“They cheat”

Lisa H.

My credit score is getting better and better but Experian reports my ratings going down as I move from one category to a lesser category. When I check it out they want money so I can dig deeper into what I'm sure are false reports. You guys are scaring people just so you can get more business from them. Merica the great.

This is unbelievable, how can one company have such terrible service and such control on your life and business. This company has the wrong information on my report, its literally another companies' info. IT would take 2 minutes to correct if i could get anyone on the phone. They are terrible, someone needs to do a class action lawsuit asap! This company is causing irreversible damage to people daily.

If you go overseas forget about trying to access your Experian account. The phone numbers don't work for customer support and there is no one to help you. This company is atrocious when it comes to customer service/support. I hate them.

Just because I needed to put a freeze on my credit back in May 2018 is NOT. A valid reason for Experian to ssd's ign me up for membership and charge me $21.95 per month for membership that I never authorized. I didn't approve the membership or the $21.95 monthly fee. Pretty odd that after nearly two years this just now shows up as a monthly payment on my card. Not cool Experian

This the worst company I have seen in my entire life.
Zero customer service.
I needed to call my bank to stop the automatic payments after one month trying to cancel my account with Experian unsuccessfully. I paid off one collector debt and it was still in their system 5 months after, even though they sent the information immediately after my payment.
Absolutely insane.
Stay away from that disastrous company.

Experian refuses to remove falsified information. I had a collection over 10 years ago with Farmers Insurance Group FCU. That company continues to falsify my payments to continue the debt. Experian continues to lean towards the big corporation rather than accept my disputes.

Experian is already doing a job of monitoring your credit, I signed up with them for several months with no improvement on my credit and debt at all. I even had my first identity theft fraud issues until I had to seek better credit improvement with a credit techie on instagrm {webghost33} who helped clear my cc and loan debts of over $43,000. To my surprise, all negative inquiries and bankruptcy statements were removed totally from credit report. If you value your time and money, you'll cancel your subscription with them and do better with your credit restoration. Imagine i had very poor score which got worsened with FDR, now My current score is 720s and it could get even better.

I recently started paying attention to my credit reports. Experian is approximately 100 points below other two main agencies. I.e. I paid a derogatory remark and on Experian, they dropped my score. I used my checking account to pay cards they dropped my score. This is an agency that controls your interests and if you receive better loans and cards. It seems criminal although it is not to make these decisions on these matters of your finances. Does anyone understand?

I have used and had a membership with Experian for over 30 years, I always was able to reach a live person. No matter what number is on Google or the Experian website they will no longer put you thru to live agent.

This is very dangerous to us considering they control our lives with these reports.

Tip for consumers:
This is outrageous that there is no way to speak to a live person. say your buying a house and report is incorrect. etc. the government needs to step in with these creditors to protect us from their errors and fraud,

Products used:
none u can speak to anyone for help or questions.

I frankly think the FCC which is another company that don't do their job, should investigate Experian. My score has been the same for over a year I mean it hasn't changed 1 number up or down. This company hijacks your information then sell it other companies who want to deny you credit. I'm sure they are working in cahoots with redlining companies and loans companies and rental agencies that pay them to give them denial ratings. Now they are asking credit cards how is this even legal? I will also start asking merchants I acquire credit from if they use Experian credit report which I will very promptly go some place else. This company is as negligent as it's unprofessional noisy foreign customer services departments!

My card is being charged every account I have on my phone shows no connection. The woman hung up after I told her I am being charged an I needed to speak with billing. Super unprofessional and rude still paying for someone else report and with that not being fixed is allowing a mystery membership to be paid off my card. Fraud is ok with them...do not trust their employees with your information

My score dropped from 770 to 755 in one month. I have a gym membership on one card and the rest are a tank of has each month amd I pay off every month. My auto loan $1,000 a month and is direct deposit. They had no explanation why I dropped so drastically and suggested I hire a credit specialist. What a joke our credit system is! Amd we are trying to buy our first house on 2 months and this happens. Just awful...

You cant talk to a real person, nor the any of the web sites show you how to REMOVE a dispute. I just keep getting the run around. All the other companies took one phone call done in minutes.
This is the worst service ever. No help for anyone no matter what number i call.

Constantly making monetary errors. When I complain I am told we just report what the bank info is sent to us. BS!They have their own formulas and algorithms which they can not explain. My score is about 20 points lower than other scores. Used boost and then quit. My score dropped 16 points immediately because I was using their product. Started back on boost and score only went up 2 points. My credit history is perfect. Longest account is 22 years but I am docked points for not having long enough credit history. My car insurance went up even thought I had no accidents or tickets. I asked why and they said because your experience Credit score went down. I was told it was a law in NC that car insurance could use the score to increase the cost of insurance. My other 2 scores are well over 800. Experian sucks. I wouldn't trust them to walk my dog.

This site will supposedly figure your financial. It almost does except it didn't want to accept my checking account or other credit card to do their figuring off of. I have a paid membership which was great when I only had once card but now I have 3 active cards which this system won't let me upload. As much as things get hacked these days it's probably best I abandon this site because I don't really need it anymore.

When I first signed up I was amazed at how great experian.com was as a company, and again I was wrong they let me down they are supposed to be a legitimate site yet they are taking inaccurate credit information in and affecting my credit. Poor website I'm so angry they are letting these companies scam a college student. I will be hiring an attorney

One of the worst customer experiences that I have ever had. It is impossible to speak to a human by pressing "0" or asking for an operator. They ask for your SSN# and I had a simple request to "unfreeze" my account. They texted me a code to confirm my identity. I entered the code and... five minutes of bad parlor jazz. I assumed I was moving to the next step, but apparently it just never registered the numbers I hit. At no point during this five minutes did a voice come in and interrupt to say, "I'm sorry, we didn't get that." Or to repeat the instructions. The artificial intelligence they have is blindingly dumb, which is no surprise coming from a company who is basically in the armpit of late capitalism. The reason I "froze" my credit in the first place was due to a massive data breach. Just goes to show how companies with a captive market can abuse consumers without recourse. Experian sucks.

Has to be on of the worst company's to deal with. Clearly their goal is to make it impossible to talk to a human. Oddly enough, when you call in to discuss your identity theft, they ask you the same questions SSN, street address, ETC. that the thief already has access too. The only way I can reach a human is to go through my Discover card account, call them directly and they will transfer me to a live operator at Experian. Such a joke.

I subscribed to Experian's Premium Reporting service at $24.99 a month plus tax. I changed my payment method and after several months I realized they were still billing both cards for the service. I cancelled the service and I had to cancel both credit cards and have them reissued. I spoke with Experian and they refused to correct the problem claiming I was paying for two separate accounts and there was nothing they could do about it. Do not use this service. Imagine a company that rates your credit and steals your money. I'm not sure if ironic is even the appropriate term.

Verified purchase

The automated bot needs to ask less $#*!ing questions and have the option to connect to an agent from the getgo. And the agents shouldn't start off saying that a refund doesn't typically happen. Then turning around and saying they'll contact someone higher to request an approval. So even they they gave it to me as a one time courtesy I'm still giving this 1 star review for the customer support.

This company should be dissolved. You cannot get a person on the line to help with anything and the IVR bullies you into making only selections that lead to more automation. What a total trash experience. I haven't cursed at a robot in a long time.

This gimmick website promises you a free credit report. As you continue you learn there a small fees involved. If you give your credit card information you will be billed the same day and billed again within 8 days for a membership that is $10.00 more than advertised. If you call and cancel, you do not get a refund, but you also cannot use the website you paid for.

A single "credit report" costs $25. The first issue with that (aside from the very obvious one) is that it doesn't give you any real information or advice on how to improve your credit. The second issue (and the real kicker) is that just requesting one causes your credit score to go down. By a lot. The idea of a credit score is already nonsensical enough as it is, but Experian is just exceptionally stupid and unhelpful on all fronts. Don't listen to anything they tell you.

The street address where I live is unusually long. My credit report on Experian shows all sorts of different addresses, all of which are errors because of computer screw-ups of my long address. Will Experian allow me to fix this easily, NO! They want me to call them and talk to some nincompoop phone clerk.

Experian has had numerous cyber break-ins. I trust Experian as much as I trust a used car salesman. ZERO

To put it simply, Experian sucks.

Tip for consumers:
Beware of Experian! Don't fall for their phony credit increase nonsense. Experian wants access to your bank account, including your personal login and password. A person would have to be insane to reveal this information to anyone else. No one knows my bank login except my bank, as it should be. I trust Experian about as far as I can throw a Mack truck.
