This site is fraudulent and a scam, my girlfriend bought 2 tickets to an event, we showed up and the venue told us we were scammed by eventbrite.com and we can't even get a refund from them but only to purchase 2 new tickets let's the night of the event. Complete scam and wouldn't recommend Eventbrite.com for anything. Currently contacted an attorney for theft.

I purchased a ticket to the biggest festival in Santee, South Carolina, from Jacksonville, Florida. I was excited to attend the event, but unfortunately, my mom fell sick, and my work schedule changed, making it impossible for me to go. I promptly contacted the event organizers after purchasing the ticket on the seventh. Between the ninth and the tenth, I reached out to them, requesting a refund and explaining my circumstances. To my surprise, I received a denial of my refund today, April 21st, from the event planner. This is unacceptable, as they clearly state that refunds can be issued up to seven days before the event, which is more than enough time for me to get my money back, given that the event is scheduled for May 4th. This denial of my refund raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of the event organizers. It appears to be a scam, and it seems that they are stealing money from unsuspecting attendees. We all work hard, and we deserve to have our money returned if we cannot attend an event that we have purchased tickets for. I will no longer be using these event organizers for any future events that they are sponsoring. They are thieves, and I will not support their activities.

Can't contact them

My event was postponed. I asked for a refund. Never came. Can't reach them. All numbers posted are scams. I'll never buy from them again.

They are good about collecting your money but they don't give you any more details than what you see initially. The. Of course, the event is non refundable so you are stuck and if you call the event contact, they take days to respond and thats a challenge all in itself. So...if you think you were smart going through Eventbrite, that thought goes away and you are never comfortable wth your booking and checking in experience... unless you luck out and you actually get what you think you ordered.

From Great to Terrible

Eventbrite used to be fantastic. Then at the end of 2023, their brilliant engineers decided to revamp their entire eventbrite from editing to marketing and now it takes a lot longer to post and their email marketing consistently reads, "import is taking longer. Please check back soon" and it never imports your list. Their customer service is terrible. After struggling to finally find the option to "chat" you'll be on hold for a long time waiting for responses and their chat doesn't allow a feature to send them screenshots. Instead they ask you to go to an outside website and set an account just to send them a screenshot. Really sad to see how Eventbrite has literally died in the last year. I cancelled my premium service with them and I won't even post there anymore. Don't waste your time or money. Hopefully they'll be in bankruptcy soon.

Payouts a Joke
January 15, 2024

Our church never received two event payout checks that the company said were sent. Checks were then "reissued." Both finally arrived. The first check was cashed but the bank declined the second check. What is going on with this company? I used Eventbrite in the past when it was free and never had problems. Still waiting on the payout for our second concert after a month! Seriously questioning using Eventbrite in the future! Beware if you want your proceeds right away!

I would give a minus 5 is there was an option. There is no way to get customer support from Eventbrite, they only have chats, where you get contradicting information every time. After over a month, we still have not received payment for the event we organized and it's not clear if they will ever pay or just steal from us.

Their paypal and steal your money, i even got a real ticket on the eventbrite app, but i wont use them ever again. Nauti parrot in fort myers wont let me in and im not paying another penny for entrance, the dispute takes two weeks, so im just out money. Disgusting.

Eventbrite is awful

Not only is it an over complicated terrible app, but when you have problems there's no help to call. I ordered tickets, confirmed my email as it asked, clicked the link they sent to me find that I "had no tickets" can't get a refund or call anyone to speak. Terrible app, would never use for my business

A COMPLETE RIP-OFF

I am an event producer and have produced 45 events and festivals over the past 3 years. I have tried all their services and feel that Eventbrite is a RIP OFF. 1st of all they are charging you a percentage and their fees are already high. Now they are also charging a per event fee or a monthly fee. I have one thing to say: F OFF, you have lost my business. I will build out the ticketing on my site.
Plus their marketing suit is worthless, I tried it and spent a few hundred dollars with 0 return.

There is no way to obtain customer support unless you use the sheet they provide you. There is a clear error in there system related to my account and I cant get a hold of anyone to help. I think this might take the cake as the worst customer service I've ever experienced, since it DOESNT exist. Unless of course you are planning an event and want to make them money.

Total Scam!

The event The Unreal Garden was a total scam! It was horribly overpriced and so disappointing! It was actually embarrassing! I will never go to another Eventbrite event. EVER! Stay away from there events. The reviews are terrible and I wished I had looked at them prior to buying tickets.

Don't waste your money
December 31, 2023

Paid 90$ for a vip couples ticket. Event opened 30 mins after start time. Ran out of the free liquor within 20 minutes. Didn't have anybody at coat check apon arrival after almost 3 hours they tried to charge 10$ for coat check. Litterally no seating if you didnt buy a booth 0/10 would save your money and stay at home

We've used them for years -they went from free to $150/month and they charge for listing free events. Terrible customer service -no number to call customer service.
For paid tickets -they dont refund the customer the full amount either. They keep the $6 fee on top of the $150/month -dont use... try a different ticketing platform.

From an events organizer point of view - Dont use them -try a different platform.

NO REFUND

I really hate writing a negative review for less than $20 but it is the principle of the issue. I signed up for a Kwanzaa event and canceled about 20 minutes later as the individuals I invited could not attend. I could see if there was a statement of NO REFUND but I received a text /email that the refund was being processed. I bought through paypal and filed a claim which usually ends in my favor but not this time. OK I will always check to see if eventbrite is involved and if so I will find another way to purchase tickets.

ZERO stars!

These people are either totally dishonest or completely incompetent. I paid $175 for an event that I cannot get into because they never sent me a link. Their website just sends me around in circles -- no way to join even though I have my registration number. Clicking on the "This event is live, join now" link gets me a page that says "Sorry, this page is unavailable." I've e-mailed the organizer, who hasn't responded 15 minutes later because, I'm sure, there are many of us having the same problem. Needless to say, I DO NOT recommend Eventbrite for anything that's at all important to you.

Credit card info was stolen from the site
June 15, 2022

Keep your data safe by not buying tickets here. I have reason to suspect EventBrite has very poor data security as my credit card was leaked right after using their site. I barely use the card in question so I was notified extremely fast when fraudulent purchases started being made.

I would give them a negative rating if possible. No emails are monitored and there is no way to stop being charged recurring fees after ordering a single event. Help center is utterly useless. Avoid using unless you enjoy having to deal with incompetence and non-existent customer service.
