Evri has a rating of 1.1 stars from 453 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Evri most frequently mention customer service, next day, and delivery company problems. Evri ranks 1209th among News sites.
Only reason they got 1 star is because it doesn't allow to give a minus score, diabolical shambolic excuse for a "courier" (wouldn't even like to even put them in the category of courier), I'd rather walk all the way to collect my parcel with glass in my shoes than let this useless bunch pretend to care, lose the parcel then ignore all messages or contact, I have requested a call back 23 times in 4 days, guess what... NOTHING,
Waited in all day and no sign of them. Then received an email stating their driver had "missed us" I have a ring doorbell to prove they haven't been here. Cancelled the high value item with Pro Direct and will get a refund. If I knew they were using Evri I would never have bought from them. This is the third time this company has lied and stolen my parcels. Why any company use them is beyond me.
Unreliable delivery company. Best to avoid ordering from any sellers who are using Evri. I could see from the tracking info they had my parcel since 12th october and there was no updates after that, only when I raised an issue with a chatting bot (mind you there's no way to talk to an actual human), got notification saying it will be delivered yesterday 19th October, then it was cancelled and I'm still waiting for my parcel and no info when it will be delivered
It took them 20 days to return a parcel to Scotland and no clear information during that time. They have lost the plot. Issue we've got it notices before goods picked up leaving goods at doorways in communal entrance flats. Issuing delivery notice 5minutes before parcel arrives thrown in doorway then issued delivery notice whether you are in or not. Really appalling service. On my Scotland return they altered details on their tracking information. I am sad this company has deteriorated to this..
The worst experience of my life. I am from Spain and I bought a book through Abebooks in an English bookstore and the book never arrived. In the tracking they had the nerve to say, successively, that I was not there, then that I agreed with them the delivery at a later time (I challenge them to prove that, obviously it is a lie), and to top it off, that the address was incorrect or incomplete (something false, and also contradictory to all the above). I think that someone should file a complaint...
I ordered a worktop cooker a week ago from Amazon. They lied, saying my signature was on the delivery on the Amazon order tracking when I wasn't in the building. My request to deliver it to a neighbour was ignored, and the parcel on its side with half the packaging missing AND an empty pack from someone's lunch rubbish!?! Photo attached.
In August 2022, I also ordered a £550 gaming PC from Amazon, for my autistic kid's birthday. It eventually arrived 9 days late, by which time the kid had to be taken to hospital in crisis because of it.
Sadly for Evri, it's gonna take more than renaming the business to fix the institutionalised dumpster fire of a delivery company!
The delivery chap didn't bother to turn up on the delivery day, I had a text saying there were access problems. I live in a cul-de-sac with zero access issues! I'm right on a path with my own drive and ample spare parking next to my house! I was also home all day! There was no communication from them, he then turned up the following day and threw my parcel at my front door hard! This was in view of my two neighbours who were out the front at the time!
Tip for consumers:
Do not use EVRI AKA HERMES!!!
Recently, I had a unpleasant customer experience with Evri. My Package was returned due to incorrect address as their system refused to identify postal code at their Hub. My supplier emailed to contact Evri urgently other wise, it will be returned & no refund will be applicable. When I approached Evri via their App, no option was available to do a chat with system. The helpline number unfortunately was unable to recognize word "R" in my tracking reference to proceed further and I ended up emailing to Evri CEO about zero-Customer care support. When I received a call from Evri meanwhile my package was returned already. My supplier was unable to change the address either due to system limitations. Thats all miscommunications between the organizations ended up frustrating customer/ Loosing money/Causing trauma. I would not recommend anyone to do business with Evri due to unethical and poor customer care support.
Packages left unattended (many times), deliveries being postponed for days (forcing me to stay home and missing weekends just to not have my package left on the street) and last, the courier not even knocking on the door and simply getting an email saying "sorry, we didn't find you home". Well, you would have, if you just rang the damn doorbell!
Tip for consumers:
Don't.
It was booked for the next day delivery and still after 5 days not delivered and tracking number is also showing nothing.
*** This is happened 3rd time Defiantly stop using them***
Date of experience: 04 January 2023
Worst experience ever. I paid extra for quick next day delivery. Parcel was late for 4 days. And it comes totally broken, looks like someone played football with it. Inside was a console ps4, and it's completely destroyed. Evri answered me that they sorry and they assure me: "that they are 100% committed to ensuring every parcel arrives safely, however each parcel goes through several handling and transportation processes and on rare occasions, this may happen" -great 100% you have! Anyway they won't refund because parcel contained a computer which is listed as an excluded from compensation item and cannot be claimed for. "Terrific" service you even worse than royal mail. I will never use your service again.
Tip for consumers:
Never use their service. That's 2nt time I had a terrible service with them. Total funds loss is - £150. Extremely do not recommend evri
Hermes saw fit to rebrand as Evri because there was so much negativity and bad reviews under their old guise. Well guess what, it's a case of same abysmal service, different name. Automated complaint system that goes around in circles achieving nothing, no picking up from the depot, no accountability for their inability to locate a missing parcel. They had the previous nickname of Herpes because they were considered a disease amongst courier companies, I suspect it's only a matter of time before their new name becomes "Evri parcel lost or misdelivered".
Tip for consumers:
Don't use Evri, they are cheap for a reason
This is the courier of nightmares. Do not order a product if it is delivered from Evri. They claimed to deliver to my address and when I looked at the photo evidence it's not even where I live! I told Evri about this along with showing them an actual photo of where I live and they said 'these things happen' and have returned the parcel to the sender with no apology or effort to deliver to the correct address. Simply the worst.
Just can't get my head around poor customer service.
Keep changing collection date and then thank me for cancelling delivery!
Worst part is no easy way to give feedback or to complain. They just direct you to their Awful chatbot that can't deal with anything.
Placed the package outside house on main road fully accessible and visible to public. Ignored delivery instructions. Did not try to deliver it to neighbours checking my CCTV. Just chucked it ontop of post box. Ultimately it got stolen. Could not get in contact with anyone, no reply to email, Instagram, twitter, Facebook. Finally got a reply after 5 days saying because it's been 5 days I have to speak to the supplier. Done on purpose I suspect.
Either totally corrupt or totally incompetent is the only description I can give. They lose your parcels then give you the run around with their convoluted tracking system. Then after delay tactics they finally admit they have lost your parcel but surprise surprise you are now outside of their claim period of 30 days. Absolute Crooks!
Absolutely appalling service. Used to be Hermes, different name, same S$%T service. Had several parcels go missing, its next to impossible to contact them as they only really have this terrible chatbot that just sends you round in circles. Please for the love of god avoid this company. You're better off throwing your parcel in the river as it has more chance of arriving at your customer.
Due to an upcoming wedding I am going to, I have been ordering a lot of items. Yesterday 2 items were due to be delivered between 13.30 & 15.30. At 13.10 I received an Evri email that my 2 parcels had been delayed and they would be in touch about my parcels today. Still waiting! There's just over £50 worth of stuff I am waiting for. After past experience with this Company I doubt I will ever see my items again. One item is a dress and am worried that this dress will be out of stock if my Evri parcel doesn't arrive. I am dithering about reordering the dress but then I will be constantly concerned that Evri will once again disappoint me. It amazes me that Evri are allowed to trade as a Courier Company.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use Evri, read the reviews before using any Courier service and you will find out the best of the rest.
Works well until it doesn't - What really sucks is that I kept heariing about how rubbish evri is but i ignored it. I organsied a parcel collection, they did nt turn up and changed the status to 'thanks for letting us know you no longer want the parcel picked up' - I've tried everything from the stupid bot on evri.com/help-and-support/help-centre to the phone number *******456 (which is just their bot again) all within thier opening hours but i can't get through to an actual person to sort this. They charged me for the pickup but haven't picked up and now I can't speak with anyone to sort it - total joke, would rather pay more than get ripped off like this, at least royal mail are honest about it
Tip for consumers:
Use any other service, might be a little more cash but will be less hassle
The most disgustingly useless delivery service possible. From when they were Hermes till they became Evri. Absolutely disgusting service. How can they take money for collections and say they attempted collection 3 times and no one at home. 1. I work from home. 2. My doorbell can wake the dead. 3. When they sent me an email for missed collection and I went on the customer service portal it said they were unable to pick up that day and would arrange another time. 4. You can't even send a message via helpline. 5. To make there fraudulent activities worse the line is a premium number that keeps you on hold forever. This for a service I paid 4.99 for. I would not normally bother with reviews but this is sooooo blatantly disgusting.
Nothing ever comes on time. Have to chase them every day in order to get an update on my parcel. I have been waiting for more than a week now for something I have order with next day delivery. More than likely it was stolen or got lost…
I am only giving them a 1 star because it won't allow me to give 0.
They have consistently refused to deliver a package, I believe the driver simply doesn't want to carry it up the stairs so says "couldn't deliver." I have been at my apartment to ring people in, or even help carry it, for 3 days, and they've said they've tried for 3 days to deliver and have failed. This is impossible as every other package gets here fine. I know the ringer works. I know it's easy to find. They're choosing not to deliver.
Their customer support doesn't exist. I can't get through to anyone, I've tried chat bot requests, sent emails, called, and there is no way to speak to a human being to actually solve my problem.
This is, by a wide margin, the worst delivery experience I've ever had.
Tip for consumers:
Burn it to the ground
Rebranding was utterly pointless when there is no effort made to improve customer service.
Yet again parcel has been lost, yet again no response to emails or messages. They treat parcels and customers with the same contempt and disregard they always have. At this point I actively avoid suppliers who use Evri as they are so unreliable.
Very bad service I have spent over £60 on shein they said they delivered but didn't send me any number to open the box at morrison I emailed them so many times all they keep saying is it has been delivered now I lost £60
Tip for consumers:
I have lost most of the item I ordered so I can't say anything good about the service
Products used:
Tshirt
They have two of my parcels on hold for a week, still not sure I will get them. Meanwhile I finally received one that was meant to be delivered in May! 6 months later, and i couldn't get in touch with anyone to complain. So one stare is more than enough. How can a company operate so badly when others are so perfect? I just don't understand...
Keep texting regarding multiple items that vanished in the depot with no answers, customers angry impacting my business and this company can't even reply to acknowledge the issue... Hermes was but this rebranding is even more
They are just so so bad its hard to believe
"Losing" parcels, attempted deliveries that in fact werre never attempted at all, customer service who acknowledge they got your message, then do absolutley nothing else.
I could go on,but by now you know it all
What I am doing now is to find out which courier a person or a company uses, and if it is them, use someone else.
Also go back to your seller and ask them to deal with EVRI.
Any other suggestions welcome
