themselves had not registered. When I returned the car, they suddenly found a tiny scratch under the car, which I had to pay for. Who gets under the car to check when you are going to rent. Also stated that there was damage I discovered on delivery that was not registered. They then stated that the damage was not registered until there was agreement on who would pay for the damage. So if we do not detect the damage, the customer risks paying and they charge several times for the same damage

Everything well organised -from pick up at the airport till the dropp off back. The staff was very friendly, explained everything in details. We got exactly the same car we had chosen, it was a brand new car. Everything went smoothly on our trip.

The shuttle bus was waiting as explained in the voucher and took us smoothly to the car rental office. The rental contract was also prepared in a smooth and safe way with digital signing and all documents sent to my e-mail. The car was photographed and also the existing small damages on it were documented, and sent to me. Signed as well. The car was clean and proper and as we wished.

The car i received (nissan Juke) was not the car i ordered and paid (Jeep Renegade). There was no other option then to accept the Nissan. I paid €400,- more to have a bigger car (for my family and luggage) and didn't get any refund.

We came on a family vacation and had 2 car orders -as we arrived to the desk we were told the orders were cancelled, due to the fact that we arrived late (5 hours vs the allowed 4) it didn't matter that we already paid for the cars - the women at the desk said we have to re order, pay again and than try to get our money back! Since we're 9 people with small children after long international flight_•- we didn't have much of a choice and were kind of forced to do so…. BTW the agency we ordered from said - the order was not cancelled, now since it happened with 2 orders and not one - it's not a "glitch" or mistake, but more of a way to rip off tourists……

The overall experience during the reception of the car was fine. The car was also according to the expectations.

In Athens: catastrophic! On probably more than 100 car rental in my life: the worst.
45 minutes for check-in of internet pre-booked car. Impossible for the staff to treat one customer in less than 10 minutes. But it's not finished: arrived at the parking, another fifteen minutes to verify the papers and the car. On returning, the trainee at the parking directly told us that he was not able to do the job and was alone. Waiting for an undefinite delay was the solution. I had to refuse this, in order to catch our flight to Heraklion.
The car itself was micro, I would not qualify it mini!

The Renault Clio was very good.

No kiosk at the airport. Had to be taken farther out with a van.
I ordered for a 1.6 mini SUV and what I got was a 1.0 smaller SUV. They told me it is on the same vehicle category. When I told them I had ordered a 1.6, they told me we don' t even have 1.6! Last time with Europcar for sure!

Our station is almost 1klm from the airport. We are so sorry for the misunderstanding about the category of SUV. Is true that in our fleet we don't have an SUV of 1.6 and we didn't have availability of another model to give you the specific time.

I believe my customer service agents name was Antonis, I might be wrong however he was awesome. He was patient with my awkwardly heavy luggage and made my check in process so easy. I was a bit concerned when booking because I learned that the rental agency was not in terminal, but Antonis(?) was waiting for me right outside baggage claim and made sure my checkin process was easy peasy. He even made sure I'd have someone to shuttle me back to airport once I returned vehicle.

I made the reservation at Europcar app, indicating hour for dropping the car was going to be at 6am. It was not indicated anywhere an additional fee of 37€ if we want to return the car before 7am.

Employee on site said its not necessary to record all pre-existing damage of car on the diagram i was asked to sign. I explained i wasnt comfortable with that but he insisted that only major damage is recorded on diagram. I didnt want to argue so instead i was forced to take a video of the car just so that i have some evidence that damage was pre-existing in case i was blamed for it.
Other than the above, no other issue.

We entered the Athens airport arrivals hall and went to the Europcar desk (03Sep22 at 18.00 hours). There it took more then 2 hours! Waiting time, with 5 clients in front of us to receive the rental agreement (it was already fully prepaid online) and 2 Europcar staff members helping at the desk. How is this possible? I am a Travel Industry veteran and I have never experienced this before in my life... and has caused a huge frustration and a very late arrival at our final destination! Which in this case with this treatment in unacceptable!
Europcar really needs to do something about this!

The offer for the Jeep Renegade (higher seat as I am almost 2meters tall) as good! We did not receive this car by the way.
We appreciate your feedback regarding Europcar Greece. Despite our apologies for any delay during your pickup, there was a long delay in some flights on the day of your reservation. Due to this delay, some of the reservations of people who were on time coincided with those who were late. Because of this, the delay was quite rightly mentioned, which was the cause of the delay.
