If you look to renew a passport - pay close attention to the people that are "helping" you. Fastfilings is an expensive service that doesn't tell you that you can do everything online for FREE - save the $130 blood money. The only expense Fastfilings has is postage and labels on FREE USPS mailing envelopes. And perhaps the 30 seconds to 2 minutes it takes them to "earn" your "non-refundable" for ANY reason whatsoever money by putting labels on envelopes and two FREE documents inside the envelope.
They are very clear about the no refund business, an instant red flag. But they are upfront about telling you that you will never get a nickel back from them.
I Google searched "passport renewal" and their ad came up, but I neglected to realize it was an ad and not a reasonable service from the government - you'd think the $129 included the money for the State Department since their cost is maybe $3 - they don't offer the option to get the passport card or add any emergency contact information. You can find the US Government form online for free and fill it out and print it in just a few minutes. You can even print your passport photo at home if your printer can do pictures on photo paper, there are a number of FREE sites that will take your image and size if properly so you can print 4 copies of a selfie and use one of them for your passport.
I would be happy to supply all the links necessary, FOR FREE or I will do all the work for $5. Fastfiling is not your friend - a clever gimmick born out of California (no surprise)
If you write to them with any complaints or buyers remorse, remember they are snowflakes (flakes for sure) and any word they don't like, nothing dirty, no cursing, but any word they don't like that is a good descriptor will cause some kind of trigger, probably similar to TDS and maybe launch them into therapy.
Save your money - you can do everything they do for the cost of 2 pieces of paper, a piece of photo paper and postage. You can do it all without ever leaving the house, other than going to your mailbox, but you do that everyday anyway.
