Only reason they got 1 star is because it doesn't allow to give a minus score, diabolical shambolic excuse for a "courier" (wouldn't even like to even put them in the category of courier), I'd rather walk all the way to collect my parcel with glass in my shoes than let this useless bunch pretend to care, lose the parcel then ignore all messages or contact, I have requested a call back 23 times in 4 days, guess what... NOTHING,
Waited in all day and no sign of them. Then received an email stating their driver had "missed us" I have a ring doorbell to prove they haven't been here. Cancelled the high value item with Pro Direct and will get a refund. If I knew they were using Evri I would never have bought from them. This is the third time this company has lied and stolen my parcels. Why any company use them is beyond me.
Probably as a result of the Covid years, my family has eased into the convenience of online shopping.
Obviously, many companies offer different levels of service: some offer really quick dispatch times with excellent delivery drivers, others seem to generate problematic issues with delivery and returns.
Evri, in my experience and opinion, is really, really, really, really poor in its' approach to delivery.
We began to have parcels being just "left on the doorstep". This might be a spin-off from the Covid years, (where person-to-person contact was avoided), but it's simply not acceptable now.
This became so much of a problem, that I actually have a sign on my door instructing Evri to either knock the door/ring the bell. If no answer, leave with my neighbour at 45. If no answer please leave details of re-scheduled delivery, but DO NOT leave it unattended on the doorstep.
Consistently, parcels are still left on the doorstep.
I don't know if Evri employ too much foreign labour where understanding English is not high on their list of priorities. I don't know if each individual delivery driver just wants to get the parcel dropped, so they have absolutely no duty of care towards doing their job correctly.
What I do know is that many of the companies that use Evri are paying an additional (small) fee for a SIGNATURE.
Handing a parcel to the recipient, or posting the parcel through the recipients letterbox is a successful delivery - leaving the item on the doorstep for theft or susceptibility to foul weather IS NOT.
The reason for this review, is that my daughter recently ordered a collectible book, which the company sent via Evri.
We arrived home to find a small bundle of soaking wet mush on the doorstep, with the parcel being out all day in a rainstorm.
We are now asking companies NOT to dispatch our parcels via Evri and, if they, do we will shop elsewhere.
Terrible company, no communication whatsoever! Claims manager called Ian Mellor just rude, providing absolutely no help. He is just there to make the company richer. Anyone who works there should be ashamed, the most horrible customer service I have ever experienced
5 or 6 times now, delivery guy in Glasgow West, called Thompson, has notified me hes coming to uplift a parcel for return. Never once turned up!
Similarly for months now, hes consistently left my parcels on the stairs outside in torrential rain, flung parcels inside the communal lobby causing the contents to break, and never once buzzed my apartment. Parcels could easily be stolen and have been damaged. I dont often leave the house due to health issues so he cant say Im not home. Total disgrace! He should be sacked!
A terrible company that never delivered my package, also leaked my personal data and tried to deduct money from me. Fortunately, there was simply no money on the card. Never contact them!
My heart sinks every time I see a seller has chosen to use this 'courier.' They NEVER get it right, and today was no exception. I waited at home all day, watching and waiting for them, until the tracking info suddenly changed to 'delivered.' No one else in the road knows anything about it. So far I've been BOTH told that it was handed to me personally, AND that it was left in my designated safe place.
Okay, today marks 75 days since Evri lost my parcel. This isn't the first time; however, this time, I insured it. Despite dozens of emails through Ezra, no one has gotten back to me. Besides some automatic emails, on one occasion, they provided a link to check the process of something that doesn't show up on the webpage. Kindly, now a week ago, someone replied to my negative feedback asking to get in contact with them, so I did the same day. I am still waiting for a reply from them. Well, I give up at this point. Now, I will make sure family and friends won't be using this company ever again. Also, anyone sending from this company, I will reject making business with Evri ever again. Besides, I paid for next-day delivery, and they never deliver on time anyway.
Now we'll into week 2 in getting delivery of an M&S gift card.
Tried contacting Evri numerous times. Today was the last straw. Called and after many parcel numbers discounted, finally got through to someone. After a few minutes they cut off the call and when I called back it was permanently engaged, no doubt as a result of other enraged customers chasing their late parcels.
Evri are staffed by decent guys delivering parcels, but the company sucks, the communication systems are shocking and if anything goes wrong it's virtually impossible to speak to them.
I strongly suggest you all avoid any company using Evri as delivery agents. They are useless and will likely cause you much stress.

I work at an NHS Mental Health Facility which is open 24/7 and fully staffed for security reasons.
Yet the courier has been refusing to deliver this and reporting it as unable to deliver for 3 days, so far customer service has just said if they don't deliver it a third time they might finally bother to look into it leaving me in limbo.
Spoke to Reception Management and they said that Evri never delivers parcels to this address but claims it cannot deliver about 6 times and then steals your delivery every time to every person he has spoken to about it.
As we see many deliveries, and resulting queries if they are missing, he has confirmed this has happened over 25 times so they must be making a lot of money off of this site.
Considering they are robbing both me and mentally ill patients who are unable to leave this site to collect from a collection point I am disgusted.

Shipping with EVRI has been an unreliable experience.
The lack of transparency in certain aspects, especially regarding hidden or poorly communicated size limitations, led to unexpected fees and further complications. This lack of upfront information added financial strain and frustration to an already dissatisfactory experience.
My parcel arrived empty, small hole in the side where an employee has stolen my items and can't even get speaking to someone from customer service. Tried with the online Agent but it just sends me around in circles. I'm disgusted with this company. Much be the worst out there.
Every time I see an item is being delivered by Evri my heart sinks because I fully expect a problem. One of the most annoying things that happens frequently is getting an email to say the parcel has been rescheduled but they're still delivering that day - then of course you know very well it won't arrive at all. Parcels in "processing" for days on end, or even weeks. And when they do deliver the people they employ are careless in their work, throwing packages around, and items often arrive damaged. I absolutely hate this company. If you run a mail order business please, please use another company. It's amazing to me how they remain in business. My review is based on numerous experiences with Evri.
My package has been stuck for 10 days in a Evri warehouse (formerly Hermes). There is no data on their site to contact the company. Therefore I cannot communicate with them. It is unacceptable that ebay and amazon accept this company for deliveries.
This for them, is quality service... just left it there... what did he think would happen?! Incredibly disappointed with this level of stupidity... every time, they dont prove me wrong... stay away from this company. Its never ending issue solving with these guys.
Honestly every time this carrier service is used by a company I buy from I know I've made a mistake. Pay extra for next day delivery doesn't turn up, no way of getting eta. Always same weather excuse, winter, spring, summer and fall. I know sometimes weather causes the UK to shut down but I also know when there are no issues just be honest you can't hit targets. I'm now going to check before I shop online who they will use for delivery and if its evri I won't waste my money

Evri delivery driver stole my parcel. I have a ring doorbell and CCTV so very clear footage of him doing so, along with his car, so no question at all about who did it. There is absolutely no way to get through to Evri to report this. The automated chat is beyond useless. It sends you round in circles and didn't ask the right questions. I ended up reporting damage to my parcel as there was no other option. Still nobody has got back to be, regardless. Just terrible, terrible customer service. An nobody cares that their staff are stealing from their customers. The same delivery guy delivered another parcel to me today and I do not want this man on my property.
Evri have just delivered a box set valued at £100+ - bloody awful as per usual. Intercom buzzed - was met by a tirade of angry-sounding eastern European. At least they buzzed my intercom and spoke before leaving my parcel on the doorstep. I don't understand why anybody would use them...
I am so fed up of checking on the app to see my parcels are still stuck saying update on parcel. I can't find a way of talking to anyone just a virtual online thing that is no help at all! I am cross they have lost three parcels over the festive season! I have wasted so much time trying to chase these up & then having to go back to the companies I have purchased them from to try & get a refund. I have given 2 stars as don't normally have probs with this company but I am very dissatisfied with the lack of customer services, in fact it is non existent! Come on Evri sort yourselves out!

They tried to deliver my camera at work on a sunday, the industrial estate is locked by 6 foot high gate. So rather than come back the following day, they threw it over the gates and wrote down i accepted it? I got a email 3 hrs later saying it had been delivered. I was lucky it was still there

My door was open all day because of the heatwave today. I was keeping an eye and I'm 100% sure nobody attempted a delivery yet online track showed 'no one was in'! So delivery cancelled. Rubbish service. Get out of business please! You're dishonest and dodgy. No respect! Thumb down!

Businesses should avoid Evri as a courier
This is the worst delivery company in the world. The courier left my expensive parcel in the communal entrance of my building where hundreds people walk in and out everyday without even trying to call me or take the lift to knock on my door.
As result my parcel was stolen.
This is the third time that happens the first two I didn't give too much importance as they were cheaper but this one was over £200 purchase and very important. From now on I'll buy online only from sellers who don't use this company for delivery.

Evri can no longer deliver to Newbury, West Berks.
I am not going to add to the large number of poor reviews of this company. Sadly it is now the go to courier for all eBay purchases.
I will just let future users know that Evri does not have a personal courier for their Swindon and Newbury districts. You will receive many lies about 'out for delivery' status followed by 'problems with your parcel' and then no delivery ever occurs. Complaints by the 'chat bot' are ignored.
A frustrated eBay consumer.

This happens every time. Most recently I was in the whole time, they had my phone number and apartment number and the door to our building is permanently open anyway so you can access the mail/delivery area. They never rang my bell, never called me, and clearly didn't attempt delivery, but updated the progress 5 mins before the window ended to say 'we had trouble accessing your address'. I refreshed the delivery page every 2 minutes for the whole hour window too. Absolutely useless should not even be operating.
I've just received a parcel that was sent using the next day delivery option and it's taken 10 days to get here! It wasn't picked up from the Parcelshop for 8 days. It's not the first time I've been let down by Evri and I now ask online retailers who they use and won't order from ones that use Evri, unfortunately this one lied to me and said it would be Royal Mail.
Absolutely rubbish, I received one star review from one of customers thanks to this shameless business. Terrible service, those people are layers, still your money and they don't deliver. Avoid avoid avoid especially if you have a business.

You will be shocked at how careless and inconsiderate this EVRi driver is when delivering a parcel today. At 10:23 this morning, 19th April, he dropped our parcel into the porch, then pushed it further into the porch with his foot so forcing a large and very attractive vase to fall and get damaged. You will see that, even though he notices what he has done, he does not try to remedy the situation but just leaves the damage, so demonstrating his inconsiderate nature.
