I ordered tickets for a show in Aruba and they sent tickets for the wrong date... I called to have them resend my tickets with the correct date and they said they could not help me. They told me to contact the event planner but would not tell me who the event planner was or how to contact them. They gave me so so many stories and did nothing nothing for me... I will NEVER do any business with Eventbrite... BUYER BEWARE!
I've read the previous reviews and I truly have yet to have a bad experience. I downloaded the app from Google play store, added my ZIP code and pretty much, they took it from there. Most of our local clubs and venues are listed, I click the Buy Tickets option and I immediately have tickets. They store my tickets on the app and also email me scannable tickets. I have an obsession with our local blue's clubs and musicians and for me, this app is PERFECT
I had my participants absorb ALL fees, in the end Eventbrite still charged me, the organizer almost $1000 in "event fees." This was in addition to a $200 processing fee. It is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to get a live person on the phone or even in a chat box to discuss this. Eventbrite will take your money AND RUN. DO NOT USE.
I've never had any pleasant experience with this so called "service"… it has no human contact it's all online and when ever I see it's involved with anything I refuse to go to any of its events… is it a scam or just mindless faceless people ripping everyone off. Curiously it seems to be popular with government departments and councils… one star is one star too many. AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS!
I started a way to help Artists during ISO and Eventbrite without any communication deleted
An event where an Artist had reached well into the thousands and a much needed injection of money
2 days out from event draw for Painting I get emails after emails that the event was refunded
A conversation might have averted the drama that they have caused
I purchased tickets for a Tim Burton event by Costumes and Themes through EventBrite.
The event was completely FALSELY ADVERTISED and EventBrite claims no refunds because the organizer has a strict "no refunds" policy.
So an event planner can create and event, advertise it as somethings, not deliver, and attendees have NO WAY TO BE ISSUED A REFUND.
THe organizer has refused and EventBrite refused.
BUYER BEWARE. I will never purchase another ticket through this site.
Good luck trying to get anyone on the phone to talk to at event bright. God forbid they over charge you for your tickets (what happened to me). Its been a month since the event and I have still not been contacted or given a refund for the mistake. I have written countless emails and made many phone calls to the company. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS COMPANY. WILL NOT USE AGAIN UNLESS THEY CONTACT ME AND RESOLVE THE ISSUE.
Opened brand new Bank of America credit card ($19K limit) - purchased 1 ticket for Explorers Club event, NYC - an attempt to hack my acct. Within ONLY 2 hrs appeared via email in my inbox.
Email said my acct. Was locked (closed) please click link below and enter acct. # and password! ABSOLUTELY NOT!
Reported this email to Bank of America and they made me write this explanation and send everything via email to their FRAUD DIVISION...
Then researched Complaints filed against Eventbrite - 150 over the past three years & 50 within this year alone!
I'm assuming this California company is the culprit because of their past record and only 2 people knew of my new credit card # - Eventbrite & Bank of America.
Also reported this fraudulent activity to the billing / account dept at the Explorers Club, NYC!
PURCHASE TICKETS AT YOUR OWN RISK. THE EVENT WANT HAPPEN AND YOU WANT GET A REFUND. They allow fraudsters/scammers to create bogus events and when you ask for a refund via email to organizer and Eventbrite. The organizer doesn't response, but Eventbrite responds through email encouraging you again to reach to the organizer (fraudsters) to get a refund. When you already did that. BOTH ARE FRAUDSTERS/SCAMMERS!
BEWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM EVENTBRITE TICKET PURCHASES!
Shocking. I bought 2 tickets that were post posed by 3months due to covid, Ok I thought, then post poned by 12mths which no long suits me as I will be away that time and I was also hoping to take a friend who is terminal. I contacted them and they declined my refund request. I stated See Tickets have offered me a refund for an event I booked with them, TUI have refunded me (All because UK Law says event companies must now offer a refund) This company doesn't abide by the law. I will never use them again. Contacting them is very hard.
Free ticket is not being Honored by event planners. This is false advertising. Bad business, and correction should be made to your site before guest arrive
Do not, under any circumstances, use this vendor for event purposes. Does NOT update status of cocert and virtually impossible to get refunds on cancelations.
My family and I purchased tickets for May 28,2022. We received an email 2 days prior stating the event has been cancelled. We have been requesting a REFUND for a week and not only have the Organizer not responded, but the APP EVENTBRITE sends us a computerized statement to reach out the Organizer.
We have been SCAMMED... This is one of the reasons why taxpayers and citizens do not purchase anything online, my family and I just wanted to come out of the pandemic and enjoy ourselves and others who have experienced being excluded.
I would give zero stars if I could. I bought 4 tickets back in Feb'20. The event was cancelled because of COVID-19 and after 10 months begging for a refund, I have not received any indication of when they will return the amount. I've sent all the forms, called, everything that you can imagine, and still don't have a response. I feel helpless. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Paid for a half marathon event but they signed me up for a 5k. Impossible to get refund or any explanation of what happened. Got confirmation email and everything
0/10 stars since I don't get that option. Eventbrite is pure garbage and has been that way possibly since it's very inception. Btw Eventbrite, what is a woman? Bet you don't know either
I had a horrible experience with Eventbrite. My event was postponed and I received multiple emails saying that I could request a refund but it was impossible to do so. Eventbrite would not let me request a refund on their site since the event was not cancelled and when I would try to contact the organizer I would hear nothing back. I eventually tried chatting with Eventbrite on Facebook where the agents were extremely unhelpful. The first agent copied and pasted all of the things I had been trying to do for weeks. When I responded that they could do more to assist they said sorry that they could not help and closed my ticket out. I reopened it and asked them to contact the organizer on my behalf which they half heartedly said that they did. There has to be a more efficient way for Eventbrite to communicate with the event organizer and improve their non existent customer service. Eventbrite is a joke and I strongly recommend that you do not use them as you are on your own. They are the most disgusting company and the worst and most frustrating experience that I ever have had the misfortune to work with.
Can't contact to replace pdf tickets that won't open due to being corrupted. They say they are sending a link for acct, it never arrives, so can't login. Zero stars if you could.
This is what I received in my company inbox.
This saddens me! I'm a nonprofit that helps children and families affected by cancer and other disabilities. I followed the rules as far as I can tell.

I know for certain that A NUMBER of events posted on that site for my city are indeed scams. There is not even an option on the app which allows for me to notify EVENTBRITE of a possible scam so that it can be investigated and ultimately $#*! down. Smh
Answer: The organizer is no longer available when you send it
