Buyer Beware!
September 21, 2016

Yep, Fellas... You must be very careful because there are many who say: "I love you." in a week or sometimes even less. This is because of a couple of reasons. First they think that Americans/older men are lonely and love hearing the "I Love You." scenario etc and Secondly they are setting you up to probably believe them and/or trust them so they can start whining about how hard it is... Mamma is sick... They have so much heartache etc... and BAMM... If you don't buy into their inadvertently asking for money etc. they drop you and go onto the next victim. I met a real knothead from Manila who was showing her naked body and masturbating with at least 10 guys and of course these perverted men would send them money. And if you stop and think about it... 10 men sending minimum of $50.00 dollars a month or even more. They have their game going. So I would encourage all men who are considering a cow from Filipino Cupid to take your time and check them out diligently because there are crooks and then there are crooks.
A thought to ponder on... If you do happen to meet an honest one etc. You fly to the Philippines, Pay for the hotel and feed the whole family, Wine and Dine them all. Come back to the US and continue the long distance relationship including sending money for marriage ceremony and an occasional gift here and pay a family members bill etc. then fly back do the same thing all over again. You are screwed buddy. Is this prostitution? Or is it just paying for a bride. Buyer Beware. There are many Filipina women already in the United States and if you are sincere it would be a lot more safer and less expensive to travel within the US VS going to the Philippines and getting rolled, robbed and your heart broken. Oh by the way... If her name is Gina Quijencio better run as fast as you can because she is not only a crook, but she is pimped by her brother and her mother as well.

Site is a hoax
September 21, 2017

Have not found one person on here legitimately looking for a partner. It is a TOTAL waste of time. Many fake profiles appear in one's inbox and appear to be computer generated (non-responsive). Of the women that do reply to a message - they are all after money and when you spell out the fact you aint on there to send money they disappear. Many of them are part of scam syndicates where the woman might appear once or twice on camera then insists on typing to correspond (often citing problems that prevent her being on camera.) In these instances it became clear that the person that is typing messages AINT that woman that you saw on camera. Look for the the tell tale slick communication style with heaps of fullstop marks, curtness, and little information - I was left with the feeling that often blokes( in the philippines and elsewhere) that have access to the the same skype or messenger site as the girls and they have better grasp of english and SCAMMING other men, so they take over the communication. Insist on only speaking on camera (no typing) or to a reliable phone number where you can deploy your own "voice recognition". I am yet to find one person that can provide this level of contact - doesn't that tell you something. Some people claim to have met legit partners but i would be VERY surprised whether these aint just postings from Filiipino Cupid affiliates.

I look reasonable for 40, have friendly nature, have been honest with my profile, have been sincere about meeting a partner, and have paid for a subscription but no results after weeks chatting here. The management should be ashamed because the site is laughable and completely contrived, and it appears that they are quite happy that for it to be used in this way, if in fact they are not directly involved in the layers of deception themselves.
The irony with all this is I have been convinced by many that the Philippines is actually a good place to visit for men seeking single women, and for meeting solid life partners. This site leaves you with such a bitter taste in your mouth as to belie this fact - it should be closed down.

I am a Platinum member of FilipinoCupid.

Variety of genuine women looking for long term serious relationships. I've seen a lot of negative reviews saying the woman are nothing but scammers. In my experience this is not true. Are there scammers? Absolutely. But most of the women on the site are generally looking for love. Will some women ask for money? Yep. But don't send money to people you haven't met in person. The Philippines is not a first world country. Most of the population is poor and there are not a lot of jobs to be found. The jobs there are, pay an average $8 a day. So of course, any unexpected expenditure is tough on them. Guys, do a little research or better yet, go visit the Philippines to see for yourself. Your lack of being educated on the Philippines is not a problem with the Filipino Cupid website. If you are looking for fun or hook ups don't bother with this website, go to Tinder. These women are not looking for you. They can find all that in Filipino males. Be kind, polite, understanding and respectful and you will meet plenty of genuine women. Also, for those complaining of being billed, they tell you very clearly when signing up for a paid membership that you are on auto renew. All you have to do is go to your settings under payments and turn off auto renew. If you fail to read and understand what you are committing to, that is your problem and not the sites.

Pros
Many real women looking for a committed long-term relationship.
Yearly membership is a bargain compared to a lot of other sites.
With paid membership, reverse matches and mutual matches are very beneficial.

Cons
Most search functions don't give enough options.
Lack of detailed profiles among Filipinas
No video chat on site

Tips to avoid scammers
Don't send money to people you have not met in person
If their profile lists a location outside of the Philippines, be very cautious. Almost all residing in United States and China profiles are scammers.
Don't disrespect the women here by asking for nudes or sex chat or they will disrespect you right back by taking your money.
If they want to take you off site to Google chat or Whatsapp immediately, don't. Stay on the site. It makes it difficult for site admin to remove scammers if they cannot see the messages.
Follow your gut feeling. It's almost always right.

I hope my review was helpful to those of you on the fence considering buying a paid subscription.

Newest scam on FC I have had and they don't even care when reported to them.

WARNING! 'Visa and travel' scams from Guangdong, CHINA

I keep running into major pockets of these scammers on dating sites. These scams are conducted by West African men, who are residents of the Guangdong Province of China. Primarily they are in the city of Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, and Dongguan. The profiles they set up will indicate the lady is in these cities, or generic area. She will be an asian lady, (Chinese, Filipina, or other) 28-35 years old, Single, no children, and working a domestic, meniall or minor administrative job. (Nanny, caretaker, tutor, salesgirl, clerk, administrative assistant, etc) The girl will be mildly attractive, to pretty. The scammers have multiple pictures of the girl. They usually will have an excuse to not show a face on cam. (Broken, no time to go to cafe, boss is strict, etc) Occasionally they will use a recorded loop of a girl over a webcam, but for short durations. They do have 'Asian' females helping them, usually to talk on the phone. The girl will profess love too quickly, in a few emails, and will want to travel to meet the victim if the victim pays for the trip and visa, via a FAKE 'visa and travel' agency. The emails are sweet. They are possibly 'scripts', like the 'Russian' scammers use. (the same email goes out to many men) The 'Visa and travel' agency will have a website you can look at, but it's a FAKE agency site, set up by the West African scammers. You may also be asked to email or phone an 'agency representative'. You will be emailed a real looking travel itinerary, assorted bills and invoices, but they are FAKE, and no girl will arrive at your local airport, if you fall for this SCAM. They are also doing some other '419' scams via these dating site profiles, as well. Make sure you see a face on cam, and if the girl is in love too quickly... something is not right. NEVER SEND MONEY TO SOMEBODY YOU ONLY KNOW FROM THE INTERNET. Research the REAL 'visa and travel' procedures for your country, and remember, 'poor' asian people do not get visas easily to western nations.

95% Betrüger
May 25, 2021
