Evri has a rating of 1.1 stars from 453 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Evri most frequently mention customer service, next day, and delivery company problems. Evri ranks 1209th among News sites.
Only reason they got 1 star is because it doesn't allow to give a minus score, diabolical shambolic excuse for a "courier" (wouldn't even like to even put them in the category of courier), I'd rather walk all the way to collect my parcel with glass in my shoes than let this useless bunch pretend to care, lose the parcel then ignore all messages or contact, I have requested a call back 23 times in 4 days, guess what... NOTHING,
Waited in all day and no sign of them. Then received an email stating their driver had "missed us" I have a ring doorbell to prove they haven't been here. Cancelled the high value item with Pro Direct and will get a refund. If I knew they were using Evri I would never have bought from them. This is the third time this company has lied and stolen my parcels. Why any company use them is beyond me.
A next day delivery package (food items) paid for and sent (Nottingham to Manchester) on the 8th of November is yet to be delivered. Every attempt to get to them through calls and messages have been frustrating.
How can the post office go into partnership with this kind of horrible company?
Evri is nothing but a nightmare.

Made a next day delivery order to my workplace on a Tuesday. Didn't arrive until the Saturday. The apparent proof of delivery was a close up picture of the parcel on the couriers car bonnet. My parcel was the launched over our locked gate, which was then later STOLEN by a passer by! Absolutely disgusting service!
Pathetic company. Unfortunately, Evri seem to be delivery company of choice of a few of the biggest retailers around (John Lewis, Wayfair to name a few), and I've never once received anything I've ordered from these companies who have used Evri, going back to November. Edinburgh driver 'Richard' may as well have plucked a stock photo from Google to use, as I've never once seen him turn up on the days/times expected. Like most other reviews, it's been the usual 'delivery delayed', which inevitably results in no delivery at all. Awful.
Parcel was shipped last Friday, due to be with me on Saturday during a timed window. Saturday came and went and it's now Saturday again. There has been a single update midweek to say the parcel is now bigger than expected (even though they already supposedly tried to deliver it) and they need to use a specialist courier to redeliver. No indication has been given of when that might be however. Even the seller is unable to get more info out of them!
In all day. Parcel delivered to wrong address. Photo of bin with parcel NOT MY BIN. NOT MY HOUSE. My garage is specified safe place. House and gate clearly numbered. Can these people read? Dreadful service. So some one else now has my parcel. Doubt if I will ever see it
Lets be clear, this is just Hermes, nothing different apart from their awful new name and logo. I was stung before, and received nothing, they lost one of my parcels, never to be seen again. Now, they are Evri, they lost my box, worth £250, cant find it, dont know where it is, apparently between my local depot and the courier, whatever that means, regardless, they lost my parcel. You cant speak to them, their chat is a bot, they are like some sort of bot scam. I cant for the life of me see how Evri can still be operating. I am out of pocket for the second time, this time im insured, so hopefully will get the value of the goods back this time, but i wanted the box, not to wait then get a refund. Utterly useless.
Tip for consumers:
Do not use this company. I repeat DO NOT USE EVRI, you may regret it.
That's 3 parcels lost and 4 damaged this year is completely impossible to contact them in person they want you to pay £6 to speak to a Human person. Or you go around in circles with the automated chat.fu*k that will use ups.
Tip for consumers:
Do t use try else were
Evri have now lost 4 of the last five parcels. There is zero customer support aside from automated services that lead you in circles. The courier appears to rely on fake 'attempted' deliveries that didn't happen, the parcel is then never seem again.
This time the parcel has come from abroad and been passed to Evri. Evri have recorded but not made a delivery attempt. According to Evri, this did not happren as the number is not recognised.
Awful service and a complete lack of support.
I returned an item which was damaged. They said my package was not pack properly. The thing is I didn't close the top of my box because I thought they are gonna check it. I just wanna say if they are not gonna pack it for me, the courier can tell me that. I can easily pack it up. It is not reasonable that you can obviously see the package is not secured, you can foresee it's gonna be damaged during delivery. And you still collected it without saying a word. It's such a bad experience. Anyway I do not get any competition. Terrible terrible experience.
We have a lovely lady who usually delivers our parcels from Evri and had no problems at all with her, however I have needed to return a parcel recently and on each occasion no one has been but will say they have and no one was in. To make matters worse the same guy (courier) delivered to my neighbour on at least two of these occasion and she is like arms length next door to me quite unbelievable. And trying to speak to anyone, whats the point don't think they know the meaning of customer service.
Goods Paid for, but never received

Hi
I'm truly sorry to hear about the unfortunate experience you had with our delivery service, especially the incorrect delivery of your parcel by our delivery driver.
I offer my most sincere apologies for the stress and inconvenience you have endured as a result.
We hold our couriers to a high standard of service for every parcel, and it is disheartening that we have fallen short on this occasion. Rest assured, I have already identified the courier involved and shared the details with our local delivery team. Urgent measures are being taken to rectify this issue promptly and prevent its recurrence.
Please don't use this company, who employ thieves as couriers. I had a parcel sent to me by a video guy I had employed and who I supplied a camera to. When he returned the camera back to me, it was stolen from the parcel, leaving only an external hard drive also sent left within the parcel.
This company accepts no responsibility for the actions of its employees and frankly I would never trust this company to send anything valuable. Too many light fingered employees makes this a risky service to use.
Evri used to be very good but I think they're employing lazy staff because now it's pot luck if you get your goods what a waste of people's time. Will not have anything to do with this company. Goods got stolen cheers Evri.
Completely useless customer service! I Sent a parcel to California and it was marked delivered. Problem is the recipient has not received the parcel. When I tried to type in the postcode to get details of the journey taken, it would not accept it. I the. Went onto Evri's customer service/help procedure online and the same thing happened. The bot ("Ezra") was off absolutely no help & gave up trying to track the parcel after the first attempt. It simply stated that a postcode was needed (which, of course, rejected) & directed me to their FAQs, which were totally unhelpful. It is hugely problematic when "service" companies try to do things on the cheap to win business only to have customer service suffer. This is yet another company that obviously does not value either its customers or its own reputation. Avoid Evri & use a courier service that has HUMANS manning their customer service!
Tip for consumers:
No human being anywhere in the customer service. The bot they use is first generation backward and anti customer service, it would appear.

The most disorganised company ever. It is impossible to speak to a real person, you can only access the customer service through the chat bot. First, one of my packages was stolen because they 'left it in a safe space'. Right, they just left it in the lift of the next door apartment building! Since I don't want to go through that anymore I'm now using my workplace address and guess what? They've tried to deliver my parcel, multiple times, after the shop is closed! And on top of that Evri doesn't send your order to your local post office so you can collect it later, NO they send it back to the seller! Awful!
Multiple items simply vanish in thin air but Evri don't even notice till you tell them, then your query simply vanishes just as quickly despite promises and assurances. They claim they are achieving 99% of deliveries out of 700 million annual items. So they are loosing 7 million parcels a year. Thats one every 4 seconds round the clock. All these parcels MUST be somewhere. Theft is the only explanation.

Worse than Hermes ever was. Name changes doesn't not improve a service Martin needs sacked for his incompetence. My item arrived today having been sent 25th Nov 2022 even though I was told it was lost and they didn't insure lamps. I'm boycotting every company online who uses them. If everyone did that then maybe they'd improve or disappear Holly the auto bot is a mega tool too. She needs sacked also.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid at all cost and boycott online companies who use them
Useless liars. 'Tried to deliver but no one was home' Rubbish, I was in, I was waiting for the parcel you were meant to deliver! This happens every time this company 'attempt' delivery. Never any security camera alerts, so they clearly don't come anywhere near the property. On the odd occasion when they do manage to deliver, its thrown over a field gate onto the public right of way that runs through the garden. Probably just gets thrown out of the window as they're passing. Its never within the suppliers 3-5 day delivery slot and mostly ends up returned to sender after '3 non-attempts' at delivering. I try avoid these jokers at all costs but sometimes the suppliers don't make it clear which courier they use. I'll be ringing and checking in future.
Never again will I purchase from a company thats uses Evri. Its never easy getting anything from them.
You get tracking information the next day telling you that they tried to deliver your parcel yesterday.
Unless you are hermit and dont go out any other delivery company would be better.
Still waiting for parcel- sent 17 days ago. Bargain one-of-kind item I can't just purchase again. Tracking won't give anything other than we've got it! This is the last time I will every pay for an EVRI delivery. Absolute joke of a company.
Not the first time I am being screwed over by this joke of a delivery company. Stayed home all evening, waited and waited. Then just got automated email that they weren't able to deliver today. They are expecting me to stay home another day because they keep screwing up? Cannot believe people are using these clowns for delivery. Avoid!
Why does anybody still use this company for deliveries. They may be cheap but what good is cheap if consignments routinely don't arrive at their destination. I just waited in for my third "we tried to deliver" saw the van pull up, driver took a photo of my open front door, from inside the van. Then drove off. Before I could get to the front door. Previously they've left packages on the (public) footpath outside the front door or just lost them. Note to sellers. Avoid! I'll pay for a reliable courier.
This company is being watched by Goverment bodies now and need to be shut down tracking is out the window 10 days sat at there hub not moved they can change there name from hermes to evri but we all know who you are and if not I will rest assure make it a mission to tell friends and family and others wanting to use them do not liars and thieves

I dropped my parcel off for next day delivery and three days later it still hasn't even been collected by EVRI. The drop off store says that they haven't collected for a week now depsite numerous phone calls and promises. Try speaking to EVRI customer services is a joke. I eventually managed to raise a ticket with a promise of a call back from them. Two days later, not a word or an update via email. These are possibly the worst delivery company in the world. Words fail me.
Sellers have no recourse
I posted a secure, well padded item via Evri. My buyer had a message "Your parcel was damaged in transit and cannot be delivered; please refer to the seller for refund".
As the seller, I cannot contact Evri to make a claim. It isn't possible. There is NO point of contact that works. Their chat-bots and phone-bots give the same answer my buyer received, and then you get cut off.
I hope they don't rate their success by the amount of refunds given - low refunds means no contactability, not better service!
UPDATE! Evri have responded to my review, ignoring the bit on their bots. The only thing the chat bot online will tell me is "we can't deliver your parcel, it was damaged" and "contact the seller" - there is no facility to do more.
They told me to ring the number: same answer and THERE IS NO OPTION FOR LEAVING VOICEMAIL!
Date of experience: 19 February 2024
