I spend a lot of time on facebook keeping up with friends and playing those addicting games. I've had a few people contact me that I really didn't want to contact me, but overall it has been pleasant.
The games on the site are addicting, yes, but also annoying. They constantly pester you to add friends and pay real money for fake money (horrible idea). In the middle of gameplay they will pop up an annoying box telling you about a discount you don't care about.
Default privacy settings are sketchy, so make sure you take a close look at them before revealing superfluous information about yourself.
The interface periodically changes without warning which can be confusing.

Just recently bought a new device and shipped the old one back (my mistake) because I forgot that I turned on 2FA and now I can't access facebook on my new device because facebook doesn't recognize my new device and since I no longer have my old device I cannot get the required generator code. So facebook wants a photo copy of my ID for verification. I've sent this a half dozen times and after 3 weeks of no generator code facebook still hasn't verified my ID, they haven't answered my emails or inquiries on their support page... just horrible customer service, one should not have to wait this long for a response and still get nothing. And I have other apps and important accounts I use THIS facebook account to log into that I now can't access. Its very sad I can't get any correspondence from ANYONE at facebook!

At one point in time, when people wanted to meet new mates, they'd go to the mall, theater, park, etc. But someone had the not so 'great' idea one day to make an online platform where you can meet people from all over the world and then... never talk to them.
Who cares if you only have 3 mates at school and one of them is the lunch sheila who scoops mashed potatoes? As you can have 3000 mates of FB that are eager to read your every waking thought, look at your booty, or steal all of your images and then use them to catfish other people, well, you're going places!
If you like having your information stolen and sold to companies, while not making a dime but giving the founder pennies on the dollar for each second you're glued to your screen, you're in the right place! If you love giving away your every location through live streaming to your eleven and a half fans, so that the big bad's in the world know exactly where you are, what you look like, and that you didn't like that bagel you ate earlier, well, then Facebook is right for you. A lobotomy might be as well, but that's irrelevant.

Facebook is very good for some purposes. Very bad that it is now combined with Google. In the news it has been reported that they take down anything related to what interests gun owners or anyone getting interested in guns. I searched for how to clean guns. Literally maybe 50 U-Tube videos would pop up, and I would have my choice. All were very similar, but with differences. They show how to lubricate, but choose different methods and lubricants. That is just one example. Travel videos on U-Tube were taken down and replaced with paying companies. For example, when I would search for Colombia, I used to get a lot of sources, including individuals who would tell their experiences. Now, one can not find those individuals unless one puts in their names. Instead you get magazines and professional articles trying to get you to go to their attorneys, real estate agents, etc. The information is designed to get you to buy products to find out more. For example, they say that health care is excellent, and some basic financial information, but no specifics unless you subscribe to a magazine; and even that is not focused on any country, only all countries. Probably, they provide more sources of information for which you must pay for information. Facebook and U-Tube must be looked at with a skeptical eye, and closely regulated by government and others. It is as if there were only two or three newspapers, and more were not allowed. Today, there are only a few news sources, but there is competition despite bias. Facebook and u-tube has competition locked out to a large extent.

Hundreds of people have been scammed by this person (he is not a gentleman), I ordered a 'Bullet Whiskey Glass' and was given a bogus tracking DHL ECommerce tracking number and like hundreds of others, never receive the goods ordered. Looks legitimate to start with as your order is acknowledged and you are given an order number and tracking number but you will receive NOTHING! Check it out on Facebook and see how many people he has stolen money from. He has been reported.

This person (Iván González) is a thief. He imported my products from China. Then the goods were damaged at his warehouse. When I keept asking about my goods, he blocked me from FB, he blocked my cell phone. He reimbursed partially, the remaining amount he stole it from me. Facebook have so much racist post on their website. I'm a black woman and I see alot of racial slurs and pictures and memes and it's very irritating when I decide to speak my mind I ALWAYS seem to get blocked from my account for not meeting the standards of Facebook policy and I'm sick of it. It's not fair that people on Facebook post racist memes using the n word but I'm the one who gets punnished for speaking the truth and my mind! Facebook has become a political battle and a rasisct website. Get rid of it.

FB banned me back to back for a comment I made back in 2015 on another website (Worthiness News) not realizing the site is attached to FB and finally got back in after being banned for 2 months then 2 weeks ago I was banned again and had not even been back a week yet over a video I shared with a private group page which showed a African American man seating in his designated seat on the plane and then this entitled white woman asked the Flight Attendant to seat her else where or him because he is Black.

Going on my third time in Fakebook Prison it is clear that we have have been hypnotized into a social media that is the sewer of all times. The COMMUNITY Standard does not tell us who the the community is and how it is formulated. "The Community" is an unknown logarithm that has no ability to recognize "The Community" therefor becomes a mystery entity that has complete authority and ability to mold young minds into the new "Mythology".
