I stand with Chew! No need to be so jealous and hateful Mark! All you have done is make a bunch of people mad. O congress please make more intelligent questions you embarrassed us. Plus talking to someone the way you did is unacceptable.

OK, so it's not voluntary! Facebook is forcing me to use a so-called more secure way of logging in. First I have to enter my password. No problem there. Then I have to read a barcode with a barcode scanner. Doesn't work when I enter the code! Tried it numerous times, using different barcode-scanning apps. I am locked out of my account! Great job, Facebook! Orwell's 1984 has nothing on you!

More interested in the games. Don't feel that the site protects us enough from predators out to spread viruses... facebook should stop allowing ur info to be shared. So be very careful there... can meet interesting people there however!

Facebook is a great way to connect to individuals across different social circles and across the globe. Very few sites give you the ability to keep in touch with old friends from high school, relatives that live far away, or even make new friends in your area or not. I've had a great experience on Facebook, the only reason that I gave this site four stars instead of five is due to constant changes in the user interface as well as a tricky learning curve while learning the social media site can provide a few obstacles to your enjoyment.

This business is to be avoided, they are slick, personable, and very friendly. Yet, they do not hesitate to cheat you at every possible opportunity. In my instance they tried to charge my almost double the advertised price for a used bike, adding on ridiculous fees for Dealer Setup and assembly on a used bike.

I recommend staying away from these folks. There are plenty of honest dealers out there.

Just wanted to mention that i received this notification from Facebook regarding an old expression I used in one of my comments. This is what happens when you have someone creating the standards, that does not have a solid command of english language. I used this expression, "hit the nail on the head". It means you are on point. It has nothing whatsoever to do with violence. This is not even censorship. It's simply ignorance. It is amazing that fb hires disqualified person for the job. Or some programmer was told if you find some keywords flag the post. In my case the words are "hit, hammer and the head". That's is very sad and funny at the same time. Please like this so fb realizes that they are absolutely 100% wrong.

Great platform for connecting people with others whether they are in same place or locality, state, nation or overseas beyond any discrimination on the basis of caste, gender, race or nationality. But its addiction capture the youth who spent their entire precious time on it whether focusing on their future. This addiction spoils and ruins the teenager specially.

Never take anything to this shop! In June 2014. I took my Scooter in to have a bigger motor put in it and it was perfect before they touched it! Now it does not run the wiring harness has been chopped to pieces. Parts on almost all of the plastic outer panels have the tabs snapped off. My purple LED lights strips that ran along my panels have had the wires cut and were destroyed. I have spent so much money that I could have just bought a brand new scooter. I decided to walk it home broken because it is now November 21,2014. I will have to replace 3 plastic panels, buy another set of Led purple lights and who knows what else. Along with find someone to fix it. In the end, it will cost me approximately 1,400 dollars to have my scooter back to almost the perfect condition that I gave it to them in. Five months later and it is not working.

It's good for getting in touch with your friends. But not for making new ones.
Oh & be careful of people who report your posts. If you say something that makes someone upset, whether it was intentional or not, they will side with the person who reports your post. Even if it's something harmless, you could very well get banned. A friend of mine was once called a racial slur by some racist white supremacist lady. She said it to him out of nowhere. She just messaged him saying "How do n**** like you still exist". So he told her where to go. But then she got angry, & reported his profile picture... which btw was just a picture of his face smiling innocently at the camera. There was nothing else in the picture other than the plain white wall behind him. Facebook decided to remove his profile picture & ban him for 60 days. 60 DAYS! For what? Nothing. They just decided to be jerks & listen to the "offended" lady. So there's Facebook for you.

I don't even know where to begin, I guess i should start by saying that social media is run by predators and bullies. Got banned in the span of two days because of what I guess was an attack by a hacker. That's right, you get punished for something that's not even your fault.
Also had an incident with a mob of cyber bullies, in short this site is a joke and if you're a sane self respecting person don't even think of this site. Facebook brings out the lowest, meanest, and most disgusting people out from the darkest depths.

It's a great platform to keep in contact with your friends and relatives. However, they should get better at taking care of all the trolls and haters! Get a better report system and actually DO something, maybe that would give you five points!

Thanks God we have Facebook! It is the one site where I can keep in touch with my foreign friends! Indeed, every country have their own mail service, and sometimes it becomes a big problem to receive and send messages, but with Facebook I am really happy!

Facebook is wildly popular. Almost everyone I know has one, and it's really convenient if you have relatives who live far away. But there are many privacy issues with it. It's not safe to post anything there, really. If you are fine with everyone knowing your business, then FB is the site for you.
Another problem with this site is that people in general are annoying. There are the over sharers, who tell about every single thing they do every day. Then there are people who post a constant flood of memes. Don't forget the people who post vague stabs at "unknown" people who have apparently wronged them.

I am also sick of seeing "If you don't share this, you worship Satan" type things.

I'm sorry but FB is NOT great. As I mentioned before, it may be convenient to talk to family members you never see, but I don't know if it's worth all the irritation. Why not just call your family?

I have to use Facebook for work because a dimwit at my job thought it would be a good communications tool for the company. Now, I'm front of the monitor checking on Facebook from Twitter...
I had to suffer through intermittent outages but 3 hours and counting?!

I enjoy the posts and groups on Facebook. I really like the memes and reels. It's very entertaining.
But, I don't like their so called community standards. They are unreasonable and step all over our fundamental rights of freedom of speech. They get more and more restrictive in a selective way. Banning and bleeping out everyday words as they see fit. As well as restricting accounts if you offend them.
Who's community standards? Opinions are usually offensive to someone who doesn't agree, that doesn't mean they should be stifled or removed. Facebook doesn't have the right to preach on what's moral or what's offensive because that's just someone's opinion.
And when you are accused of violating their community standards, you get no recourse. No reason why, no chance to defend yourself or give any feedback on the issue.
I feel they overstep their authority and their community standards is garbage.

According to Facebook, star ratings encourage more people to rate a business, making it eligible to appear in the news feed. This helps readers discover new businesses, while businesses create greater brand awareness

I am giving Facebook 1 star due to unfair censorship and restrictions on my account. As an atheist, I frequently share memes and posts that poke fun at religion or question religious beliefs. However, Facebook routinely removes my posts and restricts my account for 'violating community standards.' These posts do not promote hate or violence, they just express an atheist viewpoint.

Facebook claims to support free expression, but that clearly only applies if you express mainstream or religious-friendly ideas. Atheist and humanist viewpoints seem to trigger the censors and result in account penalties. I have had posts removed and been blocked from posting for days at a time just for sharing content that would not bat an eye if it were Christian or Muslim in nature.

For a platform that is supposed to enable open sharing of ideas and bring people together, Facebook is quick to censor and restrict atheist and humanist members.

This site looked promising at first but then it turned very quickly. I ended up on a post that I had beliefs in but they were not coinciding to the clique's opinions. I quickly found myself being bullied, of which, i stook up for myself. If this had been in person, they would've been charged with abuse! Needless to say they kicked me off COM, obviously they need better management! I would stay clear of this site and do it the old school way... Chat with other moms in person and/or read up on it from a book or using Google...

This is the Facebook page of Athens Nanny Central - which I started up partly as self promotion when I was living in Greece for 6 years. I have kept it going despite leaving (and returning yearly!) Athens, since I know Athens well, and now help other nannies and parents to find each other.
I post all kinds of information and advice about children and childcare, and related subjects. In the future I would like to expand this to a real business and move up from giving free agency links, to being paid for my advice and help.

I discovered Facebook (FB) slowly. Computer education and personal circumstances made me privy to realistic expectations for social media. Ultimately, members learn it's best to marginalize FB information----yours and theirs--and treat all interactions like a gabby friend. The latest FB nonsense: "persistent notifications." Recommendation: Treat FB like entertainment only, and go put your face toward the sun.

As a social media platform FB is the bomb. There is little they can do to open up the world to itself. Data protection for their users is poorly handled though and not just because of recent headlines.

I enjoy how almost all sites across the internet have facebook built in. So if you like something, you can share it to your wall. Something simple as this can turn the facebook news feed into an show of interests among friends. Though this is not a central part of my life, its something nice to go along with it.

A few weeks ago I would have given this 4 stars, but given Google's attempt to try an make something better (and in my opinion failing) I think that I now have to give this site a 5 start rating. It's got many things wrong about it, including terrible customer service (it's impossible to actually speak to someone or email someone directly), it's just that everyone is on the site. Easier to contact people on here than email.

If any other company had this many data breaches it would have been shut down long ago. What make facebook immune with no real customer service and no accountability. This site should be shut down until its made accountable for its past. And new checks put in place and a new for of reporting to the public when breaches occur, like every other company is required to do.
